Hi Audrey iv got my hotspot working as your video and iv set the master server as the brandmeister but I want to get it to work on the phoenix network so I can use it on say TG 235 TG 1 etc any suggestions?
Hi just a quick question, I have just upgraded by hotspot to the latest version of Pi-Star since then I have to enable Brandmeister Network enable switch, I don't remember having to do that before, and I see In your video it is not enabled, I have just updated the Pi -Star dashboard and just wondered if this has changed in the new version. appreciate your thoughts ? regards Alan

Thank you for your videos, question: I have raspberry pi zero w for a year and the guy that configured it made it so that when there was no activity (incoming, outgoing traffic) instead of a black screen on my display it would show scrolling across the screen a MMDVM screen saver, well since the I configured it myself but I dont know how to get that screen saver back on to show . it looked very cool, do you know how I can get it turned back on ?

What about firewall rules? Ports? Everyone is behind a firewall now and a video describing what ports and rules need to be configured in a firewall to allow pi-star to communicate behind it. Thanks mate.
Hi, Having tried everything, spent 20+ hours on it, read and tried every option, used five different Image files, my THREE DVMM's dont work, they used to about 18 months ago, they all just sit there saying: Stand by, Booting, Modem Initialising, Acquiring IP address, I can however see it on the Dashboard, modify things in the Configuration, then bizarrely, occasionally one will spring into life when re-plugged in and will either RX but not TX, the next will TX but not RX, next min they stop working, one I cant get anything. Two have Nexion Screens which seem fine, one is a basic plastic case with the blue oled display, all have had the above, many Image files loaded, yes I've updated the Brandmeister Master Password in my Self Care... all are Pi Star 0, all did work, not now 18 months later when tried... any thought appreciated. I have an OpenSpot 2 which works fine.... tried this using Phone Hotspot as well but never see PI-Star AP. although they all used to work with the phone as well... Cheers
pi star software need to have the ability to use a Adlam Pluto sdr for the wireless medium, that's because DMR is commercial oriented that's why you have to do all this ID and all these numbers and pass words,
Hey thanks for the prompt reply , appreciate it . This has been a head fuart. so I flash it then its asking me to format it then I obviously dont and there is now no sd card showing on my computer . I am again about to put the sd card in the duplex hotspot and usually what happens is it does not show up on the wifi after leaving it turned on for ages , then I take out the sd card , put it in the pc and it has now got 2 parts showing . the boot and the other part . so I try again .
@@HamTechRadioScannerDrones the chinese aliexpress company I purchased it from gave me the file for disk image for pi star odriod xu4 so that extracted is the only file put on the sd card
pi star local page not working , cant see anything on my wifi connections popping up from it now its plugged in for 5 minutes so I go back and take the sd card out and do it all again but what can I do different ?

Bigger longer antenna put the hotspot higher.
Can I use a base antenna for my Id-52a? and if so can you please recommend.

In the long list in pistar there is a selection for Pheonix but it isnt great .

Ok I'm lost at wifi builder how do you paste the file in the SD card??????
Try again , it's not hard you enter your user and pass hit download then drag the file in to your sd card try harder .

I would only try to get one at a time working I would need to see radio channel setting and config pic .
