Hi Jim and Cindy. I love how yous work together, joking and kidding about. Also love Cindy's giggle. Gee I don't know whether or not you should paint the nightstand drawer or not. I think it looks nice the way it is and would look nice painted as well. Maybe just leave it the way it is, then put in your ad you can paint the drawer if the purchaser wants it painted. I doubt this set will take long to sell. Yous did an amazing job on these pieces. I sooooo love MCM. Enjoy the rest of your day! 😊

These are actually made of the same wood (teak). Although the nightstand looks lighter in the video, they match pretty well. That's a vote for black on the drawer..... Thanks Kathleen!

Seeing you clean the sandpaper with the crepe rubber block brought to mind that I'm now using 3M Cubitron II which has excellent longevity and almost no clogging. Check out a sample pack from any of a number of online venders.

I must admit it took me a minute to get into your videos. Boy, oh boy, I am happy I did! That sand paper cleaner trick was awesome!!! I thought it was a brush 😳. I have to get me one of these. Do you have any tricks for the sticky back of sand paper? And I have a suggestion...take a corner or scrap of lint free cloth, put a little mineral spirits (odourless is my favourite) on, and wipe the threads on your wipe on poly. Ta dah' no more stuck lids. I'll send a bill next week...just kidding 🤪🥰

Hi Kaye! Thanks for watching! There is no real trick for the sticky back or hook and loop to make them last longer, but we do find that cleaning the front of the sandpaper helps. We think it's because that reduces the dust that gets under the sandpaper.

The chest of drawers looks great. It’s very sophisticated. I would leave the nightstand exactly as it is. I love the contrast between the drawer and the cubby underneath. It’s an obvious set but I don’t think the pieces need to be matchy-matchy. There’s an elegance to the pieces as they are now. Of course, you know what sells in your area so I’m sure whatever you decide to do will be beautiful.🌸

Leave the drawer. In a room they will most likely not be right next to each other and not noticed. When selling maybe separate them in pictures by a chair or plants in between

I know whatever you 2 decide will be the correct decision. In my mind, any time things are all-matchey-matchey it makes me feel a bit uncomfortable. Mismatched nightstands, possibly with compatible colors and/or techniques, always seem a bit more relaxed and welcoming. As always your attention to detail is beyond the norm.
