    I decided to follow my passion for writing books because it's a second income stream but also a passive income. This way I am not only dependent on the writing because I don't think I can make enough of it. I just sent my first manuscript to an editor. Pray for me! I am going to work part time next to writing. I use quantum jumping to be the person I want to be now.

    Montell, you are 27 and I am 72. What delighted me was how much I learned from you and from this video. You lifted me up: I am brand new to TH-cam as GrannyRonna and my goal is to show how much we have to learn from each other.
    What I love is that you don't talk about what to do: You live your life and that shows what is possible. What will be a brand new part of my journey is working on my femininity: Even though I am old, I am still a woman and am curious to learn if all those years in the corporate world taught me to lean into my masculine energy too much.
    Thanks so much for your wisdom, your sharing and your beauty . Of course I will be following you and checking out your videos.

    Thank you so much Montelle, you give me so much motivation! For me the most important thing is my environment, I’m 27 now and I’m still living at home and I regret not moving out earlier, but my dad passed away few months ago and I can’t just leave my mum in a house she can’t afford, but I’m still trying to improve my life and follow my dreams. You’re such an inspiration 💕

      Patricia, sorry about your Dad. I admire your supporting your Mom. We live in a multi-generational household with four pets and it is a bit chaotic to carve out energy to pursue my dreams. And it was tough to decide to go after a new dream at 72, when there were/are so many doubters. But the truth is, Montelle is right. Do your work, your specific work, and your time will come.

    This was the first time I really sat down and took notes of what a TH-camr was saying. I nodded my head like 1000 times because I constantly thought "she is so right" and I realized all these thing seemed so logically too me and so basic but I never thought so deeply about it and how I as a person am really affected. I was always somebody who was very aware of myself and my situation but after this video I got a very different view of myself and how I want to live. After watching this I really feel like I can reinvent myself and my life. Thank you sooo much for this! I was never so much influenced by a TH-cam video 💕 Thank you for caring.

    I definitely feel you on the stepping into your most feminine self, I am 24 and was never made great decisions as far as trying to grow and now that I had my daughter I want to show her differently because I was shown procrastination and not finishing what I start and basically surviving instead of living not having plans and just living day by day. I really do see you as a role model and want to change my life and your videos have helped me mentally
    getting out of those old habits.

    Montelle, this video is full of wisdom and insights, made more personal and practical because of knowing that you have done these things and continue to do them. I love journaling, and learning and the growth mindset.
    I appreciate your point about defining what success looks like for us as individuals. It is easy to fall into the trap of thinking that what "she" has or does is what I "should" do too. But if I have the clear vision of what God wants my life to look like, then I will define success as He defines it for me.
    I also agree with your point about challenging ourselves every day. It builds character to do at least one hard thing a day...even if that is just exercising!
    Focusing on the journey is a hard one for me. I like the end results, but the journey can be long and it takes patience and perseverance. But sometimes the "end" leaves a vacuum that I was not prepared for, and then I wished I had enjoyed the journey more. And it is true, enjoying the journey enables us to grow and sometime it helps us to realize that the ladder we were trying to climb really was up against the wrong wall.
    Dealing with our own internal growth, and taking ownership for our life are great points too.
    You really did put a lot into this video. It could have been a whole series...and really, it still could be!
    You are a wise young women. Thank you for speaking to your generation so truthfully...and truly, all generations as your advice and words of wisdom are timeless.

    I'd to like to point out ladies. Femininity is not purchasing luxury items, going on holidays or earning money. I know she said it's not a must, this is what she personally likes, which is understandable. But she is speaking about earning money a lot more than her other points. Living simple and humble is more Feminine rather than grinding like a man and calling it "having the best." Money is not always success nor isit feminine actually. Feminine is being a receiver rather than going out to grind for it. Femininity is being soft, living in the moment, having a light outlook in life, receiving, being calm and being receptive. It is not feminine having a side hussle, grinding to being financially free to have the "best experiences". This is pure masculinity not femininity at all. Being Ms Independent is not feminine.

    • @DollarsandCollars
      @DollarsandCollars ปีที่แล้ว +8

      This is an interesting perspective. So you’re saying that to be feminine you have to rely on another person for finances? I don’t know a ton about “femininity” honestly so just trying to understand. Does femininity = dependent? You can’t provide for yourself and your family and be feminine?

    • @NitaZeng
      @NitaZeng 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      So are you telling me that women who don't have anyone to receive from and are working hard for themselves are masculine.
      The way you have described your feminity can leave many women suffering after devorce, never married, widows.
      That type feminity of waiting to receive from men creates prostitutes

    Hi Montelle, I don't usually comment but I do love your videos and the messages you share. I feel like I relate to your journey a lot.
    Would you be comfortable speaking more about your experiences travelling (abroad)? Especially as a black woman - what expectations to have interacting with foreign people or any systemic barriers someone might need to be aware of. And or just how enriching your experiences were? I'm hoping to do more travelling outside the UK this year but always feel put off by the horror stories I hear online. I'm just wondering what your take on this is!

    20:07 Great video! looking for the links to the femininity resources you mentioned, are they linked somewhere? Thats what I have been working on recently; which it was on this femininity journey that I came across your channel. Thanks for your insight!! 🙏🏼
