Too bad it's manufactured in Tuscaloosa, Alabama. I can tell the difference between a Mercedes that's made in America and one that's made in Germany. They definitely don't feel the same.
@@cgrist7000 love it, really feels almost brand new, not a single wear mark or crack in leather seats or dash, all electronics and speakers work/sound great. Paid 6 out the door, tax/tag/title. Can't believe I got so much car for the money.
I had one of these in high school (2011), bought it with money I saved working at a muffler shop. I thought I was the MAN pulling up in that thing lmao always revving it. Hindsight tells me I was “that a-hole” but damn if I didn’t absolutely love having that beast!
This Suv get a same gas mile and stand the 2008 Hummer h3 what a five cylinder engine . Better gas mileage than the 2015 Chevrolet Express 4500 StarCraft school bus have 6.0 v8 engine. Get under 6 mpg . Any SUVs I drive to Better That bus . I used to drive a 2007 Cadillac escalade EXT get the same amount of fuel miles like that
I'm not an SUV guy but this was one of my favorites...
Bigtime, still would look great today

Still one of the best looking SUVs ever made.
I have to say the new gle reminds me of this. Same stance and looks
@@themercedestraveler9566the GLE replaced the ML, that's why the first GLE63 looks so similar to the last ML63
Worlds fastest suv at the time! ❤
John Davis is doing the most with that description haha 😄
I had one of these a few years ago. So much regret selling it. A simple secondary cat delete and tune and these become absolute monsters!
I just picked one up with 62k miles... It was like it was kept in a time capsule, almost new
How’s it treating you? How much did get it for? Looking at one at the moment

@@peweynewton3562 wow, that sounds like the deal of the century… you stole it for sure!!
Very nice, I got a beater 55 for super cheap but even 2 years after still driving it. W163 are very tough.
The Mercedes Benz M Class (GLE) have been made in Alabama since 1997 for over 25 years. It is my favorite Mercedes Benz SUV to drive.
W163 was a body on frame with low range off-road suv, it was actually considered as a king of suburbs
LOVE this amg
Very beautiful this Mercedes 55 ML AMG

Wheels are 9”X18”
285/50R18 tires
This ML55 may not have been the first ever performance SUV, but the time it came out was when SUVs would never be the same again.
Exact same quarter mile as the 1998 Seville STS and 2015 Toyota Avalon

Too bad they didn't choose to have this manufactured in Germany like they did the GLK!
looks too much like soccer mom's vehicle
Even in 2023 you still can't afford this soccer mom SUV.👍🏾
