Hi Zoe Been meaning to message you for some time now to let you know that I used this tutorial and my cake turned out great! I have made a wedding cake, christening cake and a baby shower cake since then too. It was so easy to follow and I can't thank you enough. You are my go to cake girl if I have something new I want to learn. You are amazing! Thank you!!!!
Your videos are brilliant! I am making a woodland cake for my friends wedding in September, so your bark tutorial and the owl are perfect!! So anymore videos for that them would be great lol! :)
+Zoes Fancy Cakes you are so kind! I mean that white cutter. sometimes it sticks on the fondant, you know, it doesnt roll as easy as you do. I have to tide it so often because while Im rolling it it get loose. thank you!
Love the videos....question...if you haven't perfected putting the ruffles on the side of the cake applying directly on the cake can you just cut out a circle of fondant put the ruffles on the circle then apply the circle on the side of the cake then just fill in the gaps? I'm new to this so I'm always trying to look for an easier way to do things. Just asking thanks: )
Marie Resto As long as you haven't stuck these to anything else that should work fine, although I am not sure it will stick quite as well once the fondant has already dried, your best bet is to just try it on something small to test it :) Thanks for watching!
+Lea Kenaston Thanks for watching! I really wouldn't like to say for sure as it depends how thick you roll it, I always buy loads more just in case, but quantity is not my strong point!
Oh! Thank you so much for your quick reply! I wish there were baking terms universally agreed upon. Don't you? Thanks so much for your fine videos. I've learned so much. :)
+Cakes Cupcakes In my video I use flower and modelling paste, you could use tylose but I wouldn't know how much to recommend as I do not use it. Thanks for watching
Wow! That looks amazing! Wasn't expecting to see you start from the outside in!

Excellent!
Could you do these on a piece of fondant ahead of time and then attach them to the cake?
Marie Resto As long as you haven't stuck these to anything else that should work fine, although I am not sure it will stick quite as well once the fondant has already dried, your best bet is to just try it on something small to test it :)
Thanks for watching!
Awesome!!! Thanks for sharing
What size is your Cake tier you are making the ruffle flowers on? Just beautiful! I should try on a small cake. Thanks! Love your videos!!
Its a 12 inch cake :)…I should have done it on a smaller one as it took me forever
About how long did it take you to create and apply the ruffles onto that one tier?
How much fondant should we budget for when doing this technique if doing, say, a 9" wide x 4" high cake? Many thanks!
+Lea Kenaston Thanks for watching! I really wouldn't like to say for sure as it depends how thick you roll it, I always buy loads more just in case, but quantity is not my strong point!
Beautiful cake, thanks for sharing!

Elle M Hi Ellie, I just filled it in with strips of fondant, thanks for watching x
Hi Zoe, have you got any templates and tutorials on pipping? I love what I have seen so far. Thank you.
I haven't I'm afraid Jenny, I'll put it on my list of things to make videos of though :) x
Thank you
Beautiful!
Can you use the back of a small spoon instead of a ball tool or would that not work?
You could certainly give it a go. I've not tried it, but have a go and if that works better for you, then keep doing it with a spoon :) x
Zoes Fancy Cakes Thanks, I just tried it and it worked out great :)
