One of the best videos I’ve ever seen about cleaning and repasting a MacBook Pro if not the best. Imagine if you would’ve installed a clean and fresh version of the latest macOS. It would be bonkers. Great job.
@Brandon W not if you used a cooler designed to cool the chip effictivly. Apple would never use a cooler design that would cool said chip as it would require them to thicken the machines a good bit and that's something they'd never allow to happen. Well at that time at least now I don't think they care since now they're using ARM chips and not X86/X64 processors.
Even after 10 years this macbook looks like a 2022 laptop. Apple is amazing . I just love my New Macbook Air M1 which I got few days ago best choice of my life
This is what I should do for my daughter is to find a cheap used one and clean it up. I try to clean mine out at least once a year, normally just a simple dusting but I never keep them long enough to replace thermal paste etc.
Wow! If it's one thing that sets off alarm bells/ alarm clocks in my head is an overheating device! It doesn't matter whether it's an iPhone or Macbook, I'd shut it down immediately. I do appreciate how you carefully elaborated on how to open and clean a Macbook. Regular maintenance is key to a lasting device.
Issue is, with devices like that one, just having it on makes it super hot, so if you want to use it in its current state, before he fixed it, it's just always hot and you have to live with it. Kind of like the 2020 macbook air intel that is always hot.
I'll take your 9 year old MacBook & raise you my 15 year old Sony Vaio FW series. Still working well, although it could do with the thorough cleaning you appear to be a master of! If I tried it i'd probably break something.
Ceramique 2 is not a good paste when the heatsink pressure is very low. You need to use cooler master maker gel or ic diamond or thermal right tfx which has better temps and longevity than ceramique 2. If you want even core temps use carbonaut carbon sheet. Make sure the size of the cloth fits within the die size since it can cut easily and conductive. I'm unsure if the die next to CPU is pch or igpu.
It really doesn't matter what kind of thermal paste you use on something like this, no point overthinking it. Any decent quality one will work. I had a tube of Ceramique 2 spare so I used that. The most important thing is that the old paste is removed and replaced. The die next to the CPU is the iGPU.

Is not the intel cpu that have issues, is apple that didn't use appropriate cooling solution because of aesthetics...

Omg... I have the late 2013 MBP and I have the same overheating problem. Nice video, dude :)

Just get her a new one man :’ ) and let her know she should care it
@@OfficialOthniel I would never spend thousands on a 10 year old for a macbook....she cant even take care of headphones half the time.
Thanks for this! I'm definitely going to do a deep dusting of my mac. CPU gets cooking hot when I'm just browsing the internet haha.
Awesome 👏 i fixed one of these up and it was amazing how much changing the thermal paste does to improve thermals. Same thing for my gaming laptop
It's why I want a MacBook Air because dust would never be an issue ❤️👍
Plus the bench marks are double :)

@@CreatedTech ok.
Wow great work
This video was so satisfying
Dont you think that the high CPU temp is because of a non-apple battery? cause mine has such a problem too and it runs a bit slow...
such a good video, so high quality
Updated thumbnail 👏🏻
Lol, I was hoping that cleaning would fix it!
NO! its not just an intel cpu overall, its an uncapable cooling system
I want to know how to clean 2021 macbook 14''
I'm getting professional mac based creator vibes from you sir, keep the good work 🙌💙
