    Thank you so much for your wonderful methods . I have a question please , If I like to use this extract in a skin cream. Shall I take from it and mix with the already prepared cream .or shall I add something else ?
    And the purpose of glycerin here is to have a longer shelf life as a preservative or to have it in a form of facial serum ?

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Adding such a high percentage of vegetable glycerine helps preserve the extract.
      Yes you can add it to your skin cream. First check the ph of the cream before adding in any extract, after adding the extract, check the pH again to make sure it is the same. If not, you need to adjust the pH

      @cecilvig  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      Thank you for watching the video and for your comment. If you just prepare a tea and add glycerine, the extraction will be poor in terms of benefits. That is why the hot method needs to be prepared for about two hours on low heat.

    Love watching your videos! 😍I just came back to this one because I want to try it. However, I had a couple of questions first. Can I use these methods to create carrot extract? Also can I just use the juice squeezed from grated carrots or do I have to dry them out?

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Yes, you can use this method to prepare your carrot extract but. You can use fresh carrot juice to prepare your cream, unfortunately it will not last long. Drying them out will help prolong the shelf life if your formulation. You ca watch this video to see how I extract carrots juice for cosmetics formulation: th-cam.com/video/Pp1dvQEtMyI/w-d-xo.html

    Thank you for your videos, very useful in particular for beginners like me.
    I tried to make face cream with green tea water, actually I boiled the tea with distilled water. This didn't work and the cream colour turned brown instead of green... Is it mandatory to use Ethanol to extract the green tea?

    • @cecilvig
      @cecilvig  2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The best substitute for vegetable glycerin is glycerine usually made from palm oil, coconut oil or sometimes soybean oil.
      There is also Animal-based glycerin which is made from animal fat, like beef tallow, so it isn’t vegetarian.
      There is synthetic glycerin, made from corn syrup, cane sugar or propylene which is petroleum-based.
