THANKS for the quiet video. The sound of the bike, the water...PERFECT. No need for music. No words necessary, you captured the essence of the trip perfectly.
Remember, you can do this just as well on an old 250 Enduro and Army Surplus camping gear. Don't think you have to wait until you can afford this great equipment. Back in the day on a beaten up Yamaha 175 Enduro camped everywhere.
Why doesn't TH-cam recommend something this peaceful in the feed? It recommends chaotic stuff... rather than peaceful things like this one. No music, no words, just natural sounds... So perfectly done.
Thank you for that inspirational video! Man, when you said "Great camp food" and then you pull out that freeze dried meal I thought this guy has no idea what great camp food is. Then you pulled out the real meal. Excellent campout and what a great spot!
You sure make solo camping look so easy. Years of practice I'm guessing. Learning a great deal from your videos. Much appreciated! Excellent camera views. Very cinematic. Well done, thank you for creating this for us!
Fort George is a real man’s beer! Solo m/c camping is the best and helps me get my head on straight. I love watching how other motorcyclists camp and see their equipment. One of your videos you went through my small town in Wa. Fellow vet and adv rider here and now a subscriber to your channel. Thanks!
“Escape the Noise” great title for a nice relaxing creekside camp out. Thanks for that great video. Nice to see you out enjoying your new ride. It’s a great bike for rides like that.
Hi from the UK, an awesome video so thanks for sharing and living the dream. The forests and tracks you have are just mind blowing and beautiful to watch👌
When BAM releases a solo motocamp video, it's always a good day! Thanks for bringing us along man. Your solo camp with the Avery train museum is still one of my all time favorites buddy! Gearing up for some Idaho single track now!
Wow! Great video work and cinematography!! Thanks for taking the time to produce and share. A buddy just turned me onto your channel, same bike and much of the same camp setup. Looking forward to checking out your channel, vids and following your adventures ...cheers!!!
Live in such an amazing place. Great example of why it’s just a good idea to shut up and be in the moment. Your camera angles again were on point. Well done sir 🙏🙏
Love the effort of providing viewers with multi angle shots of your journey, adventures and activites with great use of 360 camera, placed camera at locations where you would ride pass it and away, the wide aerial view from your drone as well as the engaging drone follow mode shots! Subscribed!
Good day to you! I am a grandpa rider on HONDA motorcycle from Japan. Enjoying camping ,touring and upload video. Your Camping video is so nice! Awesome! Full supported ! Have a nice day my friend!
@@backcountryadvmoto not that I'll probably ever make it over there (I'm in north central Alabama), where was that campsite? If you don't mind divulging.
This is maybe one of the best videos i saw on youtube . I love motorcycles, love cooking and love camping/survival , and you put it all in one video . Great !! Greetings from Croatia👊
have you tried rubbing some wax on the areas on the boot where the plastic pieces comes into contact with the shoe fabric? it helps reduce the squeak haha
Thanks for the great footage. We have a very similar setup except I usually prefer a hammock. My 2020GSA is also the same color, looks very different with the factory black aluminum set mine came with.
This is my FAVORITE video. Everything is so peaceful. I am doing my first backpacking trip, this gave me comfort and insight. I am excited now. Thank you.
This is why I am looking forward to my new 890r. After 11years active duty and 23 as a LEO this is what my retirement will be (I just retired). Thanks for the videos! This is my favorite by far
I must have looked at trillions of ADV bike videos, in prep for my coming trip, and not one of them bring up the matter of toilet.,.I have a garden trowel similar to your one, so good to see I am not mad, and have everything covered...
That was the best video on moto camping i have ever witnessed. at first i was thinking something else. That was excellent! just you, the sound of being out in the wild. The potty part came on just after i was thinking what if. Perfect!! just can't say enough good things. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!!
Awesome video, perfect fix after a day in the office. And thank you for not taking us along on the walk of shame (aka trowel duty), lol. Do you mind sharing where you were, or what river you're on there? Always amazed at Idaho and it's amazing rivers - you all are blessed.
Great video man, really! I wanna say thank you for the absolute genius idea of putting the Nomax tank bag as a tail bag, I did it on my Norden and I can actually use the thing now instead of just having it off the bike since I hated it so much on my tank!
@@backcountryadvmoto cigars are my travel vice...If I could make a video that encapsulates all of my favorite things about a motorcycle trip, I couldn't have done better than this video right here.
I love how your style has evolved over the years. I watched some of your older stuff a few years back & just didn't care for it all that much. Hard to put my finger on it but it was almost like you were trying too hard to be someone or something besides yourself. You've really come a long way putting out stuff like this. Thanks for all the time & effort you put into refining your craft. Subscribed. Cheers my friend!
Thanks so much for your honesty Bill. Your words and feedback mean a lot. Making videos to share with others has an interesting psychology about it. When you first start out not only are you trying to figure out what “works” both with your equipment but also what is entertaining. You are also trying to figure out the awkwardness of talking to a camera and to people you may never meet. I think the byproduct of this is that it takes time to get comfortable with just being yourself and not worry about what others are thinking of you.
I think you unknowingly followed the advice I heard a while back. When yer channel is brand new just start making videos. With some honest hard work & diligence your content quality & style will naturally evolve over time for the better. Anyway, can't wait to get into it & revisit your channel. Good stuff man.
Brother, thank you for sharing this with us. The motocamping adventure that we all strive for. Watched a few of your videos already, but this made me a follower. Now, I gotta make that happen for myself. Thanks again for the inspiration.
Love the video and the channel brother. The new bike looks BA. Would you be willing to do a video on 2A carry options while riding? It's something that I don't see much content on, but carrying into the Backcountry and remote areas is absolutely necessary. However, doing so while riding, especially off road can be a bit of a challenge in my experience. Curious if you have any insight on the topic...Cheers!
Some rivers in Montana are fly fishing only. Sometimes I carry a telescoping pole with a few rooster tails. Just depends on the area I’m riding. 👍🏻 thanks for watching.
Great video! Interesting to see we have very similar lightweight camp gear, though the brands differ a little. That said, most viewers don’t realize the huge amount of extra work that goes into such an apparently “simple” video, but I do, and it is appreciated. I have to say you left out the tick-picking footage (they are horrible in my neck of the woods this year and pretty much scuttled my last moto-camp). Thanks for sharing!
THANKS for the quiet video. The sound of the bike, the water...PERFECT. No need for music. No words necessary, you captured the essence of the trip perfectly.
Thanks. It was a fun and challenging one to make

Absolutely. You can camp off a dirt bike, “adv bike”, street bike or a moped doesn’t matter just get out and have a good time.
i was thinking the same, those roads looked great for my Rebel 500.

Awesome video! To quote Marjolein Bastin, "We give to nature with our hands, enjoy her beauty with our eyes, and discover her peace in our hearts."
Great video! Reminds me of japanese camping videos, which i love!
Really enjoyed this type of video. I need to start taking a fishing rod with me!
if i could find a spot like that(lots of black sand/gravel in that river)i would do a little metal detecting.
What a great campsite, I need that small tent lamp, very nice Vidiography and when nature calls too funny 😂 Thanks for sharing
