I smiled when Muharam said he recognised Aurora's voice instantly in your car, because the same happened to me when I first watched the movie Wolfwalkers - her voice is so unique, it was a nice surprise to hear! Also I have to say I love the new set, and you being in the shot :D I also enjoy the longer discussions and analysis, with you just talking or going off-topic a bit, it's very nice and it brings a lot to the video! Lots of love!
These reactions are so special. I know just how the gentleman who recognized Aurora's voice - she leaves you with a warm feeling every time. It would be so cool to have them watch her perform her song "Through the Eyes of a Child". There are 2 performances, one at the Cathedral in Norway (Nidarosdomen) with an orchestra and choir, and another which is just her with her band members singing without any instruments at all (Vevo UK LIFT). Both are amazing!
Abdul said it best "Love is like a weak string, If you pull it abruptly it will break, But slow and steady it will succeed" !! Wow , and well done on a great cover song reaction video 🙌 Thanks Triple j for that and much more, ps ,,,,, Have a look at the Australian band called Rufus Du Sol ,,,,, the boys won't know what hit them 👍👍
I love this! Trip hop is an excellent genre to explore. Portishead, Tricky, and Massive Attack were some of my fav trip hop bands back when I was in college. First time hearing Aurora cover this and she does a beautiful job with it. Nice vid, friends!
I love internet! I could watch pakistan people talking about Aurora covering one of the biggest, influent and perfect bands of all time: MASSIVE ATTACK! I love Trip Hop!!!
stopp you guys are the cutest for exposing Aurora to them! ❤️ they’re just like her she’s just like them ❤️ so connected to the mother nature and so grounded
I saw a comment on another video saying that Aurora is like the light fairy and Billie Eilish is the dark fairy. It might be interesting for your commenters to react to her. That is quite a large subject to cover and any one of over twenty songs from Billie would be equally interesting to discuss. Both artists greatly admire each other.
Would love to see them experience more Aurora, in particular the music video she did for her songs Running With the Wolves, Cure For Me, and Apple Tree ❤️
Unfortunately, Cure For Me would probably be too offensive for them as it is about both her bisexuality and gay conversion therapy. While Pakistan is ahead of most countries in trans acceptance and trans rights (trans people have been recognized in South Asia for thousands of years, the history is very cool).. Gay/bi people don't have rights and discrimination/homophobia is very common. Conversion therapy is also utilized there. There are pockets of allies for gay and bi ppl in the big cities but it's non existent in the rural, more traditional tribal areas.
i would like to wish you gentlemen well for 2023. We are about to celebrate Christmas. I wish you and your families well for whatever you celebrate at this time. I haven't heard of Aurora before and can see she has a wonderful voice.
When one man on the right side of the video was asked to give his interpretation of the beat he likened it to cats exploring something alien to them. That was a very interesting and unique interpretation. Such is art in the eye of the beholder. There's no right or wrong answer with one's interpretation.
That comment/interpretation of the beat being like a cat when it checks out something new is fascinating. Another great video and as a huge Aurora fan it makes me happy to see her in another video!
It really moves me how Aurora is able to touch us all humans regardles of our cultural backgrounds and particularities, the way she impacts us is amazing, she is so beautiful. I've heard this song so many times, Massive Attack brought this song to me years ago, and then Aurora came, with this version whixch I love and then the Verftet concert version playing the grand piano and the octopus lurking behind her. It was amazing reading what the WiseMan said, his understanding of things is impacting, Aurora's Love and Magic has long arms and reaches far, she is a unique and special artist and the most talented and adorable creature breathing and walking in this planet!!!!!
Wonderful video as always! The new set looks amazing and I really enjoyed the comment about love being a thread. It reminds me of the red string of fate. Thank you for everything and lots of love from our family to yours ❤️❤️❤️
I like this song and I've liked Aurora the few times I've come across her the past few years. This is the first time I've heard her sing this song. Thank you so much for bringing something new and wonderful to me.
