Hi Cory! I loved the way you repaired the lamp. 👍 The pattern enhanced the style of the lamp, and the contrast of light and dark in the paper really showed well when the light was on. You are knocking it out of the park with each new video. I can’t believe how you transformed the bookcase! 😯 The decor was summer camp/summer country to me. It has a fun, lighthearted feel to it. Lastly, you are looking great with the weight loss! Way to go! 👏😊❤🙏
Just love the transformation of the bookcase..the crackle finish & color were just perfect! You have such a knack for creating lovely, homey feeling spaces…!!
So great to see what you put together and how you transform old pieces to give them a new life. Love that lamp. It reminds me of a childhood wall lamp that I had as a child - all metal too. Though deep pink in colour. It now lives in a little alcove bed with bougainvillaea coloured walls.
Hi Cory! Loved this video. Your eclectic style works! I remember those metal lamps from my childhood. My Mom had great taste and style. Most of her 60's decor is so popular now! If only we saved all this stuff! Hope your summer is going well. Always look forward to your stuff; I've caught up with every video!! Stay awesome!
I don’t feel farmhouse, but I do feel summer cottage at the lake. Often summer cottages had a collection of random older things that people brought from their city homes that were unused. They filled the cottages with these random mismatched dishes, silverware, glasses, furniture, rugs, blankets, curtains, etc. not being used in their homes any longer. It had a very relaxed, unfussy feel where you didn’t have to be so careful of things. It was for summer play and carefree times.
Well what an awesome transformation on that dresser, just beautiful! I would buy that lamp in a minute if I lived in your area, what a creative idea to do making a sleeve out of scrapbook paper. You are so gifted in your thrifting and makeovers!
What a nice change for the shelf unit Cory!! Everything goes nicely together!! I was never a fan of the darker side of the 70's !! I liked the lighter colors and steered away from the fall colors! It was in the 70's that I really fell in love with wicker when I visited older relative's homes! My great aunts had lots of wicker and treasures that their father a sea captain had brought back! Yes everything was dark wood but the pretty floral patterns on the china, vases, glassware and stitched cushions really stuck with me! The light and airy summer curtains blowing in the breeze, beautiful bouquets of flowers and the gorgeous quilts at the foot of the beds in case it got chilly at night are lovely memories I treasure!!
The cup pulls would look great with a little aging. To me, they are too new and shiny. Love the thought to embrace the imperfection with crackle finish. Genius!❤
Bonjour Cory tu as fait de belles trouvailles, la belle lampe, le petit coffret livre me plaît beaucoup felicitation madame et merci de partager bonne semaine à vous 🤘🤘💞
And you are definitely the one to make these things beautiful!🦢 The book case looks more like a 70's.. reminds me of said furniture my older sister had in her bedroom years ago. I love the crackle effect, my daughter used it on a few pieces in her home and i really liked it. That piece turned out beautiful.. love it🤍 Love the terrarium! I love to collect old lamps, that one is actually really cute, very unique! Love what you did with it! Like you said, some things just depend on how you style them. The Mix match is even trending in clothing. I want to collect mix matched dining chairs for my dining table, i love that look❤ I think you did a great job as always, the bookcase turned out really pretty and love how you've staged it! TFS😊
Love those chicken plates. My 85 yr old mom and I started giving each other chicken decor as a joke a couple decades ago (I don’t even remember how it started) … but jokes on me because I now adore chicken decor. 😅
Almost has a touch of modern primitive country to it. Great look n very well put together. My favorite is the actual bookcase n how you revamped it. Have an amazing week.
