      It happens when selfish people don't take their relationships seriously enough and have no respect for their husbands/wives.
      They get "bored" of the current partner like a kid gets bored of a toy, but don't want to end the relationship to start a new one, disappoint themselves and end up alone, so they keep the original relationship to always be able to "go back" to it.

      The book "101 Ways to not get caught cheating" should be one page long with this sentence: Don't cheat!
      If you don't cheat, you will never have to come up with ways to hide it.
      IF, however, you have the need to cheat - get a divorce, then have as many sluts or chads you want. Seriously, just don't cheat. I have never understood that behavior... be it during a marriage, an engagement or even a "going steady" relationship.
      Yeah, I'm that old... I use "going steady" instead of "boyfriend/girlfriend relationship".

    Oh, man. At my first job at a pediatric office, I was taking calls and a supervisor told(incorrectly) me to tell a parent something. When the doctor talked to staff about the patient calling back later enraged about the mistake the next day, the supervisor threw me under the bus lying that she never told me to say that. Everyone knew she was lying, but they went with it to avoid and issue with her! So many other serious staff mistakes happened at the office that week (broken blood tubes lying around, babies suffering bc no one called in their Rx)... lawsuits waiting to happen. I told my old classmate who also started working there a few days before me to get out as fast as he could. Quit, got my paycheck, and reported what I saw to their HMA home office. Later, driving by, I saw that they had shut down. I only hope my old classmates got out alive lol.

    • @mikoto7693
      @mikoto7693 2 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      And that, my friend is why I generally don’t trust supervisors and managers. If they’re going to order me to violate company policy then I ask for the order in writing, signed and dated.
      That saved me a lot of trouble quite a few years ago when I worked at what’s basically a UK version of WalMart. I worked on the dairy department which of course is pretty much entirely chilled stuff. Milk, yoghurts ect. So obviously there’s a limit on how long you can have a roll cage packed with daily stuff outside of the big walk-in fridge we had. I’m not kidding, that fridge was possibly bigger than most living rooms. I mean if you’re shelf stacking you can get away with a bit longer than the 20 minute limit due to the department being pretty chilly anyway and it’s best to park it right in front of the refrigerated shelves on shop floor.
      What you can’t get away with is longer than 20 minutes out in the warehouse section out back when the delivery lorry is in. Especially in summer where temperatures can vary between 20c and 25c, though during heatwaves it can get to 30c. But that day it was probably around 23c.
      Naturally it’s very important to get those dairy and meat cages into the fridge or the similarly sized -20c freezer quick enough. Now the supermarket chain I worked at had this policy that shelf stackers can be called to checkouts to reduce the queues regardless of how far it’ll put you behind on your own duties. You’d just have to leave what you couldn’t to the night shift. So logically when called to checkouts you must put your roll cage back in the fridge first since you don’t know how long you’ll be gone. Could be five minutes (not likely) or hours. (Which the checkout supervisors always tried to do since it their stats look good. In the end we all resorted to just leaving and going back to our department the moment the queues died down. I swear it was like a tug of war between departments sometimes.)
      Anyway there were a few tasks that basically gave you immunity from being dragged to checkouts and handling the delivery was one of them. Especially if you’re the only one doing it because everyone else has been stolen by checkouts. And that was the situation that day. I was really working hard to get all these roll cages into the fridge or freezer. These things are both wider than anyone except perhaps the morbidly obese (like 600lbs obese) and taller than any human except maybe the freakishly tall like record breaking tall.
      So when you’re a 22 year old woman of average height and weight trying to move a cage loaded to the brim with juice cartons it’s not easy. Usually I’d ask someone stronger to handle those.
      Anyway I’m about 3/4 the way through moving the 15 or so cages when the idiot manager approaches. He asks me to go support checkouts and I explained that I was the last one doing delivery because everyone else had already been poached. Usually this is enough to send the manager on their way. But not today. So I then explained that the chilled and frozen cages need to be put in the fridge/freezer within 20 minutes and I’d already spent ten so far.
      Oh he assures me that he’ll have me off checkouts quickly and that it’ll all be fine. I didn’t trust him. I knew that if those remaining cages containing hundreds of pounds worth of chilled goods got ruined by staying out so long he’d absolutely lie and throw me under the bus. So I tell him I’ll go if he writes down his orders with full understanding I’d warned him about the chilled cages complete with his signature, time and date.
      Naturally he tried to persuade me it wasn’t necessary but I put my foot down. I’d rather face a proverbial slap on the wrist disciplinary action for refusing to obey a manager than risk being on the hook for ruining all that merchandise.
      Honestly I don’t know why he didn’t just give up and leave me in peace. I’d have been done in just under ten minutes. I dunno, maybe he did actually intend to keep his word. But I got my signed, timed and dated written proof I’d been ordered to checkouts under protest.
      You can probably guess what happens next. I was stuck on checkouts for just under an hour and by the time I got to the delivery it had all warmed up and was well into thawing out. I sighed and put them in the disposal area and recorded the losses on the waste record system on the computer then resumed my other tasks. And naturally they’re a bit pissed and demand to know why I’d left all those cages to thaw like that.
      Next shift about four days later, less than an hour in and I’m called upstairs to the manager offices where my department manager and… I don’t quite remember what department the other one was from.
      So of course I show them my written orders to go to checkouts complete with proof I’d been overruled despite my reservations. So I got out of that one unscathed. As for the idiot manager I saw him twice more that week before he was apparently transferred.
      Never trust your managers.

