You turned a sad little half desk into a beautiful piece of furniture! A real desk. The wood looked stunning with your choice of finishes. You definitely have skill with serious woodworking equipment, they are as smoothly used while you work, as a musician playing lovely music on a piano.

This is a very beautiful restoration of a nice old piece of furniture. But, I wouldn’t call it mid-century modern. Still, a very nice job. Congratulations.

Un consiglio sull’incollaggio, utilizza un pezzo di plastica (cartella o busta trasparente da cancelleria) che è ottimo isolante per la colla vinilica e non attacca il legno che invece la carta attacca.
Grazie del consiglio, avvolte uso la plastica ma ho notato che tende a non far asciugare bene la colla

Nice to see something getting a second chance at life. You may want to use turn buttons rather than metal brackets to secure the top. These will allow the wood move without splitting.

Looks great, you did well, the knobs would not have been my choice as I’m more of a bling bling brass kind of person, but they go well with the cupboard and were handmade
