Amazing video. I just unlocked Shiva abilities and felt so weak for some reason, so I assumed that I was playing her wrong. Now I love most of her abilities.
Love Cold Snap so much Locking down a Boss with precision dodges feels so good! Impulse is super underrated! I find it is a great opener on mobs to just lock a few down while I work on some of the others, and like you showed it can MELT Will when combined with other abilities Great video!
I used impulse as first as I got it and never un equipped it. I like to hit while I also hit. Specially where I'm about to stagger and enemy so the stager damage is as high as possible. Sometimes I timed to release megaflare lv4 and then quickly impulse and then enemy got staggered and all things hit at that moment while of course I used all my other abilities to do a lot of damage, it was like a personal challenge.
thanks! yeah give the mage build a try, it definitely plays different from a melee-build but it keeps the combat feeling fresh... especially after 100+ hrs of gameplay 😅
This is really cool, I'm definitely gonna follow your advice! Just need to upgrade/master the skills first, as I just defeated Barnabas last night, haha
in limit break form, you fire off two magic shots for every press. So does bahamut's satellite fire off twice when you fire off charge shot in limit break form ? or does it still count as one attack ?
I find a lot of AoE abilities are inspired by ff14 they do more damage despite being lower damage such as level 4 megaflare and upheaval due to the amount of enemies hit
So Permafrost occurs when you activate cold snap just before an enemy melee attack hits Clive... if you have good timing you should be able to get it every time. hope that helps :)
I mean sure, the combat system has some hidden depth and strategy if you look for it, but the game does nothing to make you want to perfect it or "git gud" since every optional boss and thing in the game is easy. The only reason to get good at all is to achieve high scores in the arcade or training modes, which is barely rewarding outside of bragging rights. If it was actually hard like GoW or DMC, and hard for the right reasons, then it would be far more incentivizing to learn all the nuances
This is a very valid point. I think knowing these strategies/nuances is purely for an individual's personal enjoyment, and they're not for everyone. Maybe another higher difficulty level could incentivize more players to wanna learn them, especially those players who find the game's difficulty to be on the easier side
@@ahtano yep I agree. I still enjoy watching the video and find it interesting but it's just hard for me to feel motivated to actually get this good at the game when there's almost no reason to outside of personal enjoyment.
Easy! Er I'm watching this video for tips on how to beat the King on Final Fantasy mode, he's the only one I've struggled with at this level 😂 I'm not great at counters and extra hit damage and I think I need that with him
@@sonyaramsay9241 once you get counters or even just dodges down it becomes easy overall. There's a few "harder" parts sure but not enough to warrant becoming a combo master or anything like that. You can beat the whole game using the same load out if you wanted with good dodging or parrying
pointless video. this game is not HARD enough to need guides and this game is not GOOD enough to warrant a second playthrough just to get the challenge in difficulty that should have been there the first go around.
That transition was sooo cool yo
This video is really well made and a ton of research went into it, it's clear.
no idea why you don't have more subs, I've played this game 3 times + arcade mode and I still learn new things from your videos
Very useful and amazing with some very cool transitions !!!
My Eikon build: Shiva (Aerial Blast + Diamond Dust), Garuda (Judgment Bolt + Tsunami), Odin (Gigaflare + Ultimate Demise) while wearing the "double strike" and "precision dodge cooldown" gear.

Love Cold Snap so much

Couldn't agree more 😁 cold snap is awesome! and yeah impulse is slowing becoming one of my favorite abilities in the game next to lightning rod

This was such a good video. I really like FF16, and I want to get better at the combat of it. Your advice was helpful, and your editing is amazing.
thank you! glad the video helped :)
Finally a good tutorial explaining combat
Thank you very much Bro!!!!! You really helped me with the detail that movement delayed Bahamut's Wings of Light's recharge. Your tips are awesome.
Awesome editing work too man! Love the idea of a mage build

it acts exactly the same in limit break form, so no extra shots from the satellites
Highly regarded skill my good sir, underratedly understaded.
Amazing video! Definitely need you to teach me this "rift snap" ability that i hear is so godly in this game.
definitely, that's coming soon in the next video 😁 stay tuned

How can you ensure a Permafrost each Cold Snap, or is that impossible?

Great work man!
I take issue with why it only charges up to level four when Zantetsuken charges to level five
Well done 👍🏽

Permafrost + support ring to delay time completely breaks the game.
Haha rük
It’s not “rewk” it’s rook, pronounced like “book”.. you wouldn’t call it a “bewk”

lol
Final fantasy difficulty is actually pretty challenging if you don’t understand the nuances of the combat
lol it’s so people can learn it’s not pointless
@@ahtano Meanwhile, I'm 420 hours and 7 playthroughs into this game.
Feels so refreshing after playing Odin only since I got it 😂