And she always said "tell him to call Tammy (fake name)". One day after they broke up, she called like 4 times. Finally, I get a phone call that says flat up front she wants to leave a message for Joe (also fake). So I said, "Tammy again?". She freaked out and said "No, this is his WIFE. That bitch is still calling him?" Oops. I gave the guy's supervisor the message and told him what happened. He laughed and said it was Joe's own fault.

As she was putting clothes away in dresser drawer of her husband's she came across a jewlery box. Opening it she found a birthstone ring. One stone was his and the other one? NOT HERS. She walked out to the garage, put it in a vice and smashed in good. Puhadwas a Rolex watch in layaway for himself and got her the necklace. The chain had broken and it was being fixed. As it so happened she had to go the same store. When she walked in, there he was buying the necklace he told her he had bought. He had to make good on his lie and so it cost him TWO necklaces and the Rolex. He was at work when she called him so he must have flown out of there to the store to make it good...and yes they did divorce..

    The candy one reminds me of my last trip to Holland to see the other half of my family and to do my annual sweet tooth shop. I took £300.00 worth in euros with my and had 200 euro birthday money on arrival. All in all I spent 400 euros on Dutch candy. (My favourite Napolwon Salmiak Kogales, Venco Stoepkrijt and some licorice) All in all 70Kg in weight. It was a pain hauling it as a foot passenger up the gang way to the boat. I got stopped just before getting on the boat and was asked to put my bag on a folding table for inspection. I said I didn't have a problem with that, but that they would have to help pick it up. They said that they would and took 4 of them to place it on the table. (I'm still amassed that the table didn't collapse) After feeling the weight of the bag, they asked me if there was anything I wanted to tell them before they opened it. I told them that it was my Annual sweet tooth shop, though that year I got 20Kg more than usual. I think they didn't believe me that it was 99% sweets and minimal clothing in the bag, that is till they opened it and their jaws dropped. One asked who is it all for; I said it's all for me and that it would take 3 months to get through it, and that I got a little more that year, because I could see frictions between our two governments; they agreed on that one, helped re-close my bag and let me get on the boat. It was hell getting my bag to the cabin but it was all worth it in the end. On the off chance I was right about the UK and EU (Which I was) I managed to stretch my then new sweet supply out for 1 year.
    The Venco Stoepkrijt are addictive as hell, and having run out 6 months ago has me itching for these blasted lock downs to end sooner than later; but the F'rs in government are thinking about Vaccine passports. If that happens I won't bee able to travel out side of the country ever again. (I have extreme needle-phobia and I learned a long time ago that doctors can not be trusted)

