    Excellent as always - successfully changed my bearings and installed a new freehub. The aluminium freehub had bites in it from the cassette and a ton of nasty gunk. I had to use a 2.5 mm hex to release the lockring.

      My Campy Record also uses a 2.5mm to remove the lockring

    Thanks for the video!
    Pay attention when you order new bearings; older Zondas (pre-2018) have bearings with 15 balls and the upgraded C-17 only have 13. I believe these are not interchangeable.

      Hi, do you know number of 13 balls bearings? I can’t find it. Thx

    Thank you very much for this very informative and easy to follow tutorial! Actually working on my wheel bearings was a task which I was quite afraid of but thanks to you I think it's something I'll treat my bike more often with. 😊
    Something I was struggling with a bit was a black plastic ring which came loose and sits underneath the actual ball bearing. I think you didn't cover this in your video, for others make sure you push it well beyond the shiny metal bit where the balls sit.

    Great video, just one more thing to check at the end. Check the pawls are working prior to completing!

    Great video....but why does the center of the axle need so much grease if it's not coming into contact with anything?

    Hello there,
    I think the Campagnolo Zonda C17 wheel-set is quite an amazing upgrade option. I'd love to fit it onto my vintage hybrid bike, but the rear hub measures 135mm as opposed to the 130mm the wheel-set comes with. Do you happen to know if it's possible to adjust it, say by fitting a longer axle? The frame is Aluminium, so bending it is not an option.
    Thanks in advance!

    Question - does it matter which way round the dust shields are? When I took them off one of them was round the opposite way. Coincidentally this was the side with all the muck. I reinstalled them both round the same way as this vid.

    I have a pair of these that need the bearings replaced. Are they 5/32 in the rear and 1 1/8 in the front?

    Dear friend I got the bullets with the same system..can be replaced for solid bearings instead of cup and cone or when can I get de ceramic replacement... thanks

  • @theothervalentin
    @theothervalentin 3 ปีที่แล้ว

    the outer shell of the ceramic bearing came out when cleaning it. (not the bearing cage itself). you didnt take that part out. since it is not supposed to spin, should i put it back in without greasing the outside of it? or is it glued in?

    Can't really see in this video, but I was wondering if this alu freehub body have the usual issue where the cassette bites into it? I can't find any info regarding that issue for the Zonda C17 Shimano free-hub body...

    I am looking to change out my Rolf Echelon wheels which I think is not stiff enough in rear causing brake rub. Are these Zondas pretty stiff laterally? Is it 12 degree engagement?

    Can't believe these are cup and cone. Explains why they are so fast

    • @DerFilmgucker
      @DerFilmgucker 2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Hambini showed maintenance on Dura Ace wheels, and those are cup and cone as well. There appears to be an advantage over industrial bearings.

    I have just bought this wheelset and discovered something odd. Right side of the front wheel has a clik-click sound for every revolution. Probably from the hub. The wheel is completely true and with even spoke tension. Turning the axle by hand shows nothing but complete smoothness. The wheel is not touching anything like the brakes and so forth. Here is what is odd: When I take off the wheel and reverse it the click-click disappears???????
