Even though this is not their kind of music they try to understand the meaning of the song and give a honest opinion . Very honest people with good hearts .
I hope the guys from Metallica see this. I know they would be honored by these gentlemen's reactions. Music spans the oceans and the skies, there is no such thing as a language barrier with music.
Here I am in the United States, in Maine, sitting in my chair by myself, jamming out to fu(king METALLICA with 3 older men - Arabic/Muslims from Iran/Pakistan. We are all connected to the music in the same exact way. This is something I could have never imagined would happen growing up in the 90's and listened to Metallica all the time. God bless.
No matter the culture, this song transcends all that and just connects with everyone who hears it. Even Sir Elton John himself considers this song to be, in his own words, "The greatest song ever written." And when James Hetfield heard that, he was in tears. Good ones.
I don't know if I've ever heard Abdul give a more glowing opinion of a song before. Usually he's stoic and I can see in his eyes that he likes something, but this time he showed how much he liked it with his whole body. Also, it's amazing to see that music can make someone so emotional that they almost cry. You held it together well, Mashoque.
That's called wisdom. EQ is not a thing. It's not quantifiable. The only actual interpretation of _emotional intelligence_ would be being able to regulate your emotion. And the closest thing to that would be called stoicism. Knowing how to control your emotions and use them to stay and be productive.
No matter their reaction to Metallica and our culture, it is a humbling experience. Love, appreciation, and personal perspectives show me, and I hope the world, that humanity is more one together than selfish. Thank you all!
I certainly enjoy hearing other people's perspective elsewhere in the world on music, based on their experiences, etc. It is refreshing, and thoughtful. I wish it were possible to even talk with the reactors about life in general and learn from their experiences. I can tell that each one has a story to tell. I look forward to more videos.
I always come back to this channel now and then. I am always shocked by the amount these lovely human beings connnect me to my humanity with their warmth and honest connectedness. I was particularly touched in this one by Mashoques reaction and obvious emotional connection with the song and lyrics. you can literally see at one point where Mashoque connects so well with the song that by his physical reaction that he has interanlised the message and is thinking of how this relates to his life. Thankyou Mashoque for your human-ness. Thankyou for being a real one. Much Love to you all and Metalicca.
It is so lovely and rare to see people so uncorrupted by social media and other degenerating influences. He says as he watches on youtube....... Love these guys.
To this day, it's one of their slowest songs and still one of their most powerful. So widely loved by the fans. 32 years, and it makes the top of a lot of fans' favorites lists. And to think, we almost never got it.
This song is just a masterpiece. James has always wrote lyrics in a way that are very personal to him yet vague enough for the listener to interpret them in their own way for themselves. It could be about family, friends, fans, love or religion. It’s just beautiful music.
I love this. To see them actually be open enough to enjoy Metallica, of all bands from America, this shows their true openness. It's funny how even our parents were afraid of this band back in the early 80s. Lol. I'm not kidding that this channel completely buried some seriously wrong ideas in my heart. Bias. Prejudice. If there's one good thing social media did for me, it was to erase a lot of ignorance from my heart and world. So grateful that I don't carry that anymore. Thank you to the channel and everyone involved. God bless you all.
I really enjoy these reviews, these men find so much more, than the average fan, in each song they listen to. I love hearing their interpretations & they are teaching me how to truly appreciate the music I listen to. Blessings & love to you all, from Australia ❤❤❤
I’ve only just discovered this channel after the review of the Pentatonix cover of Hallelujah came up in my recommended. There is something so uniquely special to see people being open to something such as music that they would not otherwise listen to and to hear and see their genuine reactions and thoughts is wonderful! Many would be quick to turn it off because it’s not their style but to see them go deeper than the surface and discuss the meaning of the lyrics, of what they are seeing in the video and appreciating the music for what it is, is an absolute joy.
I just love these guys! Their thinking is so much deeper than the average American. Like wise old sages, they say exactly what's in their hearts and then add that the rest of the world would benefit from love. Thanks so much for sharing.

