    This are actually the only tshirts on TH-cam that look like a real galaxy. I’ve been watching videos the whole morning and they all look pretty bad. Thank you for this tutorial!

    Thanks for the video, it really is the best galaxy tie dyed video I’ve seen. There were 2 of your steps that made my t-shirts a success: 1) not leaving any white while dyeing and 2) not leaving the bleach on too long. As a matter of fact, immediately after applying the dye, I opened up the t-shirts to make sure there were no white spots. If there were, I hit them with black dye and tied them back together with the rubber bands. The other thing I did was to add bleach to a spray bottle, spray the back first, then spray some in certain spots on the front. I then quickly got the toothbrush and continued with doing your method and even splashed the toothbrush across in a couple of spots to create milky ways. It is important to also rinse the bleach off with running water because if you soak them in water to rinse it is with bleachy water that will lighten the colors overall. My t-shirts came out awesome and looking like a galaxy with stars, nebulas and milky ways on each of the 3 I did.

    Can you wash multiple shirts together, or do they need to be washed individually?

    • @jacquardproducts
      @jacquardproducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      After the first wash, Jacquard Procion MX dyes will never bleed and can be washed normally with other colored fabrics.

      @@jacquardproducts what about the wash after you add the bleach stars? Can all of the newly made shirts do that final wash together, or do they need to be washed one at a time after adding the bleach stars?

    Is the soda absolutely necessary??

    • @jacquardproducts
      @jacquardproducts  2 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, the soda ash is critical for making the Procion MX dyes permanent and washable

    Doea it work on silk/satin fabric?

    • @jacquardproducts
      @jacquardproducts  หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Procion MX dyes work best on cotton fabrics. They do work on silks, but the colors will be slightly muted. Acid Dyes are generally the better option for silks.

    • @destinygarcia8993
      @destinygarcia8993 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Dried because you need to wash the shirt quickly after applying the bleach and you don't want to wash it until the dye has set in :)
