- Your Mac is (probably) fine. Save some money and keep it.
But if you're gonna get a new one, go refurbished. www.apple.com/shop/refurbishe...

i'm still running the M1 Max Studio and i see no need to upgrade until M8. lol.
M1 Max is a diff level, could prolly last till the end of the decade
no way, dude's back
i woke up from my coma just for this
uploads got that aura
dont have a macbook, but plan on buying one in the next 6 months, want to future proof myself (i dont do anything really that requires a pro) but i have aspirations to get into heavy editing in the future, and gaming on deployments (i understand a macbook isnt great for gaming, i have a pc, its just more so for when i cant have it with me) any advice?
I wanna be in the ecosystem otherwise id just go windows
M2 Pro
Yup getting an M2 Pro MacBook from the refurbished store or even the base M3 MacBook Pro would be a good idea. I'd estimate that theyll get at least 5-7 years of software support.
If you want to run Windows on VM, I'd recommend at least getting 16 gigs of ram, but you'll likely want 24 or 32 minimum if you want to run heavy games on windows as well.
@@TejTec appreciate it
watching this on my MBP 2019 16 inch
Solid machine - how's it holding up?
@@TejTec still working fine for me, mine is 32 GB of RAM an 1TB SSD
@@SandiMardiansyahwow that ought to last a while
Bro I don't have a macbook, should I buy a new air m3?
go for it. but i’d always recommend going refurbished and saving money with the m2 air, unless your use case specifically requires the m3.
Mom wake up, TejTec uploaded after 20 years with another banger. Anyways you say that I may not really need a new MacBook but what about a new iMac. I'm literally watching this on my 27 inch iMac from 2009 and it has an intel i7 860 with 16 GB of ram. It runs but is a little slow (could be because it has it's original HDD) and it seems to get hot really quickly. I am afraid that it'll blow up at any moment.
iMacs are a whole different story. You could cop an m3 iMac if you wanted as it's a good overall computer.
watching on my late 2013 (yes late 2013) Macbook Pro! hahaha
Miss that OG design tbh. How's it holding up?
@@TejTec Honestly, I have to say that it's a tank! All the physical components work great (I always take care of my electronic devices). As for the software, you can still work with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, or Lightroom, but sometimes it shows its age. Moreover, If you're a developer, you may encounter some problems due to incompatibility. Anyway, for a 10-year-old computer, it works great.
@@juanpazmino8645glad to hear it. I guess it's at that point where the hardware is just outdoing the software, those older machines are pretty sturdy.
HESSSSSSSSSSSS BACKKKKKK

No you don't.
