Oooh this lesson has so much in it! I’ll repeat this many times ;) Kneeling on one knee is pretty challenging for me right now - a strong indicator that will keep me motivated to see how stable and more aware I can become. Thanks again, Alfons!
I did this lesson first thing in the morning. I found myself becoming aware of tension in my jaw as I did the flexion/extension. Then I was having a lot of spontaneous yawns with the flexion/extension. This was relaxing. Thank you.
I've done a lot of tabletop/cat/cow. Never have I felt my spine in such a way. I visualised that my arms and legs were steady poles; this gave support for my spine to move freely. A whole section in my thoracic vertebrae 'clicked' into alignment. I really connected with your comment of lengthening...I am now visualising curving my spine around a large ball and lengthening around it...this lead to uncovering where I hold tension...then relaxation. Thank you Alfons see you in the next lesson...
Thanks to you and your videos , I'm finally able to fold my body up from a standing position to a sitting floor position and get up from the floor by rotating hips and un folding my body to stand . I had a stroke 4 years ago and bit by bit I'm regaining flexibility and movement . I now explore my body position and knowing how the body is structured I can instantly well almost choose the best way to move. Thank You
When I stood up at the end, I felt like there was an invisible string pulling me through my spring to the ground. I felt more anchored. So weird!! It changes every video; something is different after!! Thank you 😊
Alfons, Have ben doing your videos each night... first I am sleeping better, second I went for a walk at the park last week and without trying to do anything different, noticed how much better my posture was and how much more self-aware I was. Enjoying being aware of the internal sensations of my body. Third, I am grateful to you for the moving meditation each evening! Bernadette from Pennsylvania, United States
Once again, thank you for your beautiful classes. I love your ideas on movement! "Follow what you can feel" wonderful words to practice with :) Namaste, Dar
Another of your excellent videos! It really made me 'feel' movements and parts of my spine you normally are not aware of. Thank you!!! And have a nice weekend☺
Thank you, Alfons, interesting! Sun salutations were my morning wakeup for years. Suprising how effective Feldenkrais concentration is in awakening all (including digestion 🌞) I will return to both, again.
Fascinating lesson. Need to repeat several times to get it! Thanks Alfons. Ps sitting cross legged MUCH more comfortable afterwards. Don't want to get up!! Never had that before, change in the hips and straightness of the spine (have scoliosis issue that has benefitted considerably). Much more enjoyable than the hell of the previous lesson that made me very angry (in a good way) releasing the trapped inner child.
Hi there Alfons! -If you can believe this, I could not do the sitting down movement (the first positions)! My mid-back was so weak that I could feel it shaking. I often find I can’t sit still in that cross legged position fo long, unless I am active and bending back and forth...but I just cannot sit still in that position b/c of the pain. So, I continued on by simply laying on the floor and doing Class 2 with the head and hands interlinked and this helped relieve that back agitation. I also found I weak on the last move, kneeling...felt a tightness in the left hip. I know my lumbar was very sore today and the left is ‘twingy’ with pain. I wish I could report better today! :) I feel better now that I’m moving about.
Really Liked this Alfons! ThankYouAgain. I used to stretch after workouts, now I ALWAYS do FM w/you and it's waaay better than a stretch after exercise:))))
P.s I commented on it a few months ago. But after doing other of your videos and practicing more at home, it just feels completely different. So that is why I commented twice.
Thanks Alfons - really liked how you wrapped everything together from the previous lessons. At a break in the middle, the shoulders felt very relaxed (as much as from the Freedom for stiff shoulder's lesson with Jeanette), and the flexion and extension on one arm and one elbow felt great - working with different muscles, vertebrae, etc. Nice lesson.
HI Alfons, back again this morning. The sun salutation was much easier this morning except in the hips during the up on the knee positions where there is a lot of wobble. Very interesting. I think at the end of this sequence I'll go on to your hip series. There was so much change today! It was very exciting. I could feel the movement of the spine for more of the undulations, felt the movement of shoulders and shoulder blades. When I stand up I feel that I am standing in a much more comfortable, might I say also dignified? position. Maybe that means that more and more of the old habits connected with pain and shame are being released through these lessons. Thank you so much!! All of it is wonderful and I appreciate your help so much.
