This has to be the most underwhelming ultimate weapon in RPG history, what do you even need it for if you can only get it at the end of the game, for the second time mind you, when there's only the last boss left to fight? That's just stupid. Most games would let you get the weapon at the end of the game so you can bring it over to Ng+ and use it to clear secret bosses and stuff like that. Major miss IMO
"To aid you on your journey the ultima weapon is available for crafting". Yeah if you beat the hardest mode and get to the end.. which makes using the weapon pointless at that point.. whomever thought of this stupid idea should be fired.🙄
What a waste. Maybe if there was actual post-game content I'd feel encouraged but no, here's a cool sword for one fight. And the first person that spouts BS about all other FF games being that way, they should check their history. Even as recently as FFXV you had tons of post-game stuff you could do.
I am playing NG+ just for the epic boss battles. I was really hoping to use Ultima blade early on by finding the required items but if it's already towards the VERY end of the game, there really is no incentive to even acquiring it, aside from platinum-ing the game 😔 Also I LOVED the Fallen dungeon levels and really wished that was featured more in the game as a grinding area kinda of like XV's Malice Dungeons, where bonus resources items/gil/exp were all there!
Ng+ is only really appealing if their are significant changes to the mobs and bosses mechanics. They story would be a slog to grind through a second time.
I sort of miss how end most game gear were acquired from older FF titles like 4 and 6. You needed to earn these powerful gear by finding and defeating certain tough enemies. It's a shame Square Enix didn't use this method in FF16. In FF4, Cecil's most powerful sword was earned by finding a secret location and defeating a ridiculously powerful enemy. The weapon was well worth the effort though.
And the most powerful weapon in FF9 was Excalibur which could only be obtained by crossing a shiny secret bridge which closes in 10 hours. Requiring you to skip all sidequests 😂
The Story ist great 👍 the game is good Buut i hate to play the same again to get this ultima weapon, this is very lame that Final Fantasy is turned to this double play the same game …. But to get the platinum trophy 🏆 i got to get trough this 💩

That Koji Fox guy should be fired for these sidequests and all that lore stuff. His pretentiousness somewhat suits 14 but for a single player game these sidequests and droning on about bearers and stuff all the time is annoying AF, no way I’d do it twice. Anybody who actually knows instead of just making assumptions?
I don’t like this new final fantasy where you have to play the game twice to get stuff everything could be achieved on the first play through in the old days. I could get a platinum troph in ff7R because of the stupid dress thing this is ridiculous
So basically get to the end again and thats crazy but u know what im not mad cause i wanted to play it again to get 100% trophy my first play through was for the story the second one is strictly for fun and bragging rights and again im not mad
Well F. I need to do the side quests again.... Sigh.
This is lame in my opinion. Being able to craft such a weapon in NG+ only before the final boss.
Yes 💀
Wow. Im glad fhey didnt add rhis to the platinum requirements. Its already hard enough
Shit. This means that if I did not forge gotterdamerung in the first playthrough, I would not be able to forge ultima weapon. BUMMERRRR..!!!!
Wow! A little bit pointless if you can make near the end.
I was really hoping to use Ultima blade early on by finding the required items but if it's already towards the VERY end of the game, there really is no incentive to even acquiring it, aside from platinum-ing the game 😔
Also I LOVED the Fallen dungeon levels and really wished that was featured more in the game as a grinding area kinda of like XV's Malice Dungeons, where bonus resources items/gil/exp were all there!
ff15 was terrible. i would not copy a thing thar noodle ad infested crap fest.
thanks happy
So you have to beat the game twice??????
Essentially
Yea this isn't worth playing through the entire game twice just to use it on one boss
I didn’t even forge Everdark in the base game. Fuuuuck.
Id pay for other characters outfits
What if u sold the ever dark sword? Lol
Ng+ is only really appealing if their are significant changes to the mobs and bosses mechanics. They story would be a slog to grind through a second time.
"And thats it" like its not a huge mission to get 🤦
Bruh so I basically have to do every fucking thing again just to get the sword??? No thanks
The Story ist great 👍 the game is good
Buut i hate to play the same again to get this ultima weapon, this is very lame that Final Fantasy is turned to this double play the same game ….
But to get the platinum trophy 🏆 i got to get trough this 💩
not even trying to get this. they wasted their time putting this in the game. lmao making something for 1 fight with so many steps thinking were just gonna go around fighting beast and things in the world like we have no lives...
I have to do all the side quests again? 🤢 🤮
That Koji Fox guy should be fired for these sidequests and all that lore stuff. His pretentiousness somewhat suits 14 but for a single player game these sidequests and droning on about bearers and stuff all the time is annoying AF, no way I’d do it twice. What happened to cool sidequests like Wutai tower?
The only thing the game is really really missing is transmog for swords.. that thing is soo ugly 😅 I'll never use it, even if that means i'll have a harder time..
This is wack gotta beat it again to just get the weapon 🫠 BrAgGinG RiGhTs🤪
