Hi Tara , absolutely love all of your formulations. Thankyou for taking the time effort and time to share them. I also happen to be from India and loved this turmeric infused oil video. We literally have turmeric in almost everything we cook. Haha. All our curries / lentil dishes etc etc. :) Also a fun fact , in India we have many kinds of turmeric too. The yellow one is most commonly used. The other amazing ones are - •White turmeric or Kasturi manjal (this one won’t leave yellow stains on the skin. Smells stronger too than the yellow). • Black turmeric which is uncommon and rare which has very high antioxidant properties. • Lakadong turmeric is gaining fame because this variety comes from east India and has a higher curcumin content than the yellow normal turmeric. This one is more yellow too. I use it in my face scrub with ground rice for a lovely skin feel. 😊✨
Love this video, growing up in India, whenever we got sick flu or cold, my mom use to boil milk and add Turmeric and Honey and make us drink it. I hated milk especially boiled milk. It is a very popular remedy for the winter months being sick. We use turmeric almost for all the foods. One of the best uses for brides before their wedding day, to give them a full scrub face to hands to feet. I have my own business, making some amazing soaps with Turmeric and few other family recipes added to it. keep up the beautiful videos. you are great.
Sorry I haven't replied to too many comments under this video. I'm really busy with the shop relaunch, so excuse me for that. Just know I appreciate every one of your comments and I read each and everyone of them 💗