Good morning Alfons, thank you, as always, for sharing these excercises! It has loosened my right hip/psoas and even my knees feel better. I practice quite a lot of (traditional) goju ryu karate training and really needed a gentle 'tune up'. Have a good Easter weekend. Kind regards
As always great and generous. I am transitioning my yoga teaching into a more somatic approach and planning to study Feldenkrais method. This and the eyesight session are my fav. 🌼🙂🌼
HI Alfons, Good morning from Tampa Florida. I came to this lesson this morning and was not so happy that it was strenuous! I like that lying on my back and belly stuff, yet also glad as I have not been doing things that require.. how would you put it...the body to exert itself. First time ever, doing "table pose" that I was able to feel my spine all the way through and find some evenness and grace in the movement. Usually there is just straining to try to achieve a curved spine. I will be doing this lesson again ( and hopefully again). I think it will help a lot with the asymmetry in my hips and pain in the right one. Thank you so much! You are a wonderful teacher!
Susan, it took me about 7 years of regular Feldenkrais practice before I accepted lessons in sitting, and another year to start to like lessons in standing. Take your time! 😊🌹
Now it’s been 15 years... sometimes I do a lot, sometimes very little... because it’s still such a niche, so little competition and social structure, it’s very organic...
Fantastic class Alfons, thank you! My body feels so different that I can actually sit in the awkward position my computer is in to connect to my TV and write a comment. And thank you for the reminder sheet, that's a great help because I do need a prompt to remember the movements. I have a request - when we did the forward and backward flexion of the head, on our knees, I became aware of the tightness of the muscles in the front of my thighs. This has always been a problem for me. When I used to do yoga, the poses that stretch these front thigh muscles were really painful. Do you have a lesson that helps with that?
Thank you Alice for your feedback :-) To answer your question: You bet I have ! :-D It's part of my hip joints workshop: th-cam.com/video/twrBEonqt-Q/w-d-xo.html and there's also a shorter version without spoken instructions: th-cam.com/video/AEuk_IeqaYg/w-d-xo.html
Oof! This lesson definitely needs more effort for me than the previous ones. Very interesting the way I started to feel all the different parts of my spine, but also can't help but feel a bit weak and wobbly. Is this something to be concerned about I wonder? Or is it just that gravity is quite strong and some of these poses mean we have to work against it? I think I shall keep repeating the whole series as I'm learning so much.
No kidding, I’m convinced that gravity is stronger in some places on this earth than others. Nonetheless, we shall be strong! Keep on going. Glad you enjoy the series and thank you for your thoughtful feedback! 🙏❤️
Hello again, do you do a DVD of your lessons - I know you have a book but I'm not good at following written instructions when it comes to exercising. Thank you, Alfons.
Saludos ✌️

Great to do in the morning. Thanks for all your videos. You are helping me save my life from fibromyalgia.
Thank you! I keep coming back to your amazing classes. 👏
Fabulous. Loads of surprises. and now, sweeet dreams will be mine!

for me it was rather "cat an cow variation", but I like it and it works. Thank you Alfons
The sun salutation in Yoga is a "cat and cow variation" 😅
Excellent sessions AlfAnso. This has changed my posture and am walking straighter. Thank you
Thank you very much, Alfons!

wonderful! I do the same 😊
Thank you, Alfons. And Happy New Year!.
This was very hard on my knees, ankles and hips joints. But I really like it.✌️

Hello from Spain.Thank you for your vídeos. Every time I do the exercises my eyesight improves so much.
brilliant as ever.

Try my two videos that start with the words „Kneeling“ for more stability on the knee 👍😊

Genial loosens area between shoulderblades,- great after bankart shoulder operation. Winning mobility back mami!

I'm a TH-camr, I don't have DVDs. Alan Questel has wonderful DVDs, so does Frank Wildman I believe, or Anat Baniel.

Hablas demasiado necesitas un Modelo que haga con secuencia los ejercicios en lo que tú explicas
