    Even being a member my whole life, there’s still a lot of questions I have about the church and sometimes too embarrassed to ask cause it’s stuff I learned when I was 5, and that’s why I love these videos cause they help remind me of the stuff I’ve learned but didn’t fully understand and put it in a nice straightforward video!

      I know the feeling. I'm also a long time member. I encourage you to find a good friend who will listen to your questions and not judge you because "you're supposed to know". That is one of the greatest blessings of a true friend. In the end, people may answer your questions but the right answer will always come with a confirmation from the Holy Spirit.

      The Atonement happened on the cross not in the garden: we are not saved after everything that we can do.
      Grace alone is the cause of salvation that leads to good works.
      Its not Grace if it only makes up a short fall after everything that you can do !
      Totally different Gospel! It's counterfeit!

    Justice is necessary for the coexistence of each individual in the same sphere of influence, mercy is necessary for every imperfect individual to be included in that same place.
    One without the other would mean 1. separation, with the misery of loneliness, or 2. Togetherness, but with misery of injustice.
    With God's plan we can have the best option: the happiness of Justice and the joy of Togetherness.

He has already paid the price for our sins, so that after we chose to violate the law of Justice, we can repent, and become clean again. Justice is the notion that things should be a certain way rather than other ways. Mercy is allowing temporary deviations from the way of justice with the expectation that the way will be restored. That restoration is made possible through the Atonement of Jesus Christ - otherwise, any deviations would be permanent.

    Can I just add a little thought here? It seems this video is talking about transgression, which is disobedience to God's laws -or not keeping them fully. Sin rather is turning away from God. Jesus never forgot his Father in all things, therefore he was sinless. He himself had to learn line upon line, so his perfection was a result of him being holy -he always had the holy spirit with him. Also, he was pure in body not being mixed with the world. He sacrificed himself because it was his Father's will so that essentially there was a way for transgressers and sinners to return to our Father. Babies and children are perfect. They cannot transgress or sin because they do not turn away from their father and they are without law, not knowing the law or being able yet to make a thought through choice, therefore they automatically go back to heaven with death. Saints also can be perfect as their father when they keep his commandment to be baptized as Christ was and then keep with them the Holy Ghost. When we do something that makes the Holy Ghost leave, we then have need to turn back to God through repentance (prayer and asking for forgiveness, then trying to do better). It is his saints that are covered through the atonement. He made it possible for all to receive this blessing, but out of choice many will choose not to and some will choose to. Those who do not choose repentance will have to answer the law by themselves. So, I suppose the essential question is why are we here then if we just go around sinning? Earth life is here as a simulator for real life. Heaven is real life, but without learning how to control our bodies or what life is like without our father, we would not be able to choose him for ourselves or we would live forever in a state that is not controllable. He wants us to be full of truth, love and light and it is only being away from him that we can understand consequence to wrong action or right action. Eventually we will see for ourselves whether or not we can be in his presence or just be happy living some other law. Hopefully that answers some questions.

      brettandstaci If I may just add one thing: While I understand what you mean when you say “the saints are covered by the atonement”, the atonement was given to all people. Every person ever born will be able to return to the Father, whether good or evil. I guess the atonement is much more inclusive when we think about it. However, like you said, to accept all of what the atonement offers and live with God we must follow the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and become the saints of God.

      No you have it wrong. Jesus made no mistake, no transgression, had no disobedience. Even if someone remembers The Father in all things, if you transgress or, that is to say, disobey a commandment, then you’ve sinned.

      What are your questions?

  • @alexoyarzun
    @alexoyarzun 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    God's Justice is always and God's Mercy is always. God protects his kingdom with Justice. If you don't follow the law of love you fall out of grace, but since God is a God of unconditional love for all his children including sinners God protects the sinner when sinning, with levels of unconsciousness, falling deeper and deeper into ignorance, which reduces their spiritual power and at the same time saves them from self-destruction. By similar means God protects the innocent. In order to get closer to God one enters into consciousness obeying his law of love, gaining in spiritual power with knowledge of right and wrong. The great mystery is that God protects the sinner because sinners are actually trying to love so much but don't know how to do it. But, they are trying more than most. This is why we should love our enemies because love is what they are desperately seeking, in darkness; this is all they want. This is why God can be just and merciful at the same time. God's justice protects his kingdom, while God's mercy loves unconditionally all his children. The perfect plan indeed.

      bbarrett726 because justice and mercy don’t work together. The person demanding justice, so that laws have meaning, needs payment. Mercy demands forgiveness of that payment. One robs the other. They don’t work together. But if a mediator can come in between, the creditor (God), received payment for violated law, and we receive mercy because we don’t have the means to pay it. Christ is the mediator, he paid for all sins, something we aren’t able to do. God is paid, which keeps his laws potent (justice). We get second chances (mercy). And Christ is our savior, who makes it all work.

