@@ItApproaches Tell me it wasn't on a season by Disney and it was something Lucas oversaw. Cause in those seasons they never talk about it anymore. They were also in a different dimension apparently, cause they never saw the clones that were in the same position.

Never clicked so fast on a video. Clone Wars is peak star wars for me as its what I grew up on from ages 8-15ish and then the final season coming out when I was 20
There is a Rule of Two for a reason but what’s funny is Palpatine always misused it. He knew the strength behind the rule and how every apprentice would some day inherit their masters abilities. Funnily he however never wanted anyone to become powerful enough to inherit his. Thus why he was happy Anakin lost on Mustafar so he could weaken him with that armor. And why he wanted Ventress dead. Amazing villain all he ever wants is to be the one true SITH and he would use anyone to get away with it. He wanted someone powerful to be his apprentice of course. But also someone easy to manipulate and control. Someone to be his fist while he ruled the galaxy. Someone to be his wrath.
I'm so hyped for you to see the Darth Maul episodes they are peak, crazy how Maul went from being a short lived character to easily one of the most well written in this series
For me, it all just highlights the degree to which the Jedi Order failed in their handling of Anakin and their involvement in the war. Their degradation was taken full advantage of by Sideous, yet even with that, they came so close to being properly aware of what was at play multiple times, making the unfolding tragedy all the worse.
Mother Talzin isn't Ventress's mother. Ironically enough, she DOES turn out to be Maul's biological mother. Though its only discovered in the comic book. Also the test they give the males is usually to find a mate. The females choose the strongest to continue the bloodline.
@@twincesseszeigler4366 In the Darth Maul comics. One line of comics takes place between season 6 and 7 of Clone Wars showing how he escapes Palpatine and goes after Grievous and Dooku. He captures them so he and Mother Talzin can ambush Sidious when he tries to free them. But first, Mother Talzin tries to show Dooku he's going to be betrayed by revealing to him how Maul was her child and was taken from her by Sidious for his potential, then he betrayed her and left Maul for dead.
You just know the the season’s gonna be a banger when it starts with Padme and Satine, (some of the best characters in the damn franchise) spotlighting together 🤩
The Mortis episodes are my favorite of the entire series. Every aspect of it just works for me. The Father, Son, Daughter dynamic is cool, Liam Neeson back as Qui-Gon is awesome, Anakin's development is flawless, and about a dozen other great aspects. It's just such a perfect arc.
Even after watching this 3 hour video I am not satisfied. I feel like I could watch Alex react to the entire clone wars in one sitting and still not get bored.
Its so funny how he went about Charger. "They must have expendable clones." Theres a recent video on how The Clone Wars can't do math, basically in many episodes you will see a specific number of clones in a scene, but you'll watch more clones die than are apart of the squad. They literally add random clones that weren't in a battle just to die and show stakes and even forget to add specific markings to clones and battle droids (such as the yellow markings for a battle droid commander).
The Sith rule of two...a master and an apprentice. Historically a Sith master is overthrown when their apprentice takes on an apprentice (becoming a master) and the two gang up to kill the former master. Dooku was moving Ventris from acolyte to apprentice. Also, you're going to love Ventris's story arc.
On Mortis that was indeed Qui-Gon. You know Qui-Gon was able to communicate through the Force as Yoda says at the end of Episode 3. Mortis is a special location, a planet of the Force, so Qui-Gon was able to manifest there and speak to them.
Personally, I like season 3 more than a portion of season 5, & a chunk of season 7. I still love the entire show, flaws and all. I liked season 1 & 2 fine, even if they’re the weakest absolutely.
Staying away from the Dark side is what MAKES people go to the dark side, you NEED both light and dark in you, only wanting light is what destroys you. Mace Windu uses the dark side on occasion, Dooku is literally balanced perfectly as a Jedi and as a Sith. He's goals are peace like the original Jedi were about, he uses the dark side for peace but never succumbs to the dark side. Trying to protect people from the darkness only harms them. They need to experience it and be able to resist it and find balance.
