you should really add a review of each bike on what it's like to ride it 5 miles back to the house on a dead battery or electrical system. That seems pretty important.
I can tell you this fact right here. If it’s a moped style 20 inch wheel ebike you will not be able to pedal it without power. You’re pushing those. If it’s a normal size bike or fat tire one it’s not too bad, just like riding a regular bike with some added weight and very doable

Mine just came. Had Chaoyang tires. No touch up paint. I own the '23 model, and a small but significant tip is to change the C5 setting to 10, it over doubles your acceleration.. as it's limited, even while feeling plenty powerful
10 seemed way to jerky for me, I settled on 6. Also, 10 seemed a little unsafe because sometimes you can kick on PAS unintentionally by slight movements of the pedals. Having that twitchy of acceleration when stopped for a passing bus or say near a steep drop off on a trail can put you in a spot to not have time to stop yourself before disaster. I found a better setup is the 6 setting but having the throttle setting on max all the time for when you need those quick bursts of acceleration.

The nice thing about the Mokwheel is the high payload capacity of 400 pounds, good for riders who are over 250 pounds. Can the Wired bike support a larger rider? Also how well of a job does the rear swing arm do at absorbing wheel hop? Because, with a rear drive instead of a mid-drive that is my concern being a heavier rider.

Fyi, I was told it would take at least 2 months for an ecells by their sales team. Wired freedom said it would ship within 24 hrs.
Hey, I wanted to mention, I ordered this bike through your link and also ordered for my wife the Aipas A6 Dual Motor through the link on that video. I find your videos very helpful. I spent about 20 hours looking at a bunch of your videos to get a feel for what I might actually want. Bikes haven't come yet (I literally just ordered them), but thanks again for your work!
thank you!
I’m actually trying to decide between the two bikes haha. I need to ride 20-30 miles with 40-60lbs of cargo. Any thoughts between the two bikes? I want to avoid becoming exhaust at the end of the work day, which is why I like the Wired, but the A6 is purpose built for cargo.
I've been shopping around for months. I might just try this! Thanks!
I have been doing the same and now that wired has a cruiser with 2 batteries and upgraded everything. Still for 2k I just pre ordered one but Im close to Chicago so I can pick it up.
I have 2 of these 2024 Freedoms, the blue and the orange. So far they have been amazing! If they can beef up the shipping boxes a little better so they don't get scratched during shipping this would be absolutely perfect.
You don’t have two of these bikes, don’t lie. The 2024 bikes are not even shipping out yet.
At least they include a small bottle of touch up paint. Nice touch. How long and how many miles do you have on them? Would you buy them again? I'm very tempted... Thx
@@melrobinson6919 it is nice that they included that. They wrap them in plastic wrap which is good because the orange bottle was busted and leaked out, but luckily it didn't get on the bike or anything else. I have a few small dings on both bikes but nothing super major.
So far on the Blue I have 107 miles, and the orange about 70. These are the first eBikes I've ever owned so I can't really compare them to anything else, but so far they have been great.
I'm waiting for Black Friday to purchase a Hollywood Bike Rack so I can start taking the bikes to trails to really test them out.
I saw a black 2024 in Venice Beach today. @@dixienormis3614
@@dixienormis3614 Many people have already received the October shipment. The November shipment is being sent out as we speak. My bike should arrive on the 25th here in SoCal.
Need you to review their latest version asap
These are Anderson PowerPole style connectors and can be used with a small locking pin through the holes in the connectors so they can't pull apart.
Does anybody know if Wired normally installs this locking pin and it was just overlooked in production? Anderson connectors are usually pretty tight even without a locking pin so maybe it was just never fully connected to begin with? I don't think one day's riding should cause this...even that hill should not cause this, so I'm betting it was loose from the get-go.
Thank you for the video! I've been wading through a sea of $1,300 bikes, then saw this one at $2,000 packed with features. I ordered one 5 days ago. Expected delivery mid to late July. I hope their delivery times are accurate.
@@stoffel6348 OMG!!! That stinks!! I messaged them yesterday for an update with my order number, they said they are still on target for mid to late July. That sounds impossible if you ordered yours in May. Did you order a "Cruiser" or "freedom"? When I ordered mine the step through was projected for August delivery. I ordered the blue "freedom".
Ordered mine May 4th, just got tracking number today, excited! Woohoo!
@Hubjeep Just now got my tracking number! It's the Freedom in orange, can't wait! Maybe they just have a bunch on order and on the way, not necessarily ordering them as they are "pre-ordered " so yours could be coming. Have faith friend! As I almost lost mine lol. Overseas shipments never have an exact arrival day so I can see how it's tough to promise even a two week time frame. Seems all companies are on backorder for ebikes.
@@stoffel6348 Thanks for the reply! So that was 55 days. I ordered mine on June 19... 55 days would be Aug 13, plus shipping time. Please post the condition of the box. Did you pay for the optional shipping insurance?
@@stoffel6348 Yes, it's plausible that there was a batch coming in and will fill multiple orders, hopefully. I live in NY (meh), a mid to late July delivery would give me August, September, and some of October to ride (I don't like the cold). I'm thinking about making a TH-cam video about my order so others can comment about their order/arrival (or not) dates. Are there forums covering this (if forums are still around... I'm old school, lol)? I found one with very few threads.
I had asked WF if they were going to get UL certs for their batteries, their response was 'we are currently working on it'.
I have heard this as well and would expect the next batch to be UL certified.
That would be so damn sweet if true@@jfly2249