As a generally slow song with a pay off, it would also be interesting to see their reaction to more extreme metal forms that do the opposite, whilst having a lot of meaning - for example, When A Demon Defiles A Witch by Whitechapel - a very heavy song with an acoustic section, all about how the singer's mother dealt with Multiple Personality Disorder
He was talking about not being educated and being simple people and how that somehow limits their ideas and interpretations. There are many ways that a higher education can interfere with someone's own thoughts, ideas, and interpretations. I guess what I'm saying is that sometimes a higher education impedes those abilities and that those abilities are sometimes far more valuable than higher education. With universities and colleges nowadays, they interject a lot of political and social commentary into education. To me, that undermines the point of education, which is being able to think critically with logic and reason. So these guys didn't miss out on anything, and you can tell them I said so
100% true. Intelligence is not determined by the level of education. The educational system is not designed for you to have your own opinion, but to repeat the opinions of others. In fact, with more formal education, one tends to lose their ‘freshness’. That’s why we love seeing these people’s reactions. They’re still pure.
@@HaviMargallo indeed. I double majored in psychology and sociology but that was back in the 90s. There wasn't a lot of social commentary being injected into my education. @@streghewitch77 Yeah. In my country, the humanities faculties have also become extremely political. Instead of students and teachers, we now have “social activists". Ironically, the so-called “free thinkers” are often the most dogmatic. Sadly, the state of the educational system is deplorable. A complete restructuring is needed.
@@HaviMargallo Agreed. Though this is nothing new. I was in college in the late 90s, early 2000s, and it was just as bad then. I had a professor teaching 13th Century English Literature. That's important, thirteenth century, England. She starts the class by saying "This is going to be like no class you've ever had, because we'll be exploring the ties between the course material and the social issues facing women and minorities at the time"... Again, 13th Century England. Women weren't often written about because they spent all their time doing laundry in the river (which seriously takes days at a time), and the ethnic minorities were the fucking Welsh, lol. The mental gymnastics to shoehorn that in were just mind-boggling. I also attended public schools for most of my schooling. State funded. When we read George Orwell's "1984", they had ordered copies of the book for the class that were unironically redacted to remove any questionable words or concepts not befitting the classroom. I had already read that book by 7th grade, so the irony was not lost on me, but the teacher didn't find the humor in it as I did, lol. There are some great teachers out there. I had a few who were fantastic at their jobs. But Academia as a whole is just nuttier than squirrel shit.
An interesting follow-up to this would be to show a Megadeth song, maybe "Trust". You could discuss the flip side, where Dave felt betrayed by Metallica, and his music was fuelled by resentment and a desire to beat Metallica after they abandoned him.
I'm Canadian and i certainly understand the cultural differences and it is very important to respect each other. I don't want to visit a country that beheads tourists like they hate freedom there must be a middle ground somewhere?
Even though this is not their kind of music they try to understand the meaning of the song and give a honest opinion . Very honest people with good hearts .

@@Arkryal Re-writing Orwell to remove "questionable concepts" it's one of the most orwellian things I've ever heard. Crazy.
Muharam feels music in his soul
Have they heard no leaf clover by Metallica? You guys should give it a listen.
Your should do a Roxette reaction, all an icon of the 80's an 90's. I like your videos.
🤘
These music videos must be alien to these people.
James said this was the first time he sang rather than "yelling in key."
Metallica achieved a new Guinness World Records title after becoming the first musical act to play a concert on all seven of Earth's continents.2013
Had mentioned that when they listened to Metallica for the first time in 2021 😊
Top!
Do Fade To Black please.
Sure, I'll try my bests.
11:17 🤘
An interesting follow-up to this would be to show a Megadeth song, maybe "Trust". You could discuss the flip side, where Dave felt betrayed by Metallica, and his music was fuelled by resentment and a desire to beat Metallica after they abandoned him.
I'd like to suggest some women rock n rollers like Joan Jett, Heart, Janis Joplin, Pat Benatar, Kathleen Hanna, or Sleater Kinney.
Muku is such a cute nickname for Mukhtiar! Is it a standard shortening, or just a kind of pet name between them?
Metallica formed in 1981
I’m sure they will like Ayreon - the day that the world brakes down, the official video, not the live version.
I love you ❤
I'm Canadian and i certainly understand the cultural differences and it is very important to respect each other. I don't want to visit a country that beheads tourists like they hate freedom there must be a middle ground somewhere?
