I would rather support you than Stamets because he doesn't need the support and i believe the fruit bodies are the way to go ....sooo much love to you and keep kickin ass like only yeww can
Hey, great video! How these big producers make the spawn? I expect them to do the NSNS TEK, but are they shaking when its cooling down? I could never imagine how these big producers do these things
@@fungially ah, sorry, NSNS stands for no soak no simmer grain spawn recipe as I am trying to get an idea how the grain spawn is made on a larger scale (I cant imagine that they soak and simmer them to get the right moisture contant as stands in the most of the recipes online), or are they? :) thanks for the answer though
@@ondrejv416 Yeah definitely NSNS. Some farms do soak overnight, most do not. We use vermiculite in our grain spawn 1000 grams grain then 200 grams vermiculite and finally 1000 grams water. Layered into the bag in that order, makes a 7ish lb bag of grain spawn in regular 14T unicorn bags. Then put it in the cooker.
@@richardtloots3630 Yep there is a guy in the mushroom world who bought like 30 autoclaves and then resold them to farms all throughout the country. I don't think he does it anymore though
Bobby Campbell mate it’s so evident you’re spamming all the different mushroom videos with different accounts to promote this Greg’s mushrooms . Not good man

Informative and educative video you have here.
Thanks so much!
There seems to be a huge amount of plastic bags used in mushroom growing. Are you familiar with alternatives?
Loved this. thanks
Very informative video. I appreciate all parties involved. Keep up the good work
That equipment seems fun to work with lol.

So well explained. Great tat too!
what track is that beat at 14:26
Does the sawdust come from pressure treated wood?
no the sawdust comes from a mill that is milling oak. Pressure treated wood will not work as it has anti fungal compounds in it.
Wonderful farm .Good business. Is it possible to grow shitake in tropical humid latitudes
Yeah sure is!
She seemed nervous but she is a wealth of knowledge.
So much knowledge!
Awesome..how long did it take to get the business this scale? Love the autoclave
Julia started her business, Mycoterra, around 2010 I think. Before that she worked for 3 or 4 years at Fungi Perfecti.
Hi , Greeting from India. Just a quick question, can we make 10 kg bags of substrate and if yes, what are the pros and cons?
9:21 Hmm PC... We love that. :)

No idea what NSNS Tek is. Spawn is made from agar to G1 grain to G2 grain

@@ondrejv416 nope no gypsum or lime in that formula
When will part 2 be posted?
Can i use sawdust from carpenter? it is a mix of all kind of woods
You probably can, just be sure that it doesn't contain any toxic chemicals that can concentrate in the fruit bodies, heavy metals etc..
Most likely not. A lot of carpenters use pine and other conifers which are no good for mushroom growing
Holy shit that massive pressure cooker blew my mind
Yeah that thing can do some serious WORK!
good video, thanks
where did you buy the large scale steriliser?
I think she said from a old canning factory.
@@richardtloots3630 Yep there is a guy in the mushroom world who bought like 30 autoclaves and then resold them to farms all throughout the country. I don't think he does it anymore though
Nice video. Do you use compost or uncompost saw dust?
The oak sawdust is aged for about 4 months if there is time, sometime you just have to go for it!
Where can I find info about your online courses?
Hey Sutton sorry for the delayed response. Our online courses are here fungially.com/mushroom-cultivation-classes/
End Game plans. How many employees?
She has something like 15 employees I think
4:16 boom in the shot. That’s what happens in partaking of psychedelic mushrooms 😄
Nice cool
This is so so tight
Is Austin powers around?
What a beautiful lady
Wow..subbed you
um uh um uh um uh um uh... we get it
The people that did not hire her might have made a mistake!
does she have any employees??
Yeah a bunch! Maybe 15!
they cooked the potatoes in it
Yea funny mushroom farmers mostly think of pressure cookers only for sterilization never cooking 😂😂
My Girl friend grows fungi too, between her toes
I have spent months studying growing mushrooms at home and found a fantastic resource at Gregs Mushroom Grower (check it out on google)