      Hi,
      It is painful to think about things that seem to be unfair, and can cause our faith in, and love for God, and in his Son Jesus Christ to waver, however we should never loose faith in God, because life is hard.
      Jesus Christ's life was much much more difficult than any person has, and will ever go through in mortality.
      Since he has lived through every bit of the most unpleasant circumstances we have gone through, and will go through, he understands perfectly just how much we should go through to help us to learn wisdom, and to be more empathetic towards those around us who suffer also.
      All that is unfair about life can be made right through the atonement of Jesus Christ. Since this life thankfully doesn't end at death, but in life, with physical death being only a temporary separation of spirit from our physical bodies, we will eventually have perfect eternal resurrected bodies, that are incorruptible! Honestly this life will only be a small blink, in God's eternal scheme of things, and he has gone over every aspect of our lives personally, so he knows just how much we can go through to prove our faithfulness to him. We are like toddlers learning to walk, or a child learning to ride a bike. Is the parent going to hold the child up, or hold their handlebars, for the rest of their life? No of course not. Is there a risk in learning how to ride a bike? Yes we can fall off and get hurt. But does this mean that the loved ones who taught us how to ride a bike, or to walk are unjust, or unkind because they let us "ride or walk," for ourselves?
      God bless you to hopefully see just how much God loves you.

    • @gordonbarnes3541
      @gordonbarnes3541 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Because sinning and making mistakes and overcoming them is how we learn. We learn through experience. We have the option to sin, but we also have the option to do the right thing. It is so much more fulfilling to know you did the right thing by your own volition as opposed to being forced to do it.
      It helps to see mistakes and sins as a learning opportunity as opposed to thinking we're doomed or that God is angry and distant with us. God is _not_ sitting in heaven with a clipboard shaking his head in embarrassment whenever we mess up. He loves us, and wants us to learn from our mistakes and come back stronger. If we didn't have the option to sin, we'd just be robots as it were, dormant, never learning, growing, or improving. We wouldn't know how good it felt to do the right thing. Righteousness wouldn't be a choice, but more of an involuntary instinct, like breathing. We need to taste a bit of bitterness to fully appreciate sweetness.

    • @00Fisher00
      @00Fisher00 5 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Life is definitely not pointless. Keep learning, and you will understand. By making correct choices we learn and become more like Jesus and our Father in Heaven, and by repenting after we sin we do the same. We grow in ways we could not grow otherwise.

    You mentioned "Conditions to live with God". What if your parents would put conditions to you that they will love you only if you get big grades at school. Otherwise they will send you away from their home in a place where you suffer.
    What do you think ?

    • @00Fisher00
      @00Fisher00 5 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      God wants to give us everything He has. He gives some gifts freely. Other gifts are very much conditional, and there are reasons for it. One of the free and universal gifts is God's love. Latter-day saints firmly believe that Jesus Christ suffered for everyone, died, and was resurrected for everyone. Because of that, we will all be resurrected and brought to stand before God. Also, because of the Atonement of Jesus Christ, we all have the opportunity to repent, or in other words, we all have to opportunity to accept the greater blessings that God has in store for us.
      Is it fair for God to require certain conditions of us? Absolutely, particularly when He gives us the choice. God is perfect and holy, and only holy people will dwell with Him. We can all be made holy through the grace of Jesus Christ, but some of us will not choose that. Those who don't will be given a joyous life after being judged by God, but it will be less than what they could have had.
      I'd be interested in hearing further thoughts or questions from you about this.