How does it do on gravel roads with dust? As using as a hunting bike.
Awesome review! Definitely a contender.
Any plans to review Fucare Taurus?
2:57 touch up paint is probably their way of dealing with things getting scratched in shipping..
I scratched mine on purpose looks cooler that way
It should be standard to be honest, shipping damage is pretty common

How will I be able to mount rear cargo basket to the rear rack if there will be second battery in the new model will there be enough space in between the battery and the rack for the mounting screws ?
Grreat videos....keep coming back to watch this one....might just pull the trigger on a wired freedom....by the way, what phone app are you using to track speed etc?
Speedometer and Strava
Thanks for the review. I was wondering about what ebike would work for a taller rider. You answered that. Bike looks well made.
You should definitely review the new 2024 dual battery version. I love it and would love to see what you think.
I just pulled the trigger on the new cruiser. I appreciate your reviews.
So what were all those wires/connectors for? (At 3:10)
Mmm ?
Nice bike. Nice video. What a cluster f environment. Has to be SoCal.
That clanging is probably the top chain run slapping the swingarm in the hgher gears when not pedalling.
I love how good light electric motorcycles are getting. It won't be long until 60mph with the same range is attainable.
Mine arrives in January and is “Forest”. Thanks
mine november shipping got delayed again :( The logistics companies in the country, has lost communications with the driver, the carrier and most importantly, the container of e-bikes.
Is the bikes brakes rated for 40 mph breaking. I’m sure it can stop but will the breaks continually handle the 40 mph braking. If you ride at 40mph how long will the battery last?
Is there a regeneration mechanism on that bike? (Charging batteries while going downhill in a low gear e.g.?)
Thanks!
Thank you so much dude! I hope you enjoy your new Wired Freedom and cargo bike!
mine comes in january , does the bike come with a class 3 ebike sticker ??
also should i be worried about useing this on trails , or just don't be dumb on trials and go normal speed lol, also should i be worried about it not having a class 3 sticker on it when i unlock it ?
It’s not a class 3 when unlocked. Class 3 is 28mph max, and no throttle.
What do you think about using this on hills, rocky dirt and trails ? We live up here in New Hampshire lots of trails. I need something to go out on the trails with my pups.
Just ordered my eBay today thanks for the tips and video and I told them that you sent me
Wired thanks you!
Thanks for uploading! Please consider reviewing the Cyctrac EM10 M560 (or M600 if you can find one)!
Okay so what are those connectors for? It looks like you can use those wires to interchange the batteries from the older models!
That’s a very good question. He didn’t really explain why the bike came with an extra wiring harness.
I hope my bike gets shipped with the same extra bag of wires.
It’s always nice to have spare parts.
15:01 I agree with you there. I have both torque and cadence sensing ebikes and for everything but mountain biking I prefer the cadence sensor.
I'm hoping mine comes in this week! Great reviews thank you!
You’ll be lucky if it comes this year

