This was such a great video. I'm still in my program and have been learning ways to take care of myself before I become a licensed therapist.

I was very enthusiastic when I started. I was passionate to help.
But very quickly I learned that it has to come from the client. If they aren’t entirely engaged with their healing then no amount of me being enthusiastic will help.
I think the more seasoned therapists have taken a step back and have no emotional attachment to their clients outcome.
It can be hard when we care about people though.

Yup I’m actually considering quitting as we speak… …the way people are forced to work for low pay as they attempt to build practices after years of training it’s unbelievable!