I like when you put the names up there in these new videos. I have a bad memory of names that are outlandish for me so now I can always see the names. ☺️ Thank you. And a nice video again.
I really like this channel and the insight from the elders you are speaking with, I love hearing the sayings, metaphors and proverbs from other cultures, even if they don't always translate well. And hearing these opinions of love described in a different tongue with different imagery, like love being a weak string you cannot pull abruptly, thay was a really nice one, and mother being a synonym for heaven, it's like a thought you have but did not know the words for it, and someone says it and you go 'yes that is what I feel top, you said it well'.
You've gotta do something on Liz Fraser. The vocalist Massive Attack hired to sing on this song. Her band Cocteau Twins are so relaxing but also psychedelic. Sometimes she never sang lyrics, she just sang emotions.
The way you describe it and give it meaning... it makes it even deeper than I even knew and I've known this song since I was young. Listened to the original when I was growing up. You have quite a way of explaining. I appreciate it so much. And such beautiful people you have on your show! I love their insight and opinions.
Interesting story , While Elizabeth Fraser was first recording this with Massive Attack she learned that the singer/songwriter/artist Jeff Buckley (who Elizabeth had fallen in love with - and it was a big love in her life because she had been in a rather unhappy marriage with a member in her band Cocteau Twins and so falling in love with a better man was exciting and deep- but VERY new) anyway, while recording this she learned that her new love Jeff Buckley had drowned while in the U.S.- either touring or recording - I don’t recall). SO , she said that she began to sing it with Buckley very much in mind.
I really love how different people can get different meanings from the same song. Aurora's voice is amazing. She's the female version of Maynard James Keenan for me. Just amazing range.
I love all the guests but I am always blown away by the wisdom of Abdul. While you're expanding their minds showing them all kinds of stuff from around the world, their thoughts and perspectives are expanding my mind as a viewer as well.
Lovely too see another touches of my soulhealer. I think the two gentlemen would love Aurora - A potion for love - Vevo live . There are so much to talk about.
Love, love is a verb Love is a doing word Fearless on my breath Gentle impulsion Shakes me, makes me lighter Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my breath Night, night of matter Black flowers blossom Fearless on my breath Black flowers blossom Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my Water is my eye Most faithful mirror Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Of a confession Fearless on my breath Most faithful mirror Fearless on my breath Teardrop on the fire Fearless on my breath You're stumbling in the dark You're stumbling in the dark
Wow, I've always loved Massive Attack and truly felt this song on a soul level when it came out. Her voice really takes it to another level. Yeah, to me, this song has always been about self-loathing. Feeling the regret and loss after fearlessly running off at the mouth towards someone you love and care about. Seeing yourself honestly, reliably, in the mirror of your tears after behaving in a brash and rather unloving manner. Also, it's a keen example of the depths of pain of mental illness and impulsive behavior disorders.
A great cover to a song with possibly the most simple and yet important message that stays lost to the majority. 💔 Where do we find the video of Abdul playing with the cat? It's time to show Muharam the talents of 'Damat Drummer'. Peace/JT
I would love to see them react to Aurora's "It Happened Quiet (Live at the Current)". It's such a soothing, ethereal yet deep song, particularly that live version.
To the man in the white turban: As I see more of you I respect your wisdom more. Some things you’ve said before I’ve questioned but I’ve forgotten so they couldn’t have been too important. Would you please consider one of my beliefs? A common thought among many religions is “Thou shalt have no other gods before me.” He didn’t say “beside me” like there might be others in the universe who are friends. Also He didn’t exclude a Goddess. I believe that if a male spiritual power influences our lives there is a balancing female power. Aurora dedicated the song “Heathens” at Rough Trades East in London to “the Mother who takes care of the people who aren’t welcome in heaven.” That’s very comforting
Such a lovely song, very good choice to analyze. Love Like a Version. Listening to how an artist chooses to cover a song they love from someone else can reveal so much. I haven't kept up with it recently but back when I was a university student working part time as a cleaner (2008-2012) I would listen to it every week as it got played on the radio here in Australia at the same time in the early morning every week as I was cleaning the local library. Seeing Like a Version make an appearance also makes me hope that one day we get to see you do a video on Denzel Curry's cover of Bulls on Parade (original artists Rage Against the Machine) that he did there.
