i actually think the m1 macbook air is the best budget macbook. It can do anything you throw at it.
M2
@@omer24426 m2 only brings up minimal cpu performance improvement and it's much more expensive on used market. not worth it.
As in budget I mean under $300 haha. But the M1 is a great MacBook. You can find them for around $500
Id say the m1 air is not the best 'budget' macbook. But it is the best 'value' macbook. But I maybe be biased as I just bought one off ebay. 👍
To be honest, an M1 air isnt exactly what i would call "budget"....
I have had one of these ever since 2017 and it has never let me down, never had any problems with it.
Watched a number of your videos and you clearly know your stuff and are very informative about what you do which I am sure is appreciated by lots of people on here well done you are a very talented and knowledgeable guy who obviously has a successful business which with a little bit of luck will only grow in size ❤
I love your videos, keep going!
I’m pretty sure on those 2016-17 non Touch Bar MacBooks have upgradable storage just like the 2015 macs
Yes! They sure do. The SSD’s are just expensive haha
bro i love your content keep up the good work
Bro really knows his stuff…love your content 🤝🏽 I’m a happy subscriber
Keep up the solid work
Staingate, stagegate (flexgate), keyboardgate, pure type c, slow cpu, all in one place... and it doesnt even have touchbar (which is a pretty cool feature especially if you use it).
M1 Macbook Airs go for less than double the price, yet the performance and efficiency almost quadruples. And also comes with 2 problems less (keyboard and cpu performance).
It’s definitely a computer which is prone to issues. Although pretty much every retina device has the staingate issue. My 2019 air is starting to get it. Also most Mac’s have that keyboard gate issue as well. Which sucks. It’s a great computer if you pick out one with no issues
Excellent video.
Another great video. You obviously know your onions or should I say Apples! 😃
Love your channel!
Thank you so much! You’re the best!
What battery company did you go with? What would you rate the difficulty? I have a Macbook Pro 2019 that needs the battery battery replacement. Keep up the great content!
That was a really good find.
I got a pretty sweet deal on my 2015 13 inch MacBook pro. it was less than $200, is in almost perfect condition with no dents and minimal scratches, a good battery with 90% of the original capacity, 500 gigs of storage, and the upgraded 2.9GHz i5 processor. the only issue out of the box was that it was missing one of the rubber feet, but all around a great laptop on a tight budget!
Nice! You can find replacement rubber feet on Amazon! Just make sure you get the one for the A1502 MacBook
Might buy one :)
I got my MBP mid 2017 with a 256gb SSD and with A fairly new battery for $140 on eBay in a bid war and I have to say these machines work very well for what it is and can still handle every day tasks
Nice!!
People truly dont realize how great these old macbooks are, even all the way back to the unibodys. During 2020 I got into the macbook refurbishing business and made a good amount of money refurbishing the old uninbodys. While yes they arent as fast as today, they still can pull their weight in most tasks!
Great option, last one with upgradable ssd, still fast in 2024, ok its intel and its loud, but still great option with price, you can run windows easy and butterfly keyboard is not that bad, got mine with new replaced keyboard and new battery for around 250 euros, upgraded ssd to 1tb and its a beast budget daily. And the place i bought it gave me a 2 year warranty.
Im watching from my 15 inch 2017 MacBook Pro with Touch Bar 16GB ram 500GB SSD running macOS Ventura
Where is the best place to get replacement batteries for these
Many thanks!
nice video bro! id like to get one of those off ebay eventually. i actualy bought a 2013 13 inch macbook pro for 90$ because it had a bad battery and anti-reflective coating wear but i put a battery in it for like 50$ and i got the antireflect coating removed by using baby wipes! get the walmart equate brand in the blue package!
Nice!!
That's a great deal but for me, no matter how good that deal is I would try to get the M1 macbook air for a little more cash, M1 vs those intel... it's not just a night and day difference but a complete season difference
Absolutely. The M1’s are really good. This is just for people looking for a Mac for under $300.
April 16 is my birthday I was born back in 2014 and I recently Tren 10 years old 🎉🎉 yayyyyy
where's your shop
Under $200 is a good deal man!
i have a macbook pro from mid 2012. for now it does what i need it to do but ive been looking at either the 2017 macbook pro or the 2018 macbook air but i'm not sure yet
Upgrading it to an SSD and 16GB of ram makes a huge difference!
Do you purchase these in bulk? I have a lot in good condition
Hi how much would one cost?
Where did you get your battery?
I got mine off of Amazon
dear friend Jay i bought a 2011 mb air for 100 euros but with locked bios firmware and faulty battery that it was bloated etc etc and i gave it almost for free....i search for a cheap macbook just for web browsing, youtube and apple music....can you suggest me one? (the 2011 mb air's safari couldn't even open a site i have!!!)
Try looking for a late 2013 MacBook Pro running Bigsur with 8GB of ram! Those are pretty cheap right now. Even the 2015’s
@@JaydonWalter thank you Jaydon!!!
One of the worst MacBooks ever made
Definitely one of the least reliable
The 2016 was even worse with the first generation Butterfly keyboard.
imo if you want a good really cheap laptop just get a 2013 - 2015 macbook pro, they are so good
@@pythonify.If you went that route I’d personally advise getting one that has at least a quad core CPU. But then again, that goes for any computer regardless
@@asinglefrenchfry agreed
I loved that butterfly keys tbh, had all of them since 2013, every single model. The butterfly keys are the best imho. I did have to replace the keyboard a couple of times, that sucked, but it was awesome. And I am a programmer, or was at the time
4:57, i think you damaged the backpanel, look at the top. it has dents now.
before: 4:48
after: 4:57
No that’s just how it flexes :)
I'm just gonna toss this one out there....What's up with the water??
What water? Background noise? If so that’s my fish tank lol
IMO getting an intel MacBook when m1 can be found around 500€ is not a very sensible choice in the long run no matter how cheap you can find one.
This is just a budget Mac for people looking for a computer under $300.
Absolutely trash. I had a 2016 and it was the same as 2017. The keyboard is terrible
Yeah, all the flex cables, paint and hardware they used with it was horrible!
MID 2017 .... ??? !! you have been hunting for one of the WORST macbooks ever made by Apple ..... wow !!! just wow lol ..
lol. It has the most issues but I never really experienced the issues. They re sell good too haha