Anakin's way of teaching is actually very good. Some how Anakin's way of doing things is based on Qui-Gon's way of thinking. Qui-Gon would but heads with the Jedi Council a lot and refused to be on the council. He didn't want to just sit around all day he wanted to handle each situation individually. So I think Yoda, who really like Qui-Gon, see's Anakin as a similar type to Qui-Gon and knows that having a Jedi who doesn't just follow the rules 100% of the time is a good thing.
Mortis trilogy shows symbolically that Anakin brings balance by killing the light and dark sides. In effect he does it again in real life by killing the Jedi and the Sith. It is a crazy ark. One that George had a major hand in creating and still influences Star Wars today thanks to Dave Filoni. I believe that Anakin at death becomes what he was meant to be, the Father. There are few episodes that had George's direct hand but that one and the later Yoda ark in season six are absolutely peaks at George's ideas about the Force from a mythical and metaphysical perspective. They are incredible.
Basically the father is representing what Anakin will do. Anakin causes the Sith to kill the jedi. He then takes in the Sith and betrays them. I used to be able to explain it better.
Always love the Star Wars reactions. Im more than ok with waiting for these reactions to come out because it definitely takes an unbelievable amount of work to one, just watch these through and provide the commentary, but then also handing it over to the editor and him having wittle everything down so theres no copyright issues and to get rid of dead parts. Keep doing good work guys!
So yea there is a decent jump in time between episode 9 and 10. It's never said how big of a time jump but it has been said by some of the Voice Actors that many months have passed. People have speculated based on the character design growth and the events that take place later that it's around a 6-8 month time jump.
Correct, the season jumped ahead from near the end of the first year of the war several months into the second. The second year of the war lasts until near the end of Season 5, as the Ahsoka arc begins the final year.
Yh the time just is not really discussed by the team but ahsoka is 14 when we meet her so she probably 15 now and 16 by the end of s5 And season 7 about 17 maybe 18
Aaron the editor, please turn Alex into Darth Maul with your editing magic for the intro of season 4. You grant me this wish, and I'll mail Alex my entire gooch, unless the Hawaii import customs seize my cargo for being too "goochy goochy". EDIT: They didn't do it. Friendship over. Gooch will be mailed to Dylan and his editor now, they clearly deserve it more.
Joining the Son wouldn't result in all of what happpens, happening. He wouldn't become Vader at all. All Sith and all Jedi would be erased. Anakin would just rule the galaxy as the Dark Side is all there would be. Even Palpatine would lose lol.
2:34:14 Carbon Freezing is as the original way most planets colonized other worlds before hyperdrives were invented. Freeze people, put them in a ship, and sent them to a planet.
yeah there was a little design upgrade midway through season 3, i also think the point where they upped the animation was also the point where they upped the stories that midway s3 cut separates the show into 2 distinct halves and you'll see it, well it already started with Mortis and Ventress
Trandoshans (the lizard people) and Wookies absolutely hate each other, and their planets are relatively close to eachother as well. Trandoshans dabble in a little bit of everything, such as slavery, and they love to hunt down Wookies and sell them as slaves.
Alex doesn't seem to understand the Mortis thing. The Daughter is the LIGHT SIDE of the Force. The Son is the Dark Side of the Force. The Father is the harmony between light and dark. The Son isn't evil, he is half of the force lol. Darkness isn't evil, it's needed.
It's amazing how many reactors seem to completely miss Ahsoka's point about killing in the last two eps of season 3. She didn't say that Jedi should never kill, she said that Jedi shouldn't kill out of hatred, as that's the path to the dark side. Kalifa was trying to force choke and kill one Trandoshan out of hatred. When Ahsoka kills the father and son Trandoshan in these episodes, it's not out of hatred. There's a very clear difference.
Apparently there was a What If in a magazine that considers The Son escaping Mortis with Anakin. Some UK exclusive magazine but the gist was that Sidious sensed The Son/Anakin with a lot of power coming right to Coruscant (Anakin still knows the future) and, being fearful, essentially reveals himself to Yoda in the hopes that they could smack down Dark Side Ani... the battle also goes as youd expect, with Ani smacking down every force weilder that got in his way. The Son kept his promise of destroying the Sith and Jedi, but I dont recall what happens beyond that. Mortis was one hell of a good time.