Cory, I’ve been trying to think who you remind me of. It came to me today. A young Mary Stuart Masterson. You are too young to know who she is. Maybe some in the comments will know xxx
*@misslannie73...you are SO right...Cory DOES resemble a 20-something Mary Stuart Masterson‼️😳🤪🤣 I have been trying to think of who Cory reminded me of, too❣️ My favorite movie that Mary Stuart Masterson is in? It's "Fried Green Tomatoes" - and I noticed Cory has the same quirky smile and sense of humor Mary has - especially in the food fight scene with Mary-Louise Parker❣️🤣🤣🤣 Cory, I think you would L💚VE that movie 🎬 because Jessica Tandy, Cicely Tyson and Kathy Bates are also in it. 😉 It's a very charming story about the old South, but it doesn't hide all of the terrible injustices against blacks and women while the story is told. The parking lot scene with Kathy Bates is HILARIOUS‼️🤣🤣🤣👍🏼*
Dang. The realization that someone might be too young to not know Benny & Joon just made me feel absolutely ancient 😂😂 And I think Cory is right around my age. 😮
The lamp is a very high end piece from the 60's. I have three od them in differant colors. They are well made and give a nice traditional feel to decors. Thats a bean or chili pot.
I think everything looks great. The shelf cabinet is perfect with the crackle finish. I love the lamp and the plates are beautiful as are the books. It all ties in really well together it is my favorite. I think it has a bit of a french county farm style. I think it's great.😊
Hi, you are right about the mix of styles. Hopefully whoever sees the way it's staged will not be unmotivated to buy. If they look at the items separately, then they will be able to see it in their home depending on the style they are going for. I like your vignette. I've never been at your store, but I'm sure you have a lot of beautiful things.
You are amazing!!!❤❤ You have a wonderful eye. LOVE your shop…your prices are so reasonable after all the work you put into everything! Up here in Massachusetts, they charge double or triple your prices….!!
That bookcase is Early American. It went big in the 70's with the whole 1776-1976 thing coming up. My mother had way too much of it. The lamp is the same.
I dont know if you are native to the southwest, but we seen to mix artful, but useful, objects. Things beautiful even when not in use. Everything has possibilty. Like the West. We gather up those things we get on our journey. Next thing you know, we've got collections.
You are very brave to paint in your kitchen. I would make a huge mess. Picture flour flying all over when cooking. That would be me painting in a kitchen! 😂😂😂
Brilliant idea using the crackle on the book shelf and making a sleeve for the missing one on the lamp ❤❤❤❤ Have you ever used the paint called Beyond? I know you can get it at Lowes. It’s primer paint and top coat all in one. I haven’t just wondering if it’s as good as it says it is.
Oh yes!! Scandinavian lamp for sure❤ No for me with the crackle finish (unless frames- especially)😮 I have a solid wood bookcase-3 shelves including top that I did prob 20 yrs ago!! Gonna redo!! Not sure what right now, but something diff. Think the wood will tell me once sanded!!
I believe your lamp is from Bombay Company in the early1990s. I have a similar red buffet "candlestick" lamp from that line. I love the time painted shade.
You did a great job! Just a thought - how would some of the chicken plates looked stacked vertically - you know, like in a dish drainer, in the greenhouse/or terrarium? or maybe even put the candlesticks in there? That was brilliant to put the scrapbook paper sleeve over the electrical wiring on the lamp - it looks charming. Great makeover AND vignette! 15:43
Well done Cory!
You have discovered a new desigh style...vintage cottage '70s...i like it !!!!! Mix and match for ever😇
Thanks so much! That's perfect!
Cozy country cottage. I imagine this on a covered porch with white rocking chairs, sipping sweet tea. Lovely ❤