Dont ever stop being you. 😘 Im always looking foward into learning new formulation amd recipes from you. It’s always a pleasure to see new content form you, you inspire so many people. I love infusing my oils too especially aloe Vera infused with sea moss it’s like using an expensive emollient in your formulations, I’m definitely gonna try the turmeric…… so happy the day I started following your channel 💕
I love this video being I’m always infusing herbs for my small biz. I use most of the time my crock pot and infuse overnight, in the morning I strain and viola! Thanks for Sharing, really enjoyed 🥰
I have turmeric growing in my back yard. I absolutely love it. I make tea with it too. I did infuse mine without heat for two weeks. The colour is truly amazing. Great video, thanks for sharing.
I cold process my turmeric infusion for some weeks. I don’t use tea bags tho so that’s a good idea. Will have to order some for my next infusion. Love your channel by the way. It has helped me understand a lot about formulating.
This is amazing, I was just think about infusing Tumeric for my friends daughter with acne just to test out and as I was googling your video pops out, I am definitely going to do it. Thanks Tala.
yassss i am a big fan of you Tara from India,i have been watching your videos for more than 8 months now!! you're so talented and amazing!!! ❤keep rocking, sending tons of love, power and positive vibes your way 🤍
Hi Tara. Love this video... I usually place my oil/turmeric infusion in the hot sun for a few days followed by a day or two in a cool dark place. Then, I add other skin conditioning oil last. before adding to soaps or using directly onto skin...
😭 it stained my sling and smells like turmeric. 😂😂 I didn’t use tea bags (which would’ve made the process so much easier). Is it supposed to tint the skin and then wash off? I made a test batch for my daughters and me. I’m still going to use it every night and see what a difference it makes. Thanks Tara 🌿
I am glad you did this and you answered the question I have about staining. I have to make mine and was wondering whether to use safflower oil because I see a lot of the suppliers using safflower oil for infusion. Thanks so much for sharing your knowledge with us.😍😍😍😍😍Oh! Congratulations 🎉🎈🎊🍾 again on opening up your store.
@Alyssa Michelle Thanks for your comment. What is PUFAs? I have to do a reference check on one of the books that I use for learning more about some of the oils, “Power of the Seed” by Susan Parker and it says that Safflower oil has high-linoleic acid and high-oleic acid. She noted that this oil is compatible with the skin and is deeply moisturizing bringing fatty acids quality to the skin. Some oils are cheaper, not because they are bad but because they are more readily available - meaning that they are not necessarily available only in one or few regions of the world and they produce in abundance. Some are expensive because they are not even oil in the first place, one of such is jojoba oil which is a liquid wax.
Did I miss something? How long are you supposed to put it on your face before rinsing it off? And how many times a week is it safe to use? I hope every day because it feels amazing.
Hello from India!Love the way you make your videos and learn so much from you:) I do use turmeric for skin care and it is a great source .We, Indians use turmeric in almost everything from a golden latte to our skin. Nice content! Great going!
Hello Tara from Nigeria, am a big fan of all your formulations video. You are so accurate and upto date well done. I love tumeric so much as well, but I have a question, can't the tumeric be added directly must it be in a tea bag? And please can you do a tutorial on how to dissolve Kojic acid properly without heat?
I'm going to try this and wanted to start my own skin care journey I'm just overthinking and stopping myself bbut your videos give me the confidence to start so I love to start small sa you said love you taraalee♥️ from india please make an easy option to pay on patereon
Love your channel but I want to know. What is the difference between making my own oil infusion for skin instead just buying a 100% organic tumeric oil and just add it to my essential oil of choice... Or Do you get more of the tumeric properties without staining the skin more By making The infusion recipe you showed us to make?
How do you determine shelf life of your oils? Do you just got by the use by date on the bottles they come in? I tried infusing hibiscus flowers in camellia oil. I use it on my face and love it. I only heated mine for around 20 mins before straining but it still seemed to work ok.
Thanks for the video. Quick question please!!! For lowering pH, do I add the same citric acid amount I added from the test cup directly to the formulation to get the same pH level and then test again in another sample cup?
hi tara ,im very curious as to why you didnt use a alcohol base instead of a oil base for this ? using a alcohol base might have been better. what do you think ?
Hey! So I made the 10% NIACINAMIDE and was wondering why it peels ??? I followed the ingredients and instructions to the T. Is there anyway to prevent this? The only thing that helped me was applying it while my face was damp.
Hi Tara, thank you so much for your incredible content 🌷I can't wait to make my own Turmeric oil! I know that using fresh turmeric is a bad idea, but what about fermented turmeric? I did a bit of research on fermented skincare, but can't find much about people who did it themselves. Lots of love from Denmark ✨
Hi Tara, can you please make a video of how to know when to check and adjust the PH of a formulation? Or do i have to do that for every product? Thanks for the response
I already have a video all about pH. th-cam.com/video/OfoZ6B40NSQ/w-d-xo.html I recommend watching my entire formulating for beginners series - th-cam.com/play/PL3bXzssoexWbJHk5fD_eRlCEnaJAOaIw1.html
Hi Tara and all her followers. I'm desperately trying to figure out if an eye gel is possible that doesnt contain oil or glyserine. Its for use when wearing eyelash extensions... any help would be appreciated.
Love your video!! Appreciate the tips. A few questions plz…How do you store the oil? Also do you add anything for preservatives? How long will it last without preservatives?
You can simply keep it outside the refrigerator, no need for preservative once it won't come in contact with water of any sort. I'm not sure however feel free to Google the shelf life of turmeric, jojoba oil and the Google the shelf life of infused oil. I should think you would find your answers. Let me know if you don't so I can help further.

Hi Tara. Love this video... I usually place my oil/turmeric infusion in the hot sun for a few days followed by a day or two in a cool dark place. Then, I add other skin conditioning oil last. before adding to soaps or using directly onto skin...
Hello lady
Instead jojoba oil can i use Almond oil?
This is great. I don’t make skincare products but I make perfumes. I’m thinking of getting into making soaps
Oooooh perfumes sound fun! I used to make soap a few years ago. I’m sure you’d enjoy it.
😭 it stained my sling and smells like turmeric. 😂😂 I didn’t use tea bags (which would’ve made the process so much easier). Is it supposed to tint the skin and then wash off? I see a lot of safflower oil too! I need to look into that. Maybe there is a reason for that.
& thank you so much! I’m happy to be back open 😊
@@TaraLeee I don’t know why too. The first thought is whether it had a longer shelf life.
@Alyssa Michelle Thanks for your comment. What is PUFAs? Can you use almond oil instead of jojoba oil

You can use fresh turmeric but you need to dry the turmeric first, since the water in the turmeric will effect the expired date of the oil.
Hi Tara, can you please make a video of how to know when to check and adjust the PH of a formulation? Or do i have to do that for every product?
Thanks for the response
I already have a video all about pH.