I wanna see a what if about if the peace agreement actually went through and the attacks were stopped, what happens to Sidious' plan if the clone wars came to an early end
Wow this is a real treat.. Lots of perfect story arcs In season three.... I literally rewatched Your season two stuff like twenty times I like how you put everything on one video for that season.
Dooku isn't a piece of crap! He's a very well done character who tried to balance the universe, and got manipulated and lost what mattered most to him. Dooku will always be a goat character!
This man is so down bad for clown wars characters that if he ever watches anime on this channel I'm immedietly watching just to see how crazy he would go 😂
1:09:00 you can actually see that the pointy bits on Ashoka’s head got larger from the start of the show showing her getting older, also she’s no longer wearing a tube top
I really like the Force planet episodes. It is so nice how this explained a lot of the questions regarding the chosen one and why he turned to the dark side. At the end almost all the Jedi and Sith were gone and there wasn't an imbalance. It's also interesting that (this may be a coincidence) that Anakin turned into Vader at 22 years old and died as Vader at 45, spending half his life on the light side and the other in the dark
What I absolutely love about some of the storytelling in the clone wars is how one seemingly inconsequential episode leads directly into the grand finale of the entire show. Like that very first Mandalor episode, he asks if this is in any way important or if it’s a side story, and technically it’s a side story, but in reality this is what leads to Ahsoka coming into Mandalor and training up the Mandalorian kids, and that episode reveals all of the much deeper corruption within Mandalor, and that very same corruption is what allows Satine to be deposed and Maul to rise to power through death watch, which ultimately leads to Satine dying in Obi-Wan‘s arms and Ahsoka fighting Maul and then him ripping a Venator in half in hyperspace, which is ultimately the thing that allows Ahsoka to survive order 66. So it’s kind of a side story, but it’s so masterfully leads into the greater storyline, and you can really track where this one seemingly inconsequential branch becomes a part of the tree
Always fun to be apart of someone experiencing starwars. Glad you're enjoying the ride. Im positive you would really enjoy "fanboys", fun movie, amazing cast and cameos, fairly rediculous with a good story and just an all around fun ride based around some friends and there love for the wars. Hope you get a chance to watch it.
Fun fact…Evil Plans (episode 8) has…at least as far as I know…literally the ONLY confirmed memory wipe R2 has EVER had, and it was just of the kidnapping incident Fun fact 2…I believe it was said (but I forget by who) that if R2 spoke basic in that episode, it would be full ti the brim with swearing
The Mortis arc is one of the most important stories in all of Star Wars and without spoiling anything, comes into play later. Every little detail in those three episodes matters and there is so much meaningful symbolism. I notice new things every single rewatch.
This was genuinely a great video and superb reaction. The editing is so good that it makes you want to watch this cut instead of the full version. Sad we have to wait 3 more months, it pushes me to buy the patreon even though I'm living in a third world country.
So the mandalorian cadet Corkie doesn’t seem to have any parents and only his just his ‘auntie’ Satine so it’s a popular fan theory that Corkies mum is actually Satine and that Obi Wan is the father unbeknownst to him from when he and the Satine were on the run together when they were younger 👀

@@ItApproaches Tell me it wasn't on a season by Disney and it was something Lucas oversaw. Cause in those seasons they never talk about it anymore. They were also in a different dimension apparently, cause they never saw the clones that were in the same position.
@@abadalfa Disney's Clone Wars is canon, and there's nothing wrong with them. Disney may suck and have ruined a lot but the animated stuff is still great. Take the stick out of your ass. The Force has many mysteries to it. If you don't want knew stuff ever again, then lock yourself into the old stuff and stay there for the rest of your days.
Alex I have religiously watched your vids ever since I found your channel, I struggle with depression and haven't been able to work for 9 months due to my health but getting to vicariously live through you as you watch my favorite fandoms has been a true source of joy! We need LOTR asap!