Wow!. This reaction shows the importance of diversity. The entire perspective brought by these gentlemen is completely fascinating and entirely different. Then, one of them admitting that makes him happy just to look at Aurora. It’s amazing.
Abdul is right, as he so often is, when he said that love requires patience. I feel that so many forget that when the high of a new relationship comes down. Also, I really love those chairs and table. Wish I could have one ;)
I do love to see their thoughts on topics that everyone can find meaning in, such as dancing and music, i wonder if you could show them paintings and art or sculpture and architecture or natural wonders of the world to see what they'd think of those things too
Love your channel for many reasons and I never try to discover music via reaction videos, however know and love"Teardrop" yet had never encountered Aurora. This is a stunning cover. As a lover of female vocalists, I would kindly recommend anything from the first ~half of The Cardigans "Gran Turismo" 1999 album💯
I am always happy to see the reactions to different types and styles of music here on this channel, and as a long-time Aurora fan (one of her proud Warriors & Weirdos), I have a number of favorite music videos and live performances to recommend for Muharum's viewing as either reactions here or for his own pleasure if he has access to Aurora's TH-cam channel... some will make him want to dance along with her, some will sooth him, some will make him hopeful, and others will bring tears to his eyes. 9:23 I can discern "Maria" (a normal name in Norway for some hundred years or more) clearly, then after that sounds like a "kulning" or cattle call (traditional in Norwegian and Swedish cultures in particular). She often use those effects in her music. I'm Norwegian, mother is "mor" (more "official") or "mamma" (as a child would say it) or "moder" which is closer to the roots of the word "mother" in English. Don't take my word for any of this, except that I personally did not hear her say "mother" in English or Norwegian:) Edit: "Jomfru Maria" is Virgin Mary (that bore Jesus according to the bible), however I don't think she's religious. Maybe it's a name of someone important to her? That would be my guess, that it's an on-the-spot improvisation and she thought of another person.
That was truly brilliant. Respect to all involved 👍 It brought tears of happiness to my eyes. I think you will like 'Ed Sheeran & Aitch - My G'. It's a beautiful, uplifting dedication to Aitch's sister who was born with Downs Syndrome. Aitch mentions the 21st (being the 21st of November this year) as a charity day when people wear odd socks and donate to charities who work with and for children who are the victims of bullying because of their disabilities or differences. Please react to it 🙏
ABDULAZIZ RIND: Please tell me that you accept my apologies for any offense I may have done. And accept my increasing respect for you. Have I told you about her as a little girl in Norway where she spent a lot of time alone in the forest with the animals day and night? Maybe I have but I’ll say some more and I hope you’ll pardon me if I repeat myself. She was terrified of performing at first but wanted to share her thoughts. Can we encourage her dedication of her song Heathens at Rough Trade East, London to “ . . . the Mother who takes care of the people who aren’t welcome in heaven. The commandment “ . . . no other gods before me.” didn’t exclude others beside me. I like the thought that God has friends in the universe. Also Goddesses. It would get lonely otherwise. Peace.
I don't know if they understand English. But that is the beauty of music. It can resonate with anyone from all walks of life. We don't need to speak the same language to know what the feeling of the song gives us. That is one thing everyone in the world has in common. Music.
