Pl. correct yourself, all Pakistani don't hate India, there are minors (only 1%). A majority of people love India. You just watch your recent movies; Gadar 2, Pathan and Fighter etc. Is this love or hate, please decide yourself. It is very painful for me. But still; I, being Pakistani, love India. Damn!! You and Ghias remind me of "50 Minutes" on Geo News and "Main nahi manta" on Aag TV. Being a teenager then, I used to watch these debate shows and it made me rethink about many dogmatic beliefs I had. Even though I didn't agree to the stance of one side or the other, it was interesting to listen to the opposing arguments. When all such shows/channels disappeared, it made me realize the importance of civil discourse in Pakistan. It has become so suffocating to have an opposing view and not being able to express it. Although I don't agree with everything you say but I hope and I pray that you, Ghias and other rational voices don't get cancelled. Respect!

Excellent podcast. I'm from India and I am a victim of Pakistani sponsored terror. Needless to say, I have a view that all of Pakistan is a mindless religion driven basket case that needs to be dealt with with an iron fist to keep ourselves safe. But listening to a few Pakistani thought leaders like Muzammil still generates hope. I pray that people like him, who have a mind to challenge the constructed narrative, become more than just a miniscule microscopic minority in Pakistan. Probably only then will we be able to move to a more normal relationship between our countries.

@48:00 : It was correct that it was Beethoven. He lost his hearing later on in life, when he was composing one of his greatest works, the Ninth Symphony. He used to immerse his head in water regularly to help with migraines or headaches, and that accelerated his hearing loss. It is said that when the Ninth Symphony debuted, he was also conducting the orchestra himself, but he had assistance from others. The musicians all still played it to perfection.