Never clicked so fast on a video. Clone Wars is peak star wars for me as its what I grew up on from ages 8-15ish and then the final season coming out when I was 20
'Peak Star Wars'? I could not agree more. The Clone Wars was an incredible series and the final season was a great finish.
Besides the sisters we don’t speak of
Who else was waiting for season 3 🤩
And it’s on a Friday 🥹🥹
I used to pray for times like this 🙏
Me
Was literally just thinking i wonder when the next one would be earlier in the day before it was posted
Nightsister time
There is a Rule of Two for a reason but what’s funny is Palpatine always misused it.
Great catch on the "willingly" bit from Anakin. So important.
I'm so hyped for you to see the Darth Maul episodes they are peak, crazy how Maul went from being a short lived character to easily one of the most well written in this series
Alex being into the nightsisters is entirely on brand lmao
For me, it all just highlights the degree to which the Jedi Order failed in their handling of Anakin and their involvement in the war.
Their degradation was taken full advantage of by Sideous, yet even with that, they came so close to being properly aware of what was at play multiple times, making the unfolding tragedy all the worse.
Mother Talzin isn't Ventress's mother. Ironically enough, she DOES turn out to be Maul's biological mother. Though its only discovered in the comic book.
Also the test they give the males is usually to find a mate. The females choose the strongest to continue the bloodline.
When did you find out that talzin is maul's mother?
Quinlan Vosa is basically Keanu Reeves from Point Break as a Jedi.
"Well, that's your opinion, man." - Quinlan Voss
Quinlan definitely exhibits characteristics of "The Dude", Jeffrey Lebowski. 😉
Did I watch all 3 hours of this? Yes. Do I regret any of it? No. Hotel? Trivago.
My jaw dropped when I saw how long this video was
Even after watching this 3 hour video I am not satisfied.
That video is by his editor btw
@@Darthloll oh real shit it is
The Sith rule of two...a master and an apprentice. Historically a Sith master is overthrown when their apprentice takes on an apprentice (becoming a master) and the two gang up to kill the former master. Dooku was moving Ventris from acolyte to apprentice. Also, you're going to love Ventris's story arc.
A true sign that a youtuber is great is when there's a 3-hour video and we get excited about it
On Mortis that was indeed Qui-Gon. You know Qui-Gon was able to communicate through the Force as Yoda says at the end of Episode 3. Mortis is a special location, a planet of the Force, so Qui-Gon was able to manifest there and speak to them.
I literally cheered out loud when I saw this video in my recommended. I have been waiting months, Alex, MONTHS!
Same. He needs to do clone wars more often. It’s his best content
Sam Witwer constantly impresses. I forgot he was the Son until he yelled, cause he is SO good! Play The Force Unleashed, in other words
This is already peak, and just a reminder, this is still probably the 3rd worst season imo
This is better than S6 imo
Personally, I like season 3 more than a portion of season 5, & a chunk of season 7.
I still love the entire show, flaws and all. I liked season 1 & 2 fine, even if they’re the weakest absolutely.
@@jesusa.adorno6933 agreed. Season 3-4 is my bread and butter. Of course season 5 episode 1 is nice too
Honestly, for me, worst to best just goes in sequential order
It's the best after 5 and 7.
That's like saying to someone you need to do heroin in a controlled manner.
The word you're looking for with Ventress is "Scaroused"
The clone troopers at 1:54:04 are the commando clones from Star Wars Republic Commando game
The Mortis Arc is absolutely amazing 💯🔥
I love when the narrator plays like 200 characters. 😂 iconic. Now that I think about it. There are only like 10 voice actors in this show anyway.
Dee Bradley Baker voices over 200,000 characters sooooo
@ he hopefully made a good payday lmao.
Yh the time just is not really discussed by the team but ahsoka is 14 when we meet her so she probably 15 now and 16 by the end of s5
And season 7 about 17 maybe 18
@@millieboon By the time of the venator crash she is 18 confirmed by Ashley
@@millieboon Yup, that's about right, she's confirmed as 17 during the Siege of Mandalore.
