You do a wonderful job of explaining and showing me, as a novice, step by step just how to do the amazing things you do. I appreciate your videos SO much!! Thank you so very much for sharing!!!!
So beautiful! And a very clear explanation. Thank you!! I will be making my granddaughter’s cake this week and wanted to stencil the sides of the base cake.
Great demonstration n tips! And English too! Trying to make a Faberge egg cake. Very difficult!lol. I'm thinking stenciling will be 'daintier' than fondant moldings. Many thanks!
oh wow. so much talent! i really love watching your videos. they're so informative and so so beautiful to watch. thanks for showing us so many wonderful, easy to follow techniques and figures. Xx
Loved the vid. Did the same thing about 20 yrs. ago with a butterfly stencil and dry wall joint compound for a border on my daughter's bedroom wall... Thanks for thre tutorial, beautiful work and great tips.
Awesome and so lovely. :) I can also appreciate that it is probably not as easy as you make it look having tried something similar on polymer clay with softened polymer clay that I mixed with liquid clay. :) It didn't work out quite like I had hoped. Maybe I will have to try again. :) - Heidi
Lovely Video. It is really an attractive looking wedding cake. Please can you tell me where I can purchase such Stencils for wedding cakes. Are expensive ? looking forward to your other videos - Blessings & Thanks Len
HELP. Im trying to Candle drip a bundt cake that is NOT Fondant first, it seems like the Royal Icing is thinning down as it runs down the side. Does the candle drip Royal Icing ever get hard, or just dries to the touch?
Zoes Fancy Cakes Does the royal icing crack after it dries? I'm nervous about using royal icing with my stencil the night before. Especially because I will not be able to stack the cakes until I get to the venue.
imran haq Thanks for watching my stenciling cake tutorial Imran. If I am being 100% honest I am not actually sure, there's only one way to find out! :)
+Cakes Cupcakes You don't want your royal icing to be too thin / watery when using a stencil as it will get underneath the plastic on the stencil. You have to find a balance of thickness to see what works, I would recommend testing it on a flat piece of fondant first just to check it works. You could dye your royal icing black using food colouring, I use sugarflair colours, but it can sometimes make the consistency a bit weird. It might be better seeing if you can purchase it pre dyed. Hope that helps x

Len August I’ve purchased cake stencils on Amazon.
Great video, just a question is it better to use royal icing or butter cream ?
Thanks for watching! I think this is more down to preference, both work well. The best thing to do would be to test both out and see which you prefer.
