I've got this Aptiva too. It was put for sale locally and was in an unused condition so I had to have it. One weird thing I encountered was the performance of the CD drive. It often slowed down to a crawl and froze the whole system. Things got better when I installed another sound card and disabled the onboard audio. Still investigating why these components are conflicting. Glad to see this machine getting some attention from retro channels.
I don't think there's much in it between the two. The Pentium II has more cache though which might help in some ways, but the K6-2 has 3DNow! which is a bit more Pentium 3 like. So I guess it depends on the situation. Thanks for watching!
Oh I meant to say Aztech WaveRider 32, not AudioWave! And apologies for the random flicker on the shot of the Aptiva, not sure what happened there!

That is weird - I've not seen this happen (yet!) Thanks for watching!
Great video! I’ve heard that AMD K-6 CPUs aren’t as good for Windows 98 gaming as the Pentium II is, but I don’t if that’s true or not.

Pentium II is a lot faster than K6 clock for clock. K6 was more comparable to the original Pentium line.