Love the Clone at 55:49 "Oh my god" with Zyro complaining lol.
😂
Joining the Son wouldn't result in all of what happpens, happening. He wouldn't become Vader at all. All Sith and all Jedi would be erased. Anakin would just rule the galaxy as the Dark Side is all there would be. Even Palpatine would lose lol.
No fricking way!!!! The time has come!!!
3HOURS OF CLONE WARS??!! Ho-ly shiiiiiit 🤩🤩🤩
2:34:14 Carbon Freezing is as the original way most planets colonized other worlds before hyperdrives were invented. Freeze people, put them in a ship, and sent them to a planet.
I like the R2 and 3PO fruit episode for the most part, but I dislike R2s characterization
45:54 EXACTLY
yeah there was a little design upgrade midway through season 3, i also think the point where they upped the animation was also the point where they upped the stories
that midway s3 cut separates the show into 2 distinct halves and you'll see it, well it already started with Mortis and Ventress
3 hours? Hell yeah!!
Mortis Arc is one of my top 3 arc in the whole damn Clone Wars show! It's SO DAMN GOOD!
Yes! Star Wars The Clone Wars is back!
couldn't wait for alex to get to the whole nighsisters point of the show. it's soooo good
FINALLY MORE CLONE WARS! LETS GOOOO!!! 🗣️
Wow this is a real treat.. Lots of perfect story arcs In season three.... I literally rewatched Your season two stuff like twenty times I like how you put everything on one video for that season.
Its so satisfying seeing Alex finally start connect so much of this lore in the clone wars to the movies
LOL, Helen Keller riding a mechanical bull....ahhh we come here for the creative insults.
Dooku isn't a piece of crap! He's a very well done character who tried to balance the universe, and got manipulated and lost what mattered most to him. Dooku will always be a goat character!
One of the very best in the franchise.
@@crownprincesebastianjohano7069 Yup.
Mortis arc reflects how he brought balance in the end. First he killed the light side, then he killed the dark side....bringing balance
This man is so down bad for clown wars characters that if he ever watches anime on this channel I'm immedietly watching just to see how crazy he would go 😂
Imagine him watching the seven deadly sins
1:09:00 you can actually see that the pointy bits on Ashoka’s head got larger from the start of the show showing her getting older, also she’s no longer wearing a tube top
Yes, watch the way of water!
I'm genuinely stoked for him to watch season 7, its exquisite
1:54:00 DELTA SQUAD BABYYYYY!!!!!
I was wondering when the next reaction(s) was going to release, you guys are taking these batch drops seriously! An entire season is insane lol
Dude, so enjoyed rewatching these. Ahsoka has incredible character growth across the remaining seasons.
when you watch rebels you'll add a few favorite characters to your list.
when this popped up in my notifications and i saw the title AND thumbnail i was like "how many videos did i miss!?" lol
You might wanna add a spoiler alert to your comment lmao
Always fun to be apart of someone experiencing starwars. Glad you're enjoying the ride. Im positive you would really enjoy "fanboys", fun movie, amazing cast and cameos, fairly rediculous with a good story and just an all around fun ride based around some friends and there love for the wars. Hope you get a chance to watch it.
Fun fact…Evil Plans (episode 8) has…at least as far as I know…literally the ONLY confirmed memory wipe R2 has EVER had, and it was just of the kidnapping incident
Fun fact 2…I believe it was said (but I forget by who) that if R2 spoke basic in that episode, it would be full ti the brim with swearing
The Mortis arc is one of the most important stories in all of Star Wars and without spoiling anything, comes into play later. Every little detail in those three episodes matters and there is so much meaningful symbolism. I notice new things every single rewatch.
Man Count Dooku is actually sick af.
Like hes so powerful that despite JUST waking up and being drugged, he still kicked all their asses.
How tf would he just accept that he has a mother and a father that literally don't exist anywhere except the Dutchess' word of mouth?
I can’t wait for season 4 dude. This is so cool
3 hours on a friday? I guess I wont be doing anything today
