That’s one of the many nice features of EV technology. ICE vehicles with 1,200 hp would normally be a handful to drive in normal day to day situations. Not so with something like the 001FR, where the power is infinitely variable and all served up in a very comfortable and practical package. And it looks great too.
i just checked, that thing cost more than 100000 USD , it's not cheap even in China , but that's probabaly the best performance car you can get at that price point .

The Chinese car brands dream of being in the position Tesla is in right now and having the same level of car that they create for the price. They dream of being as profitable as Tesla too and Tesla is paying far higher average wages than the chinese companies do. Rivian and Lucid are not profitable but their vehicles are top notch technology and outperform ANY Chinese EV in the same segment!
Australians are lucky, there is no trade protection confrontation and no high tariffs here, which allows Australians to enjoy the world's best electric vehicles at a lower price.

The Model 3 Performance weighs exactly the same as the BMW M3. Honestly I don't understand how VW manages to make the ID3 weigh 900lbs more than a Model 3. Or the Kia EV9 manages to weigh 1900lbs more than a Telluride. It's crazy.

That's 1200 hp more than you need, I have a VW polo with 65 hp it can do the legal speed limit and seat five people. Those cars are just willy waving. If you want to drive fast buy a caterham and book a track day.

Yes the definition of fast; is limited to very short range. Le Mans the manufactures championship is a 24 hour race where the winners exceed 5000 kms. The day a BEV can even manage 4000km in 24 hours will be a landmark, today; they might be able to manage 2500 km in 24 hours an average speed of about 50 mph. Amazing speed. Faster charging times may narrow the gap but BEVs can't sustain high speeds due to overheating, another hurdle that will be some time to fix.
The ev can sustain at full power. Because there is enough air to cool the system. It will have had time to maintain speed t slow track. Le Mans is a very fast track, cooling wise is more fogiving than Spa

You probably forgot Nio's 150kWh swapable battery. Their cars can drive easily 200+km/h, a swap only needs 5 min. Let's assume, every 270km = 85min you do a swap within 5min, so to say 270km in 90min, so you can drive at least 1440min/90min*270km=4320km in 24hours. If you optimize the swap for racing conditions (without autonomous parking, but drive-through), even more will be possible. Hey, Nio, why not giving it a try with your ET5?

Swapping isn't very viable as a general use technology though; how many swappable batteries could you have in a general location such as a sports event; concert, or large move of people anywhere. Driving on a track 101 specially in a car with that much power plus being raining you do not put your hands on the steering wheel like that. So defiantly your honest not knowing how to drive a car quick or on a racetrack.

Viking you need to learn how to hold that steering wheel , more control 9 and 3 not by holding the top of wheel.
I don't feel the least bit interested in a 1,000 HP car. But the single motor turns me on at ≈ 500hp
Currently, EVs are at least 500kg heavier that similar sized ICEs, so 500hp should perform like 400hp ICE in similar size at top end.
