I think @MattLowne the final mission for you in KSP before making the transition to KSP2 should be a SSTO that does a grand rescue tour. One Kerbal stranded on each celestial body you can land on all being recovered in a single mission. Refueling allowed of course, unless you really want to cry a lot during the mission.
This is actually something that I have been thinking about for a while now, I've even designed a craft that can do it! Just haven't got round to doing anything with it yet lol, figured I'd wait for more graphics upgrades

Once in Gilly's sphere of influence and on a collision course, you need at least 400m/s, but with eve you don't need any fuel, just some heat shields, and parachutes. Depends what you consider easy
Really really appreciate you showing more of the maneuver node fiddling and pathifinding, I find that way more interesting to watch than the actual burn, they do tend to look the same all the time. But I feel I can learn more by watching you plan maneuvers. Keep that up please.
learn docking! if you can do that, you can basically go everywhere! and it wouldn't be that difficult to setup because you can just practice in kerbin's soi
What I tend to do not add wheels to any module that isn't a full truck or trailer, just build the modules so a rover that's correctly designed can sort of slide under them and pick them up. Then again, I tend to build modules as mobile trailers or trucks anyway.
I am always in a slump on this game. I build the same dam thing...even when I try really hard to have a unique idea. I just started playing, I see you rotating pieces all which ways and connecting them. When I did this, my cockpit folded into the rest of the vehicle at the points where I clipped things to hide them. Hopefully, I'll figure out the trick by watching you.

Imagine if ksp 2 had actual interstellar flight, and then you could link your ksp1 save file to the new ksp2 and then, among other systems, visit your ksp1 kerbin system with all your vessels and kerbals etc still there - > essentilally joining the two save files

Didn't see this answered: @Matt - yes, you there is a skill bonus for engineers deploying deployable RTG's and Solar Panels; and scientists deploying deployable science experiments.
I would argue out of all the planets that have a surface you can put things on that Pol is the hardest due to it's extremely rough terrain. This might be more due to my strong personal preference of having a flat and level surface to build on.
Please, Matt, build a proper Mun/Minmus base that looks like a tall skyscraper (several tubes interconnected) at the edge of a crater with a landing platform up high. When you can't make a good landing, you can miss the platform and break below, in the depths of the crater. The skyscraper should stand on hydraulic legs. When a ground vehicle comes, it should grab it and lift it to connect.

Please, Matt, build a proper Mun/Minmus base that looks like a tall skyscraper (several tubes interconnected) at the edge of a crater with a landing platform up high. When you can't make a good landing, you can miss the platform and break below, in the depths of the crater. The skyscraper should stand on hydraulic legs. When a ground vehicle comes, it should grab it and lift it to connect.
