    The flags are propelled so violently, they are put into a quantum superposition of existence. Until observed, they both do and don't exist. However, once you switch to the craft to observe it, the wave function collapses, and it either exists or doesn't, and you see the result of that decision.

      rather that is just time dilation combined with the fact that any observation would require energy exchange, and at such speeds would result in a slowdown and instant annihilation

    A thing to note is that due to the way matter density acts in KSP, the derived KSP speed of light is 10 times slower, so you've actually achieved near speed of light with the 1000 boosters and 10 times the speed of light in the second method.

    • @samburnes9389
      @samburnes9389 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No, I don’t think so. I think physical time warp works by increasing the physics time step, not by multiplying all the forces and velocities by 4. So you would still only get 1 step in the thrust before you were ejected. It would be interesting to test though.

    • @madsphilipsen7078
      @madsphilipsen7078 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

    Interesting that at some point you said that 11000 boosters of the type you’re using would get the flag to the speed of light. At 1000 boosters that appears to be indeed at 9% of the speed of light; at using 9% of the thrust you expected to need to get the goal velocity.

    I used this data, and reconstructed one of my light cruisers. Using a mass driver weapons system, I'm getting pinpoint accuracy, to the 1x1 panel, between ANY TWO POINTS IN CISPLANETARY SPACE. Literally the only variable is aiming.
