When I launch a rescue vessel, wether it is for a contract or because of one of my blunders, I call it a Blunderbirds mission and I use the Program Manager mod so the Blunderbird goes into the brackets and has an automatically generated number with it.

Hey Matt, you should make a Duna cycler. A space station in an orbit that intercepts Duna and Kerbin. Won't save any delta v, but what it allows you to do is dock with the cycler along the journey and use it as a more spacious habitat, an interplanetary cruise ship if you will. Look up the concept its really interesting.
I mean, you could've just left them there, they looked happy, they were having a party and had a sustainable amount of supplies. But NO! you had to ruin their fun little Kerbal party and bring them home. At least you had an extra seat for snacks (or whisky, @Happy Doggo ).

You should try using the mod, "Trajectories" It's a mod that shows where you will land taking into account the planet/moon's rotation as well as any atmosphere
i accidently terminated jeb, bob, bill and val during a solar orbit mission :( i didnt know how to save them so i terminated the mission yea it says theyre missing in action

(The in game tutorial sucks, I also play on Xbox so if you could please find a tutorial on Xbox that would be fine.)

A rocket much like this became my favourite when I was a kid reading space promotional books. I can't remember whether it was meant to be a Mars orbital shuttle or an Earth suborbital vehicle. The latter would be a passenger vehicle which, by going suborbital, could get from A to B faster than Concorde. But I think the latter was a more circular vehicle. Anyway, this rocket places this video solidly amongst my favourites. :)
The bluderbirds are back, but it's a mission to Duna, AGAIN! When are we getting a mission that does NOT involve Duna or the Mun. When are you going to Eve, or Dres, or Eeloo, or Moho, or Vall, or Laythe (Maybe saving the Dragonfly), or Tylo, or Bop, or Pol! Those missions are interesting.
Probably because getting to these locations is much harder, so chances are that the player has more skill if they're getting to these locations. Duna and the Mun are just really easy destinations, making them much more likely crash sites.

I quicksaved it on the ground and tried to save them.... unsuccessful. i made a diffrent design of what matt did here, but it was just the spaceship part, with 4 boosters and refuelling, plus more fule, but less capacity for passagers, i've made a test flight with it and it works pretty well, since it got to minmus and after refuelling it had more than 3000 m/s of delta V

For the delta v being incorrect issue try putting the thrust limiter for the unused engines to zero. I think that’s worked for me.

I've made command seat rockets for getting Kerbals experience. Command seats are very efficient way to transport them.
I just watched a video that said kerbals consider 87 years fast so there for you are the best person at saving kerbals and fastest
