    What I found very helpful with my Morton's Neuroma are toe socks. I use Injinji toes socks for all my runs. At other times when wearing summer shoes with no socks, then I also used a pad similar to Brad's, but it was inconsistent when out for a run. The toe socks never gave me a problem. I'm 68 and have had this neuroma for years,

    iritated my right foot shoveling wet soil gardening over here in Green Bay on June 10. Made it worse by having to limp to bathroom on other side of building at work due to construction. Foot swelled up. Pt and doc took x-rays, tuning fork. No break. Wore compression socks which helped, but also new shoes with wider width that gives better support helped. Soaking foot in cool water with ice water and elevating it afterwards helped. It is much better. That big toe joint was enflamed. Most likely a bruise from shoveling, and taking a blood thinner didn't help. Hey, Bob looks good , keep hanging in there over there in Winona! hugs. Jimmy from Austin, Minn, now in Green Bay, Wisconsin.

    I've been stretching my calves after I watched your latest video on planter fascitis. It really helps! My heel hurt so bad I thought I must have had bone spurs. It was like walking on big needles. But the calf stretching helped immediately.
    My calves were so tight I could no longer crouch/squat down at all. I can almost crouch/squat all the way to the ground now. And that really seems to help my feet as well as my knees.
    I also have started squishing my heel with my fingers before putting any weight on it. Squishing from the sides toward the center. I usually feel the fascia release when I do that. (Releasing fascia feels like Rice Krispies crunching.)
    I think the combination of tight calves and stuck heel fascia caused my planter fascitis. And I am soooo relieved that it is starting to go away! Thank you!

      My heels hurt so bad . I do calf streching and Chinese squats but still in pain. I even massaged my gallbladder as itcould relate to stones or sludgy gallbladder. Hoeever there is one thing helped instantly but temporarily, massaging foot and leg with a spoon using the edge of grip side.

    • @anyascelticcreations
      @anyascelticcreations 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@mangoo2004 I'm still having to release the heel fascia and stretch the calves every day before putting any weight on that heel at all. I will start doing that after I've sat for a little while too because it hurts if I skip it after any amount of not being on my feet.
      It may seem like a tempory fix but I don't think it actually is for me. I think it needs to be done until the tissue is allowed to completely heal. And that could take a while.
      Much like wearing a cast for a broken arm is only a temporary fix if it's taken off right away. But it's a long term fix if it is left on until the bone is allowed to heal.
      I plan to continue stretching my calves and practicing squatting all the way to the ground long term now. Because I don't want them to get tight like that again. I'd rather do maintenance daily than deal with that pain again.
      I can't say if yours is plantar fascitis or not. But if it is, you may have to do your stretches and myofascial release regularly for a while, too.

    bob and brad, the 2 most famous..... i recently started forefoot walking and running so of course i have the wide toe boxes and flat shoes, also use the toe spreaders ,i am almost past the calf muscle adjustment ,although by me it was at the lower half of the calf, close to the foot, anyway i now have a little forefoot discomfort when i am walking forefoot (witch is basically what i have addapted) i do 20+ mile cycling rides and there it does not bother, is it part of the forefoot walking adjustment or should i be concerned, as i have not seen that mentioned as part of the adjusment?( i walk-run 7 miles about twice a week, did 18 sunday, 7 tuesday, plan for another 7 tomorrow)

    Cheaper then the foot pads specifically cut for Morton's neuroma. Pads work up to a point, however I love hiking and after 3-4 miles dreaded Morton's comes back. Steroid injection works for a few months but finally elected surgery and now completely cured (in that foot!) Last year developed Morton's in other foot and sticking with the pads for the moment which definitely help as B & B say.

    Thanks for the video! Can you do one about pain on the TOP of the foot? I have no idea what is causing this. I used to get foot cramps at night as a kid where my toes would curl under, and if I stretched them out it would fix it. This feels like a cramp going the *opposite* way! And if I curl my toes under it kind of stretches it out and feels better for a little bit, but sometimes it comes back.

I think I figured it out though, because I woke up this morning and realized my foot was flexed and pushing against the bottom of my blanket really hard, pushing the toes back. So it looks like I've found yet another way to injure myself in my sleep.

    The arch of my foot is in pain. The problem area is the middle of the bottom of the foot towards the inside. It feels like a tendon/muscle. Looks like it could be the plantar fasciitis? It feels tense and hurts to walk until I limber it up. I've been rolling a tennis ball under it. That relives it for a bit after thobbing initially then it comes back hours later.

      @@ThonColinFilms Hello. First I completely understand what you are going through. My spine surgeon told me he didn't think my burning feet was due to my L5/S1 disc bulge. He sent me to a foot surgeon in his same office who said the same thing. They sent me to get a EMG nerve test done. That doctor found my nerves to be normal. So all three of these "doctors" agreed my feet burning wasn't due to my disc injury. Now here is where you need to pay attention. These doctors are the doctors that my workman's comp told me to visit after I fell at work which caused my disc injury. I decided to get a second opinion and saw a podiatrist out of my own pocket and another nerve doctor as well. Both those doctors stated the burning in my feet was due to my disc injury. I also paid out of my own pocket for a separate more competent PT who told me that the burning in my feet is most likely due to my disc injury and showed and explained it to me in my MRI. So I am honestly lost at this point, I have the doctors who i paid out of my own pocket to see telling me that the burning in my feet is due to my disc injury and the workman comp doctors telling me its not, maybe they are trying to save my workman comp money by not covering it. I dont know. The burning hasn't gotten worse. But it hasn't gotten better either. Our medical field in this country can be a huge joke. It seems that most doctors just dont care.
