This is good to know since I am a bonified Analogue geek new to the DAW game.Excellent tutorial thanks.😊🤖📡
Glad it was helpful!
Thanks Dave once again you clearly explained something I was too embarrassed to ask about! Lol
Glad to help!
Thanks for the clarification.
Any time!
nice work
Thank you! Cheers!
Thank you!
You're welcome!
So many people get confused with this. Although I'd say stems are one step further eg a buss/aux that already has all the processing on from the multitracks & buss, say if a metal band wanted to make an electronic mix of the song
Thanks for watching!
Bob Clearmountain would be pleased as he recently explained the difference between multi tracks and stems 👍
Did he? That's pretty cool
Hello dave, thanks for the video, when exporting stems, do they first go through the Main stereo out before they get placed in the destination folder?
Yes it does. I am almost certain of that
I don't have any efx on my audio files. But I like the panning I did. How do I export the audio files with panning?
Pan it, then export and it should be there, I believe.
Since I use "Folder" and of course add the "Add Bus to Folder" that would be the exact same process just muting out tracks and only using these Folder/Buses?
Yes
Hi Dave, I've noticed that if choosing to export the tracks and not the channels it seems to take a lot longer, especially if the project has heavy processes/plugins. But exporting via channels it seems to go really quickly. Do you know the reason for this?
I never noticed any difference on my end so, I m not usre
I use some tempo manipulation at the end of the track going from 90 bpm to 10 bpm but when I export my stems or individual audio files, presonus does not recognize this tempo change and if I play later the stem files, it sounds like I did nothing to the tempo. do you have a solution for that? Before it worked always but since I did some kind of upgrade I guess, presonus ignore my tempo writing at all when I export.
I am really not sure. I recommend that you go to the Presonus user forum and post your question there. I am sure someone there can help. Thanks!
Hi. How do I export everything to my S1 Collaborator so that he/she sees exactly what I see on my side with everything in place and in time?
Do I
1. Open up a collab work space and invite then via their email
2. Go to 'file' above my song and select convert to zip file
3. Select upload to Presonus Sphere
4???
Not sure. I would check with the Presonus user forum
I'm having issues when I export my stems from MPC and then drag and drop in studio one my stems won't loop right after I set the loop and tempo
I would post your issue in the Presonus user forum
Hi one question for you. Why, when I export a stem and send it to someone who works on another DAW, the speed of the stem is different from that of the initial project? This thing drives whoever receives the file crazy and has to resynchronize everything. I use the same sample rate... what's wrong?
Check your export settings. My guess is that you have it set to "stretch" the audio to the tempo in the session.
@@HomeRecordingMadeEasy I do not know. How can I check? What parameters should I check? What if you want to eliminate this problem?
Thanks! #partywithdjpapi
You're very welcome
I need help why every time I goto export it says the clipping error
that means you mix is too hot and the master fader is clipping. If you need help with S1 training, click here

🤣How many of your younger viewers actually know who The Chipmunks were. ALVIN ‼️ 🤪
Obviously you do...LOL
I disagree why in the export STEMS box you have options to select which tracks/stems to EXPORT. jmo to each his own my friend also FX channels s I call RETURNS. to each his own God Bless my friend Don't stop Believin'
You got it
As much as you state the individual tracks to be exported are NOT stems, the language of the menu does NOT say Export audio Files, it states Export Stems. Maybe it should more correctly state Export Stems/Tracks, but the language used by PreSonus is ONLY Export Stems. Maybe you should ask Presonus to make that change. We are generally incapable of getting Presonus/Fender to make any really useful changes.
Ok, sure.
Selling all my Presonus stuff personally. At least 5,000 dollars worth. They know nothing about the modern producer market. They will prioritize the live music/guitar lessons over the atom or anything rap/pop/rnb related.
Ok, then....good luck with your future DAW, which ever that one ends up being
