With the glass bed you can have the parts self-release when cool but you have to get the correct amount of squish otherwise they need a scraper and a mallet to get them off, also a lot of people find that their Creality glass beds stop holding the prints after a while, I believe this is due to them not cleaning the build plate with IPA when they first get it, the glue that holds the protective sheet can only be removed by IPA, dish soap will not remove it and after a while that glue bakes solid and no plastic will adhere to it, I learned this during the lockdown as I ran out of IPA and used soap for my second Ender 3, I then got some IPA about a week later and at that time Creality used a yellow coloured glue and the IPA soaked paper towel was covered in it.
I havent used IPA after the first cleaning as Creality dont recommend it, I use dish soap and my glass beds on the Ender machines are nearly 4 years old and still work just fine
You are so correct 💯 I kinda messed up my glass bed by scratching it, I did set up the nosal too close. So far I'm loving the PEI bed that's my favorite so far. I still use the glass sometimes and mostly on my Ender max.

Glass bed (smooth side) is unmatched when it comes to bottom layer finish. No layer lines, no texture. Adhesion can be problem every now and then but the reduction in post processing is well worth it.
I tried that but adhesion is a problem for sure, you would need the glue right? I should test it and make a video about that, thank you
@@techs.passion you can manage pla and petg without adhesives, but the glass should be very clean. Preferably with IPA.

I use the flat side of the glass bed (non textured) and unless you have the nozzle too close the bed (normally at that point your going to scrape the bed) then its a pain in t he ass to remove. If you have your first layer height set correctly (i use a 0.1mm feeler gauge and babystep until you get perfect layers) then it self releases no issue.
I agree, I always recommend the PEI over the glass and I always complain about that. I think being able to bend the bed is really useful. Thanks for watching

I prefer the cryality glass bed but need clean it with soap every 5 prints because after the first printing you need glue.

My opinion the PEI magnetic bed you you need bed leveling every time you remove it
I need to test out the smooth side of the glass bed, let me make a video about that. The PEI bed is awesome, but now I know, I wouldn't recommend installing the magnetic base, but I would use the PEI just like the original bed, and I would replace the weak springs with the CR touch pads. Ender 3 and 3 V2 are very similar and the bed should work on both.
Are you referring to the CR touch code? Is if so, that depends on the mother board version.

I print on g10/fr4, gives a glossy bottom, you don't need to pry at it if you wait for it to cool, but you can still flex it to remove prints right after printing. It is literally the flip side of the original bed

I cot a double sided PIE textured on one side smooth on the other.

How long do you wait for cooldown to remove printed parts?
For the glass bed, you really need to wait for full cool down. For the default or the PEI, it's quick, 1 to 2 minutes will do usually
None of them... FR4 or G10 is the Best Period! Try and see
