Theif: comes in and steal everything Me: checking email after a come back home 😳
Hahaha it's not meant for protection but good point. Here in the full video I mention that this is just to learn how to send the email from ESP32 that is the goal. Thank you for watching
Full video th-cam.com/video/bGXBChDjcGM/w-d-xo.html
Thanks for the video. Can you make a v2 of this where you power the esp from battery, have interrupt wake it when door opened and send an email then have it go to sleep?
Thanks for the idea! I love it and Yes, I will work on that.
cool :)
Thank you
If y’all are using emails for THIS… uh, okay, boomer.
@aussiebox he made something cool and you immediately insulted it.
This is already beyond his knowledge and skills, I don't blame if he actually doesn't like it.
Thank you both so much @Butterman102 and @TheOnlyOne282 :) The main idea is to show you can send email from ESP32. The better way is to subscribe to a server and push notification but you need to forward a port and a phone app not to mention the API for the server notification and while it can be free, most good services charges money for it. Thank you for your comment and the feedback @aussiebox, I will try to make an improved version in the future.
Thanks a lot!
I'm glad this helped, thank you for watching
Congrats on that pal!
Thank you so much :)
I really like your project. Been thinking about making similar project for ages. I have a workshop and I'm interested in knowing if the front door is locked or not. Looking forward to trying this out. I haven't coded anything since the first Arduino Uno came out..
Thanks for the nice comment, yeah try it out and let me know if you have any questions. Thanks for watching
thanks very ussefull
Glad it was helpful!
your losing something in the steps here. You say to home the unit after disabling the steppers, and then you manually move the print head to the right front corner, and then you do not say how you lower the print head to the bed to start the leveling process. This is where I have a problem.
Sorry about that. Auto home will get you to the middle then you manually move it to get every corner. To lower it, you need to take the Z to zero then add the offset needed. If you are still stuck with this, let me know and I'm happy to further help. I also have a free Discord, happy to help more there. It's free Discord: discord.gg/FgVJYEUEXs

I really need one now
Just shared the videos with you, thanks for watching
Is there any detailed video for this
Yes this is the videos here th-cam.com/video/l_7EJuqawkA/w-d-xo.html th-cam.com/video/2D32O9qa_bE/w-d-xo.html
Tell me this. When you go + is the hotend/gantry going to go up or down?
It should go up in this case
Goat.
Thank you so much 😊
What is the capacitors capacitance? Resistors's resistance?
The one I used listed on the diagram but you can adjust based on the desired period
The right angle traces are killing me, but overall really nice. Good job!
Thanks for the feedback, I’ll keep that in mind for my next one! Thanks for watching
Just diagnosed my longer lk1 board. I added a second z axis stepper motor. Bought an extension cable and the backwards wiring FRIED the z axis. Used your video to keep me from over analyzing. Big thank you!
So glad to hear that, thank you so much
What is this update about do I need it?
You don't need it but it's nice to have if you want to upgrade the firmware but if everything is working well for you I would skip that
I would you ever make a vid for controlling the pca9685 with a pi pico ?
Good idea, I have it for Arduino and Raspberry Pi but never for the Pico, I will keep this in mind. Thank you
Dude, your content is awesome. Thank you for this video! Your PCB layout is perfect!
Glad you enjoy it! Thank you so much
@@techs.passion No problem! If you can help with my confusion I’d appreciate it! There’s NC, NO, and common up at the top for the 3 outputs of the relay. And because there’s 3 outputs and only 2 pins, the middle, which is the common, then goes to the middle common pin at the bottom of the relay which u can see on the PCB. Great. But those 3 pins are InV, input, and ground. If you are using 3.3V to initiate the coil, and you have 24V on the top, why would you connect those 2 commons together when they have 2 separate voltages? Hmm maybe that’s why many use diodes with their relays. Still doesn’t make sense! 😔
Hi @PhoenixsRealm, So the input pins and the out pins are not connected. The input pins is to trigger the relay, basically you power it up then use the signal pin to close or open teh switch. The other side (NC, NO and Com) is separate, this is more like a switch, the NC is connected when the trigger is off and the NO is open then it close when the trigger is on. I hope that does help, if not let me know and I'm happy to further explain.
This video will explain more th-cam.com/video/jXEVZga9l1s/w-d-xo.html
@@techs.passion Thank you for the video! I just watched it throughly and it 100% makes sense. I think my confusion is the ones that come already attached to a PCB have a GPIO pin. And I wasn’t sure how that worked.
i had seen these did not know if they were any good. i use a stereo scope most of the time and it records, but you have to remove the eye peice
Hi, Yeah I always wanted one, I think it's really good for someone who does the work I do and so far I have been enjoying it. Thank you for watching

I used to work in a factory making security sensors and shutter alarms etc and we used to use thousands of these I haven't seen one for ages and from what I remember they were manufactured in Mexico I dunno wether that was just our supplier though
Nice yeah there are so many use cases for these. Thanks for watching
It's really helpful😮

Love the project, which type of relay did you use?
Thank you. The same one in this video here. It's the cheap type lol but it's good for education th-cam.com/video/jXEVZga9l1s/w-d-xo.html
Can you teach me how? I really wanna know

Thank you so much, I'm glad to hear it
That magnetic sensor's called a Reed switch. 😉👍🏼

Great to hear! Thank you for watching
Is there a point to this?
Not for those who are not able to read.
You know door and window sensors for house security systems? Same concept. There's probably many many different uses of these.
@@electricheartpony I am aware of the concept of using reed switches in conjunction with magnets to detect the state of windows, yes. I would strongly advise you against trying to design your own security systems though, that's expert work. You'd introduce weaknesses where you did not know that there could be any. I still repeat: What's the point? What he does there I can achieve without an MCU!
@@feynthefallen it's just showing a switch... that is all. As far as I can tell,, there isn't a point other than to show it off cause it's a neat little thing. I never stated I wanted to make my own security system. Just provided an example. Not sure what the point of bringing that up was.
Does it need to? You, for example, have no point, purpose or uses even. But here you are speaking what’s left of your mind. Pointless and needless.
my extruder works but when i print only my new files that i download make it stop moving
Does it move when you move it free style from the printer while not printing, if so, it's not the motor, it might be the print file
Please tell me what it is?
It's a mist maker using the 555 chip. Link in the pinned comment. Thank you for watching
this is for 4.2.7 motherboard, if you make this update to 4.2.2, then your MB will be lost forever
I think you got it wrong. This will work for any version listed on their website which is the case for 4.2.2. That said, you are correct if you are talking about board version 1.x.x Thank you for trying to help
What is the name of the thing you're building it on
It's called breadboard
If you cover the wire connections with a water proof polymer-polymethacrylate or something similar-will it work fully submerged?
Good question, it will not work fully submerged
@@techs.passion Gotcha. Thank you.
I can’t tell if I have that issue any help?
Yeah, if your printer is under extruding that might be a sign
Im getting a .Hex file not a zip.
So when you download you should get a zip folder then when you unzip it you should see the firmware file there and copy and past it to the SD card and make sure it's at the top level and not inside the folders
Is this the same for a creality cr-10 s5 or is this completely different for it because I again did not get a zip when I downloaded it I got a .hex file unloaded it into my printer and it won't update. @@techs.passion
It came as a .hex I don't know what's happening. I would offer to show you if you don't believe me sir.
