- Welcome aboard this Intercity service linking Paris-Gare-de-Lyon to Clermont-Ferrand. Pulled with ease by a valiant BB26000, the 14 cars of this express will cover the 419km linking the City of Lights to the Puy-de-Dôme prefecture in just over 3 hours.
We will successively take the following lines or sections of lines:
- the section from Paris-Gare-de-Lyon to Moret-Veneux-les-Sablons of the line from Paris-Lyon to Marseille-Saint-Charles, known as the “imperial artery”
- the section from Moret to Saint-Germain-des-Fossés of the line from Moret - Veneux-les-Sablons to Lyon-Perrache
- the section from Saint-Germain-des-Fossés to Vichy of the line from Saint-Germain-des- Fossés to Darsac
- the line from Vichy to Riom
and finally, the section from Riom - Châtel-Guyon to Clermont-Ferrand of the line from Saint-Germain-des-Fossés to Nîmes-Courbessac.
Opened in 1858, its history has fluctuated over the years. It was only in 1990 that the entire route was fully electrified, followed by the opening of 200 km/h sections in 2008.
Please note, the trains starts in the Gare-de-Lyon, the station is however incorrectly labelled as Bercy. The stations are however practically side by side.

Another famous line! The Paris-Clermont Ferramd is considered one of the oldest lines in France. I saw few trains! Pass through cities like Nevers, Moulins and Vichy, crossing the Allier and Auvergne! and reaches the volcanic Puy-de-Dome, whose most important testimony can be seen in the Cathedral of Clermont Ferrand, entirely built in lava stone! One of the "musts" of Clermont-Ferrand and overlooks the whole city. Thanks for this beautiful line!

@@gabriellen.2886 I was uneasy at first. After a bit when I acquired skills I became resigned to the power that the locomotives could generate. And the challenges that train dispatchers left to my abilities were met like a dare. One I particularly enjoyed was when assigned a helper I kept going until the summit was reached without the helper which just followed along. Always a crew decision not mine alone.

- une curiosité au niveau de Bourron-Marlotte - Grez, il y a toujours les cibles présentant le ralentissement et le rappel de ralentissement mais l'aiguille vers Malesherbes depuis la voie impaire a disparu. Pour accéder sur les voies de "garage" en sortie de Gare, il faudrait remonter la voie paire depuis Moret.
- la gare de "Neuvy sur Loire" fermée mais célèbre pour avoir été le modèle de la gare "Jouef"

Is it just me or are train videos better when the camera is in the middle of the window center with the tracks
I see your point. Just so you know though, the driver usually sits to one side, so what you're seeing is an accurate driver's view. In some cases a position in the middle is not possible, due to there not being any window there (Re 420 for example).. and close to the middle can also be obstructed by a wiper. Just know that we do our best to get you a centred shot. We don't just close our eyes and see where the camera ends up.
That is such a beautiful trainset...I wish I were it's train operator. I'd go anywhere in France while operating it. 02:12 😊

L'itinéraire de Paris-Gare de Lyon jusqu'à Moret est très pénalisant: 45 mn 1/2!!! Par exemple, les trains de cet itinéraire étaient tracés en 35- 36 mn...à l'horaire de 1965!!!!!
Le départ de Bercy sur la voie 1M, le passage à 30 pour rejoindre la voie 1B à VSG + quelques avertissements liés au trafic notamment 1 avant Moret.
J'ai noté qu'au niveau de Moissy Cramayel, il avait brulé la priorité à un autre corail en voie 1....

Si jamais vous en avez un jour l'occasion, j'aimerais bien voir un cab ride sur le contournement sud du triangle des angles, c'est à dire le tronçon du tgv sud est qui va d'avignon tgv à Montpellier. J'ai l'impression que cette ligne n'est plus utilisée, ce qui est curieux.
Les A.V.E. espagnols l'utilisent me semble t'il dans leurs relations Marseille Madrid

Typical excellent video. I wonder has SNCF thought about raising the top speed of the entire line from just outside Paris all the near Clermont-Ferrand to around 200 km/h? That may be cheaper than building a dedicated TGV line from Paris to near this city.

Sur cette ligne il est prévu qu’à partir de cette année et jusqu’en 2027 soient livrées les nouvelles rames automotrices Oxygène en remplacement des rames actuelles.

A very long, initially rather unspectacular journey with a lot of bushes and trees along the route - without any striking mountains and valleys like in the Alps, for example! But overall an interesting autumn trip along France's rails... 👍
What I noticed while driving:
- Approximately 31:00 minutes: The sun, previously hidden behind clouds, appears and bathes the autumn landscape and tracks in a dazzling light
- Approx. from 73:00 minutes: almost run over an animal jumping from right to left 🙄
- Approx. from 86:00 minutes: The sun appears again and makes the rail surfaces shine, followed by an immersion in a foggy landscape
- A number of former train stations along the route, especially in the last section, show that the days of the railway as the main means of transport are long gone 🙄
Thank you for showing it 🖖 and another suggestion for the future: with videos as long as these, chapters wouldn't be bad, so you could, for example, bridge sections that aren't so exciting by switching to the next area if you want!
But it means additional work for you when editing... 🤔

Le départ est de la gare de paris Lyon et non de Bercy, comment ça se fait que tu circule sur les voies du RER D au lieu d’être sur la voie rapide entre VSG et Melun ?
Plus précisément de VSG à Combs-la-Ville.
Et c'est très probablement une régulation du trafic, afin que ce train puisse doubler le TER à Combs-la-Ville.
De la même manière, le train passe sur la voie 1bis à Melun (avec la limitation à 60 km/h) pour doubler un Transilien R.

je préfère voir les corail Paris Clermont-Ferrand partir de Paris-Lyon plutôt que de Bercy, aussi je trouve que les troncons à V200 sont assez court comparer aux tronçons de Paris-Cherbourg ou Paris-Orleans

Nice video. However, it would have been better if the camera was better placed above the rail track! The is a disconnect between what is being viewed and seeing the rail track before us. At times we are floating above 3 tracks or between two tracks.
