I love the XUV 300 in diesel, but while choosing an electric car in this segment, I would choose the Nexon EV over the XUV 400 because of its premium exterior and interior, as well as its unbelievable features. A major factor is that Tata Motors uses newer LFP cell chemistry in its batteries, which is more thermally secure but less energy dense, while Mahindra has used NMC cell chemistry, which packs in more energy but theoretically has a shorter lifespan....

So - do you the thermal runway for both the battery chemistries? Once you will see - you notice - the difference isn’t much. 210 vs 240deg C
Both are fine if you need more boot space and legroom then xuv
If you need more features and design then nexon
In long run battery performance will be more or less similar, any difference can be attributed to user differences

My god, I did not expect such, even electric car needs so much maintenance like
1. Coolant refill/replacement for AC
2. AC filter
3. Air purifier filter (if adopted)
4. Battery health diagnostics
5. Cleaning and Washing (requires frequent cleaning of charging socket if living in dusty area)
6. Wheel alignment / Wheel balancing

I have bought in Oct 2023 driven 26k kms till today saved nearly 3 lakhs of fuel cost and enjoy driving Xuv 400... performance is absolutely fantastic.. I'll be driving in Fun mode and usually got range of 260kms in city and 240kms on highway (Max AC) in fast mode on highways got range of 210 kms and in fearless mode cruising 130-150kmph got range of 170kms 100-15%
Please aap battery ka price bta skte ho kitne ki dalti hai new battery, or kitne saal or km k baad replace karvani hogi, please exchange k saath b bta Dena agr hm apni old battery k sath krenge to
The math doesn't add up
your running cost ->
35KWh * ₹10/unit = ₹350 / 250km = ₹1.4/km
petrol running cost ->
(taking very least avg to get higher saving)
₹104 (petrol) / 13km/L (avg) = ₹8/km
₹8-₹1.4 = ₹6.6 * 26,000km = ₹1,71,600
Even if you saved ₹6,000 on every service ->
₹6,000 * 3 = ₹18,000 + ₹1,71,600 = ₹1,89,600 = ~₹2,00,000
This is the savings when EV is giving max range and petrol vehicle is giving low mileage, and only if you have charged it at home.
Can you please explain how did you save extra ₹1,00,000?

Its like you have paid service cost and fuel costs in advance as premium while buying ev. Its just as simple. If you dont have that much of daily runs you will not recover that extra cost

Bhai agar thora milege seh loge toh mg Astor ka base le lo 11 lakh me bari gari with 5 star safety luxurious interior and exterior aur bheed se alag gaari (city me milege 10 se 12 and highway me 14 se 15)
Do we need to acknowledge the fact that for Electric cars, after every significant running of the car, the battery output and motor output is remapped to give the customer the same power delivery, but the range and life of the battery reduces every year, and when you have to replace the battery, it almost goes up to 50% of the cost of the vehicle, which never happens for Fuel cars where you have to replace the engine after long running

We have multiple nexon ev’s on our owners group which have done 100K km+ still can smoke one segment higher cars in drag race
No range drop either. One guy 180k km in 3y his review is one motorzone channel, no tyre change no brake change.

Getting 280km approx range on highway with cruise control @130wh/km , but in mumbai city driving getting approx 230km range only with 150+wh/km . So plz guide how to get 280+km range in city drive as well

For me it's getting somewhere around 170-190 wh/hr
People should stay away from XUV400. Reason is that Mahindra went into partnership with VW and secured NMC cells from LG initially. Then LG discontinued manufacturing of NMC as it is inferior than LFP ( in most aspects and LFP is a lot safer). Once LG discontinued the NMC battery pack, Mahindra was stuck and it moved to a chinese battery maker Farasis to provide them the NMC battery pack. Mahindra itself have ditched NMC battery pack and their new INGLO platform is using LFP battery pack from BYD ( Blade Tech ). Hence, my suggestion is to keep distance from this particular car. How will they provide warranty/support 5-6 years down the line when they will be using LFP packs in all EVs.

I have the 2024 xuv 400 barely making it 240kms in Fun mode(eco mode) highway and city mix driving. I spoke to a few PPL they claim the same range. Idk how u are getting 240km

Don’t tailgate, maintain half car distance so that you can decelerate using regen without use of brakes
Modulate throttle such that you follow traffic pace, don’t unnecessarily try to cover gap with traffic by going 50-80 such that you have to brake to reach 50 again
