Francesco Molino - Variation 13 - Classical Guitar & Maine Botanical Gardens

- This pleasant and playful variation on a theme by Molino is the thirteenth in a series of 36 from his book “Nouvelle Méthode pour la Guitare.” It reminds me of the Andante in Haydn’s “Surprise Symphony.”

This is so beautiful!
Thanks, Mette! I appreciate it! I exported the Botanical Gardens footage to SDR this time so everyone could enjoy it (last time was HDR).
@@Josh.Vanjani is SDR better for TH-cam?
@@eagertoeatasmr Technically HDR is considered "better" because the colors are more accurate and it's brighter, but a lot of people don't have HDR and it doesn't always work on cell phones. Plus, YT always seems to make it darker than it should be. When I convert HDR to SDR, it isn't as bright, but still retains the vibrant color space, making everything a bit more "cinematic".
Wow! Music sounds soft and soothing and the scenery is AMAZING
Thanks, Dad! I appreciate it!
Nice view and melodious music ..!!
Thanks, Dad! I appreciate it!
Beautiful interpretation and beautiful scenery!
Thanks, Rudolfo! Muito obrigado!
Very beautiful piece with outdoor scenery Really excellent playing Josh Great sharing🎸
Thanks, John! I know you have a similar style too, so that's great to hear.
Really nice job Josh!
Thanks, Justin! My first attempt at a tremolo piece. Not as fast as you can do it, but at least I made it through, ha ha.
Excellent
Thanks! Glad you enjoyed!
first..a super outdoor location in the mild autumn sun. second: the tune is pure joy for my ears how you play it!
Thanks, Wolf! That's a great complement!
That is a great tremolo piece 🎶🎶
Thanks, Florentin! I agree, it's definitely not on the scale of "Recuerdos" or similar, but I found it was a good starting point.
Nice playing and tremolo Josh! Pictures and landscape too! 👍👏👏
Merci, Andre! I appreciate it!
👏Quite nice tremolo there, keep up the good work! 😎
Thanks, Tomas! There are 36 of these variations, so you'll definitely be seeing them again. I skipped ahead a few on this one, so I'll have to catch up eventually.
Good job Josh!!
Thanks, Matteo! I think you would enjoy playing this series of variations too.
@@Josh.Vanjani i would liku yes:)
@@Nylon_and_Gut-MatteoLaurenzi Awesome! I have the sheet music linked in the description.
Well done sounds good to dance to
Thanks, Todd! Yes, I agree, this set of variations has great dance rhythms.
Beautiful!
Thanks, Rosie! I appreciate it!
Nice work Josh! This looks like a great right hand exercise piece. I do not think I have ever listened to all the variations in a row. I look forward to one day hearing your complete set!
Thanks, Wyatt! I have a playlist with 10 of these, but do indeed hope to record all 36 someday. Maybe when I finish I'll try to do all of them in a row in one sitting in a studio, or something similar. It hits different to hear them all one after the other.
It does have a slightly similar shape to the Haydn. Pleasant little piece and lovely scenery!
Right on, Steven, glad to see someone read the description! I've actually recycled that same description for this whole series, I just change the number, ha ha. There are 36 of these, so more to come in the future.
Sounds great, Josh! Very cool scenery:)
Thanks, Heino! I appreciate it! Glad to see you back in the comments.
I really liked this one! I don't think I've ever played one single piece of Molino - that needs to change, I guess. On the second half with the reverb...what reverb tool/plugin did you use? Thanks!
Thanks, Tate! Molino seems to be underrepresented in the repertoire. I've linked the method book and page from IMSLP in the description. Before finding this method, I was only familiar with Molino from Pepe Romero's recording of his guitar concertos with Neville Marriner (Op. 56, Phillips 426 263-2, just checked, ha ha). The reverb setting I used was "Medium Concert Hall (Warm)" in Adobe Audition. When I do these scenic second halves, I want to evoke a feeling of nostalgia, almost like a flashback to pleasant times, and that setting seems to be the most "dreamy" of the medium hall options. I started doing this with solo pieces that are under 1 minute. When YT fully rolled out their "shorts" format, even horizontal videos under 1 minute in length no longer counted towards watch time, so this enables each watch to count towards that.
@@Josh.Vanjani Very cool Josh - I'll definitely follow the link and take a look at the music! Yes, I agree, I think you "nailed it" with that reverb setting. Keep up the good work, sir ;)