    I always believed in one God Jesus Christ, but to me God doesn't seem so just however.
    Is this just for you? Matthew 20: 1-16 Parable Of Workers In Vineyard For me it is not just at all. With all respect Saint Paul is a great saint. Saint Rita and Saint Pio da Pietralcina were saints from when they were born or baptized, Saint Paul was a criminal who killed thousands of people, he is a saint as much as Saint Rita and Saint Pio da Pietralcina. Does he deserve it? For me he doesn't deserve the same merits as the other Saints i mentioned.
    My wife was being fooled around and being given false results and diagnosis intentionally by criminal corrupted doctors in Malta hospitals, and was being left untreated, suffering and dying for 2 years in Malta, then she moved to UK but as the British hide the Maltese government's crimes for another year she was being left untreated suffering and getting in a worse condition intentionally. In Malta and UK criminal corrupted doctors did not see the damages to her organs although the damage could be seen clearly. When we met she moved with me to my country and the diagnosis she was given were very different, and in my country she began being given treatment immediately. As for 3 years she was being given false results and diagnosis, was being left untreated, suffering and dying intentionally more damage had been done to her organs, if she did not leave Malta and UK she would be dead, she's still alive thanks to Our Lady .The criminals in these hospitals public and private, just rip you off for giving you false diagnosis, maybe prescribe you some pain killer or maybe Cannabis and let you dying. They are allowed by government to avoid tax, to steal patient's money for fooling them around, these are some of the rewards they get for letting patients get worse and die. At present it is more easy to certify false deaths. They also get bonuses for hiding the cause of illnesses and blaming patients for any illness either because of consuming alcohol, smoking, or type of food consumed.
    Do you seriously think that these things never happen in Malta? No medical negligence, no medical malpractice, no illnesses caused by living too close too an airport or port, no illnesses caused by work. Or that the criminal corrupted doctors in Maltese hospitals hide each other's crimes because as they are ordered to do so they are protected by Maltese authorities? They are also involved in International corruption, this has been going on for years, and there were thousands of people murdered this way. This is basically what the Germans did in WW2 known as T4 Program. Which good and loving God would permit this and does not intervene to punish those involved? Which good and loving God would permit these criminals to keep avoiding justice? Are these criminal fascist government's powers superior to God's power?
    I firmly believe in God and Our Lady, we pray the rosary everyday and offer it for the conversion of a poor soul, but with the greatest respect seems Our Lady was unable to change a single soul, how can she convert Russia orthe world? Maybe conversion is not good for that soul? Is that why God didn't grant it?
    Christ had said ''knock and it will be opened to you'', ''seek and you will find'' ''ask and it will be given to you'' ''whatever you ask to the Father in my name he will give it to you'' and ''whatever you ask for you will receive if it is beneficial to your soul''. Are these promises valid for everyone or only for those whom God loves? Same question is in regards of Our Lady's promises. You said that God knows what is best for us.
    God is Our Father, he knows everything and knows things before they happen, which good loving Father who loves his children would grant his daughter to someone who had the intention just to use her and when she got pregnant left her? Seems that God is not so offended by the man's sins and actions because to him he granted more. God seems offended by the woman's sins only in this case. Does God really want to save everyone or only those loved by him? For who's soul was this beneficial? Man? Woman? Baby? Which good and loving Father would deny a daughter having another relation with someone who really loves her because according to him it is adultery?

    Enough of what Mormons think, the word of God says otherwise. God is merciful while we are alive. When we die and didn't repent or accept Jesus as savior his Mercy becomes justice. If I commit a crime against my neighbor and the judge let's me go FREE he is a corrupt judge. Same way with God. If a sinner was too proud to reject Sin today there is a price too pay. Please Mormons start reading the Bible. Jesus is the Messiah, our savior

      Members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints worldwide study from the Bible all the time, and put special emphasis on the New Testament in our studies last year. Like you, we believe that Jesus Christ is our Savior and Lord.

      The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints knows more truth found in the Bible than any other church or any of them combined.
      Other churches study tradition and arbitrary interpretation, we understand the word of God because it has been revealed to us, not because we arbitrarily interpret it like other churches.

      Jeff Smith he said Mormons because that's what the world calls us and knows us as. These videos are intended to be for those who want to know more about the church, who don't have a prior history with it. So of course they had to say Mormons in this video.

    We are NOT MORMONS! And I quote: 3 Nephi Verse 27...tells us that even we have been lax in listening to the LORD not only in this but in all things pertaining to his words.

      Valerie R we need to keep a distinction between the Mormon community and the Christian community, because there IS a distinction.

      @00Fisher00 4 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@BrendonKing Faithful members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints are Christian in the fullest sense of the word. "Mormon" has always been a nickname, based on the book of scripture compiled by the ancient prophet Mormon, but the true name of the Church of Jesus Christ bears His name, and we never want to neglect that.