The name of the musical rhythmic instrument box is cajon. It has been invented in Peru in the 18th century. Due to its relative simplicity and wood being available almost everywhere, even a debutant carpenter helped by an experimented drummer can built it in a day. If you're going into this kind of relax and soothing musical territory, I recommend you "Sandcastles" by Bomb the Bass, : th-cam.com/video/GqJdY9GOnSY/w-d-xo.html and the acoustic version of BTB "Winter in July" by Loretta Heywood : th-cam.com/video/V31AfQRKH_c/w-d-xo.html
@@TRYBALS Fantastic! I'm watching the video about it right now since TH-cam didn't give me any notification about your response. Happy new year from France.
Very good choice. As much as I like Massive Attack, and how Elizabeth Fraser is my all-time favorite singer, this is by far the best cover I have ever heard, of anything by anyone. Hate to say it but I think it may even be better than the original (just don't tell Liz I said it).
If you're sticking with the theme of music, I would like to suggest a reaction to Raag megh malhar & Raag Deepak [or different national anthems]. However if you're open to other stuff, I think they would enjoy trying video games [with an emulator or mobile device]. If you include a good variety, like a racing game, a puzzle game, etc they'll probably find one they like.
You guys should have them react to Jeff Buckley's cover of Ye Jo Halka Halka Suroor Hai! I would love to hear what they think of an American honouring Qawwali music.

Billy E started with music because of Aurora. Billy heard a song from Aurora when she was 12 and something just switched she has said.
In the question "what is music", I had heard years back "music is the expression of life within us". I always liked that idea.
Organized sound
The question of "What is music?" can lead to an interesting discussion.
For me, Music is what emotions sound like.
I absolutely love that you let them listen to Aurora, she is a tru gem in the music industry. 🤗🤗🤗🤗
These are my two favourite Trybals. Abdul is full of wisdom, and Muharam is full of enthusiasm. Thank you for bringing them to us.
Listening to wise people makes me free from all the troubles of the day. Thank you so much.

Peace.
Omg the beat reminds him of cats exploring something alien to them!!! 🥰
I don't know if they understand English. But that is the beauty of music. It can resonate with anyone from all walks of life. We don't need to speak the same language to know what the feeling of the song gives us. That is one thing everyone in the world has in common. Music.
🤣🤣"It reminds me of cats exploring something alien to them".🤣🤣 I'm done
Exist for love... Aurora...
Love.
„Mother is another synonym for heaven“ - I hope my children agree… 🥹
Aurora is the queen
Thank you for watching AURORA! No subtitles?ove the new look
Aurora is great! I think lucky and through the eyes of a child (both live at nidarosdomen) would be a good fit for them too
The name of the musical rhythmic instrument box is cajon. It has been invented in Peru in the 18th century. Due to its relative simplicity and wood being available almost everywhere, even a debutant carpenter helped by an experimented drummer can built it in a day.
If you're going into this kind of relax and soothing musical territory, I recommend you "Sandcastles" by Bomb the Bass, :

and the acoustic version of BTB "Winter in July" by Loretta Heywood :

I've bought a Cajon for them to try.
May I suggest, The seed? Here she sing about taking care of nature.
Oh. From Sindh. So it is Urdu. I am sorry for your losses and problems lately. I hope you are doing better now.
That cat thing was brilliant.
The Number Of songs I wanna request is Huge. Do you have a submission box or something
If life begins with darkness, and ends with darkness, I personally think the light is an opportunity, not a distraction
I would rather havenseen their reaction to the original version by massive attack and the awesome video that came with it.
You could listen to Slow Down by Sissel. It is a song about how god can help you if you just listen
I don’t know this song. It will be a surprise for me too.
Bob Ross etc lol ha this shows we share so much west and east ❤
You guys should react to Björks music. She highly inspired Auroras sound :)
You should react to Aurora through the eyes of a child live version!!!!!
❤
My I ask you Sirs were you are from, what language you speak, and why you are interested in Norwegian music? I think that is fantastic!
You guys should have them react to Jeff Buckley's cover of Ye Jo Halka Halka Suroor Hai! I would love to hear what they think of an American honouring Qawwali music.