That's exactly it! Yes!
I love the lamp.
Isn't it cool?

Oh, yes, the butterflies are delightful. Mixing patterns is an art. It's suble and pleasing.
I agree!
They match the pattern on the lamp, but they are more “ moth. Like!” ! Oh my !
Love it!!!
Love how you brought it all together you have an eye for putting pieces together
Thank you so much!!!
I love the 70s summer camp/country home look you created. If I could, I'd have that look throughout my house. Great video! ❤
Thank you so much! It would be such a cozy home!
Love the crackle product and working with what you have. The results looks super cute after staging and personalizing it. Very cool.
Thank you so much Claire!
Definitely and farmhouse cottage style to me. I like your booth space!
I loved everything you put together with the cute bookcase. It kind of reminds me of cottage core. Lovey job.
The lamp is everything! I love the colors and the shade is perfect 👌
It's called tole.

Thank you! You too!
Love the bookshelf, the books, and the lamp❤
Almost has a touch of modern primitive country to it. Great look n very well put together. My favorite is the actual bookcase n how you revamped it. Have an amazing week.
Awesome description! Thank you!
The vignette looks very well put together.. love the lamp. It kind of looks like a reading corner at a lake house 🙂
yes! Thank you!
I would call it an eclectic mix love the lamp, not sure about the crackle glaze effect however it all came together lovely
Oh thank you! I know crackle is a very "love it or hate it" finish
I always enjoy watching you make over the things you thrift, thank you for your videos Cory ❤🥰
Glad you like them! Thank you so much
I got home just in time to hear you say, See you next time, bye! LOL will watch replay.
Hahahaha don't worry roshawnda! I hope you like today's video!
Love the style and all the pieces. I would suggest some greenery in the terrarium with a pot and figurine. God Bless you
The red lamp is an Early American design, probably from the 1960-70s. I grew up in a home decorated with this type of decor!
Vintage cottage decor....I think!?...crackle paint is a problem solver sometimes....nice arrangements....enjoyed this video ❤😊
Cory, I’ve been trying to think who you remind me of. It came to me today. A young Mary Stuart Masterson. You are too young to know who she is. Maybe some in the comments will know xxx
I looked her up! I can see the similarities
I’m so glad. She’s in my favourite movie Benny & Joon, with Johnny Depp xx
I agree!! Mary Stewart Masterson was also in fried green tomatoes, one of my favorite movies.

I like the picture and the lamp! I’m not into crackle at all but there are tons of people that love it so I think you did a great job!!
Love the piece you redid and the vignette looks wonderful.
Thank you!
The lamp is a very high end piece from the 60's. I have three od them in differant colors. They are well made and give a nice traditional feel to decors. Thats a bean or chili pot.
Thank you for the great info!
You definitely have an eye for decorating bc these are all really cool and interesting.
Love this! Did I not see you put any kind of protective finishing coat? I would think the crackle-finish would need that, no?😊
It doesn't crackle in a chippy way. It lays flat. Fusion doesn't need a top coat so I think it will be fine.
@@DesertDIY TY!
The whole vignette is awesome. What ever style, I like it.
Thank you so much! I'm so glad you like it
Good job. I would name it Country Comfort. 😊🇺🇸🙏❤🌻 Pamela
Country comfort! That is a great name!
Hi Cory! It all looks so good. Love the crackle idea, sweet look for the cabinet.
Love the styling with the chickens!
I think everything looks great. The shelf cabinet is perfect with the crackle finish. I love the lamp and the plates are beautiful as are the books. It all ties in really well together it is my favorite. I think it has a bit of a french county farm style. I think it's great.😊

Thank you! You too!

I think so too! I hope it does. So far it hasn't sold yet
Love everything in bookcase except candle sticks
Love it i think country chic
Country chic is a great name for it
Love the crackle and finished design. The ceramic pot is a microwave egg cooker. Handy little piece. Good luck selling all the pieces.
You are amazing!!!❤❤ You have a wonderful eye. LOVE your shop…your prices are so reasonable after all the work you put into everything! Up here in Massachusetts, they charge double or triple your prices….!!

I think you are an awesome decorator!!😊
You are very brave to paint in your kitchen. I would make a huge mess. Picture flour flying all over when cooking. That would be me painting in a kitchen! 😂😂😂
Love how the bookshelf turned out
I believe Mary S. M. is an actor. She was in* Fried Green Tomatoes* . It was a great movie, but have not seen her in awhile.
Love today's vignette! That lamp is awesome, and the chicken plates give it all a sophisticated look. ❤
Thanks so much! 😊 I agree
Everything looks great. 😊
I lived with that red lamp in the 1960’s.
That is the coolest lamp ever! I love the butterflies and how they are easily switched out for something new. I am also a serial decorator 🤣
Love the staging! So beautiful!
Thanks so much!
Everything looks great! I’m sure it will sell quickly.
Love the lamp, would definitely buy it.
Great job! Looks awesome.
Love the lamp. That is a vintage metal Towle lamp. You need to price it a tad higher. I have two of them. Looks amazing.❤
I love what you did with the bookshelf. I’ve totally forgot about crackle and I think I have just a piece to use it on!
Oh how exciting!
All of it...super cute! Luv luv luv the bookshelf!!!!
I love the red lamp but not sure about the butterflies. Maybe black and white to match the plates edging would have been nice.
Love the book shelf and how you styled it!
Thank you so much!
Wow. You do amazing work. I really enjoy your content. BTW I'm 2 years too late, but welcome to Texas. Love from Texas ❤️ 💗