      That’s an actual real thing that can happen to kids? Not that I’d know since my parents really made sure me and my brother had balanced diets and controlled what sweets we had.
      And by the time I got old enough and later got a job I was well past my growth spurts and while I enjoyed chocolates and sweets-still do to this day I can’t really eat them in large quantities.
      Add in the fact I don’t have kids and never will, and while I do babysit my nephews I stick to the parent-imposed limits. But yeah if kids really can go wild on sugar highs I’m extra glad I stick to parentally given limits. I’d genuinely hate to go home after a few hours of babysitting after inflicting two lively boys on a sugar high on my brother and his wife!

    In the first story .. the secretary was wrong. The answer to the wife must be: " i call another person from the emergency call list. I can not tell you who, because of the medical confidentiality and personal information policies". You do not say even the first letter of the other name even the other person who picked the photos was the brother or mother of the patient.

    • @shanoc5902
      @shanoc5902 3 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Exactly. As much as Frank was both an idiot and an asshole, OP crossed a line by playing 20 questions with the wife. Doing that is a huge breach of your personal information and is actually a tactic that abusers use to weasle out information from people. I've had a friend who was running from abusive parents have his new home address leaked out by people who breach his privacy like this. If it isn't their file you do NOT answer questions about it.

    • @FoxGoddess
      @FoxGoddess 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      If I remember correctly (I'm not a doctor or nurse so I don't know for sure) you can get in severe legal trouble and even have medical or nursing licenses revoked for violating patient confidentiality clauses like that. While Frank was a moron, what OP did was highly illegal and if Frank had been so inclined he would possibly (again not 100% sure) have grounds to sue them for handing out information from his patient file.

    • @przemekkozlowski7835
      @przemekkozlowski7835 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      The story also mentions that Helen was able to pick up Frank's medical documents without them talking to Frank about it first. So it looks like Amy and Halen were both authorized by Frank to have access to his medical records (which probably included people on his contact list). Or the clinic seriously violated Frank's privacy by giving out his medical records to anyone who claimed to know him.

    • @user-os1fr1qv6h
      @user-os1fr1qv6h 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@przemekkozlowski7835 they gave confidential information about Frank. Even if they are both in the contact list, you can never give the name who picked the photos, because the contact details of the list is also a confidential info. It doesn't matter if Frank is an idiot, he has the right to medical confidentiality. The clinic can give the photos to any person of the list, but can not give the name who picked them in behalf of Frank, even the person is his brother or mother etc.

    • @danielthecake8617

    4:55... To be fair it is entirely possible that maybe his mistress was his girlfriend before he got married and had her on emergency contact before he meet his wife, broke up with her but forgot she was still an emergency contact and only added his wife without deleting his old contact. For all we know he didn't cheat at all but he never told his wife that he had dated someone else before dating her. And so he is in hot water because of a miscommunication where maybe he dated two people at a similar time but not nessicarily over lapping but because she was listed as a girlfriend the wife was hearing non of it.

    Ok, first off, thank you for these. These keep me smiling whenever I have a bad day. Your "i don't work here" are my favorite, but ill listen to all your stuff. Great work!!
    Secondly, to be fair, that last Karen with the candy...well... when we had a theater around where I live with the "grab boxes" where you fill the bags and pay per however much you got, well, with our family, we'd go to the movies maybe once or twice a year when I was younger and my parents and siblings had time. They were the ONLY place and I mean ONLY place that had a specific kind of candy that I 💘, so when we'd go, I'd get 4 to 5 lbs of that candy. My parents would allow it because I would only get a water then and I wouldn't eat all the candy. That candy would last me 6 to 8 months depending. I knew it would be the only stuff I could get until we got back to the theaters, so I'd make it stretch. But something tells me that wasn't what was going on here tho...