I've owned electric stand-up scooters and only dual motor. I want a more enjoyable experience and am interested in purchasing my first ebike. I'd like an ebike that's comfortable, easy to work on, find parts for, and has a long range. I'm not so sure about a single motor ebike, however. I was looking at the Ariel X52 step through or their Grizzly. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
I'd also say this bike is an optical illusion. From a distance, it looks like a kids BMX bike (with added rack & fenders) but as you come closer to it, it gets bigger & bigger.
This is an awesome video!!!! Thank you so much for this content and being a tall 6'5" cyclist (I'm 6'3")!!!!! I just purchased this ebike in Titian yesterday morning! I am so excited I had to watch your video again today for like the 30th time or so just to try to quell my anticipation! I have looked at tons of ebikes and videos in the last 3-4months and yours are by far some of the best I can find! #kudos I plan on using this to commute through the terribly maintained pothole and crack-ridden streets of downtown Philadelphia and ditching the car during the week! #gassaver. Anyway, I just had to mention it to you personally and thank you again for all the reviews you've done! I wish you the best sir!! Mine won't be here for 3wks but I might make a video and tag you! #keepdoingwhatyourdoing
How do you like it??!
The only pedal e-bike that you can move to the left lane and pass cars in the slow lane😁 And how does that Steve talk to every one of his customers😲. I had an unplugged throttle earlier in the year that made mine DOA and we figured it out over the phone too.
you should really add a review of each bike on what it's like to ride it 5 miles back to the house on a dead battery or electrical system.
I'm getting my 2024 black Freedom Wired today in New Mexico. Tons of places to ride. I will be retiring my Rad Rover ebike but I'm looking forward to that...

Great review, does it have cruise control for long, boring trips?
yeah, it does have a cruise function.
would you recommend for light to moderate mountain biking trails?
Mine just came. Had Chaoyang tires. No touch up paint. This is a very big bike (compared to my Velotric Discover 1 and T1ST) and it is challenging to swing your leg over the rack-you best start stretching! I now see the logic of 20 and 24 inch tires. I'm 5-10 and 180#. It's quite the machine to master and will keep it in class 2 for awhile...
Those Chaoyang tires have a 20lb maximum air pressure!
I hear you. We see lots of 26" and 20" fat tire ebikes but I'm thinking a 24" would be a sweet spot for lots of people including me. Very few 24" fat tire bikes to choose from.
I bought last years model and I love the bike. Customer support is incredible! I can't wait until the spring to start riding again!

What are you talking about?
I've seen so much on this bike. My conclusion is top speed throttle 37-38mph and pedal assist 40 mph .. Great torque!
Why is suspension clunking? Does yours make that noise?
My legal-ish e bike 500w 750 max does 28 throttle only and 31 pedal assist 8 gear . It cost half what this bike costs. This one looks more fun though ngl lol
@@user-oy9zy4ds9m Mine is 750w but only does 20 throttle only, I don't understand how mine only goes 20mph but 250w ones go around 15-17mph. If I lift wheel up and do full throttle, it goes 24 :/ I am sure it's not correct but could be wrong.
@@Neilukuk go deep into the bike’s settings see if your allows you to change the power output, max speed, PAS output etc. Mine lets me change virtually everything to any percent 0-100%, from the factory the default settings were low and lame I had to go and change them all. Now my 500/750 puts out 999 watts, accelerates much faster, ……. Probably not good for longevity but it gets me well over 30 mph quickly with just moderate pedaling . I can also change the cadence sensitivity to where I barely touch the pedals and motor gives me instant full 999 watts

Of all the high power 26'' fat tire bikes, is the wired/ecells the most "upright" seating position? I need a bike that doesn't put a bunch of pressure on my hands/wrists. I am 6' tall and the bikes ive tried, with the seat at the proper height for good leg extension, put me "up on the bars" to much.

have you tried a 3 inch tire on a fat tire bike is it possible on the wired?
What’s your experience riding it in the rain, do you think it would survive in wet weather, or will it break?

Would switching out the bmx bars to mountain bike bars be a better option? I like the aggressive style of mountain bike bars and the bmx bars seem to be to upright.

Are there any good pedal assisted E bikes that are made and assembled in the USA?
Awesome review! I'm looking at the Eahora Juliet and this one. Both bikes look strong; but if you were to choose one, which would you get for your style of riding?
Juliet if you want to ride for a long time (60 miles or more), get the Freedom if you want an adrenaline rush but only 30 miles of range. Wired is my choice personally, I never want to be on a bike for more than 30 miles most of the time, Wired fits me well also
The red and black connector is called an Anderson power connector. On the connector is two small holes spitting the red and black, there is a lock pin designed to press into the two holes keeping the connector from separating.
Apart from being on the 60V platform vs the 48V, how would you compare this bike to the Mokwheel Basalt?
The nice thing about the Mokwheel is the high payload capacity of 400 pounds, good for riders who are over 250 pounds. Can the Wired bike support a larger rider? Also how well of a job does the rear swing arm do at absorbing wheel hop? Because, with a rear drive instead of a mid-drive that is my concern being a heavier rider.
