I am a mom of a T1D son. The rollercoaster of emotions that comes along with a diagnosis is insane. My son was diagnosed in 2015, he is now 21 and getting ready to graduate college next May. He is also coming up on his 10-year diaversary.
If you want to avoid elevated blood glucose and the diabetic complications, then low carb is for you. Carbohydrate cannot be reliably covered with injected insulin - it has nothing to do with nutrition, this is simply about the kinetic of injected insulin. 'Balanced' meals will lead to high and unpredictable blood sugars. There's no 'figuring it out'...there's simply running high and pretending that high blood sugars are normal. This is a very low IQ discussion of how diabetes works and the word 'balanced' is a clue that there is government food pyramid nutritional indoctrination.

It really is! Happy diaversary to your son!!! 🎉
Abandonar el protocolo del doctor Berstein para mi es una locura , pero al que le vaya bien pues felicidades solo que habría que verlo con el tiempo
