    It's so funny that people think if you spend $30 grand on your face, you are selfish or vain. But then they wouldn't think twice about someone spending that much on a kitchen remodel for only cosmetic reasons. Don't feel bad about the amount of your investment. You are your best investment. 🙌

      Great analogy, but it’s still different. I’m a realist and spending 30 grand on your face is selfish and vain, but if you’re going to do it , just own it, like Rachel does here. It just is what it is and people do what they do.

    I'm 66. I've done A LOT!! Spent way more money than 30K. Best was face lift, neck lift, upper lower Bleph at 48. I started tret at 32. Just had a total dental restoration...best decision ever. Yes on eating healthy and doing fish oils, not only for cosmetics but most importantly for health. I want to look and feel great and think why not? I’m a bit older and absolutely couldn’t agree more. We don’t necessarily see the aging process or the effects of treatments unless we compare ourselves to old pictures or old friends. I’m often told that I haven’t changed much and even my own mother (who I visit across the country once a year) is floored and comments regularly on how young and good I look. That’s a win! Omnilux red light mask, monthly retin a micro needling, chemical peels, intermittent fasting, daily activity and other regular healthy habits that I practice consistently.

      I was going to say this. Free/cheap things make so much more of a difference than expensive treatments. Of course there's data of how much any treatment can do... But you can spend a million dollars and it'll all go to waste if you don't have a healthy lifestyle.
      I'm 40 and I notice my skin (among other stuff like joints) becomes so much worse if I don't workout or eat well.
      Most men let themselves go by the time they're 40, but taking care of my (vegan) diet, working out and basics like sunscreen, retinol, peptides - keeps people surprised when I tell them my age.

      I’m 42 and I still look very young. I really never done any expensive treatments or surgeries. All I done is skincare routine, eating healthy and exercising on top of healthy lifestyle. Just so true. Trentinoin, sunscreen, sunglasses and hats, exercise, eat 9 servings fruit and vegetables a day, get your sleep and dump any stress you can. All my friends who followed this routine looked quite young until menopause. After that, things get a little tougher. But the cheap stuff still helps- a lot! I didn't see a wrinkle until 50.

    Love this video! I’m actually a laser tech and there’s a misconception that laser hair removal is permanent and it’s not. It is hair reduction. The results can vary on provider and laser machine but hair can regrow months or years later or never. This is mainly dependent on hormones, medications, & other treatments that can trigger regrowth. Maintenance is very normal but should hopefully be a lot more lower maintenance.

    TCA peels are life changing in slow motion if you commit to a series of them. Just one ain’t gonna do it. But. It’s so worth it especially if you start late 30’s early 40’s. I’ve held off aging as far as my skin integrity for almost ten years and nobody believes I’m 46. I do fascia release - not blasting that’ll mess you all up if you go too hard too fast - and microcurrent and judiciously placed microdosed Botox to just soften movement and I’ve found my sweet spot. I wish there had been a channel like yours back when I was your age because you give solid advice. Keep up the good work ❤

    I had laser hair removal and a few things: you mentioned it's not for dark skin in the video. As someone with dark skin, I had a good experience BUT you have to go to a place that has a specific type of laser that has setting for pigmented skin. Make sure to ask about it before booking and have them do a test spot to see how you react. Also a good, honest specialist will tell you if you're a possible candidate depending on a number of factors. Secondly, I got laser nearly 10 years ago, the place I went to recommended doing maintenance visits 1-2 times a year. I didn't have the money for that, but so far most of the hair is still gone.

    My wife uses Botox and other treatments occasionally and it works really well, it clearly irons out wrinkles without adding anything strange or even lightly unnatural looking to the face. To me the big NO is fillers, I would avoid them like the plague and just try to use all the greatest skin care (that includes possible chemical peeling and lasers etc) and some occasional botox maybe. But the moment you start with fillers it's setting sail to lizard-land...

    Over time, the distance between the bottom of the nose & the top of the upper lip elongates. Getting that shortened will help make you look younger. Also, autologous fat transfers can help many people. And most importantly youthful posture with an elongated neck to keep the cervical vertebrae from collapsing on their discs will ensure a well-functioning thyroid which will keep the skin taught.

    I'm 54 and I began getting botox regularly at 34 or 35. I call it maintenance now. I also do conservative use of fillers and do as little of that as possible. At 40 I got a vertical brow lift and a lower eye blepheroplasty. It was supposed to last 10 years, but I think I still have benefits from it. I use tretinoin nightly and retinol. Now I do red light therapy most days, use hyaluronic acid, niacinomides, copper peptides, a 2 minute jawfit facial exercise practice to tighten my jaw and lift jaw muscles, use a gu sha daily for lymphatic draining system for my face, and i microneedle one at weeo or every other week. I am told I could pass for late 30s to early 40s. I do also get some filler put into my upper check that fills out my cheeks a bit. I have a thin face so I get hollows and this procedure usually lasts a year or slightly less than a year. I do put filler in my lip, but I have no lips normally, but I only use the slightest amount. I am cautious with filler though. I use it very sparingly.

    There's a difference between mature beauty and being old. These women go through this kind of treatment even though they still look young. You cannot fight aging' It is part of life. But you can delay the process by not getting too much stress. I am not a medical expert but I know fully well about this since I'm from the countryside and I can compare that people in my place look younger and healthier than the people I met here in the city.

Then clinics start offering this service due to demand which then makes regular people think it's worthy since all these influences are talking about it and now so many clinics have it... My husband and I have separate finances as well. If he saw how much my skincare routine and procedures cost, he would be in shock, lol. My favorite procedure has always been BBL! You have to get it every few months or so, but for someone with under eye hollows, dark circles, and hyperpigmentation, its been such a game changer. Unfortunately I moved, and tried a new med spa, and was completely botched by Halo laser. Halo was the most excruciatingly painful experience of my life, and left my entire face with an orange peel texture. I haven’t found anyone else online talking about that sort of experience with Halo, but it completely wrecked my skin. During the procedure, it felt like a searing hot knife was being dragged through my skin, and the nurse didn’t believe me when I told her how much pain I was in. Before the procedure, I had numbing cream applied and left on for 40 mins, and it was like it didn’t even work. I’m still pretty traumatized by the whole experience. I’m in my early thirties and starting to see little signs of aging, and I’m trying not to panic. Thanks so much for sharing about all of your procedures, and inspiring me to keep going with my anti aging and skin health journey, despite my one terrible experience. You look so vibrant and radiant, and I would say it was 30k well spent.

    I just stumbled on this video and I love your transparency. I've always been fascinated by face filler.
    I love plastic surgeon Dr Amir Karam's take on fillers, Lory Hill is very insightful & Victorian Cosmetic Institute talks openly about his filler mistakes as a practitioner. (all here on youtube)
    For instance getting fillers under your eyes for many people changes their eye shape.
    FIller increases volume always.
    So filler in the cheeks and chin makes your face bigger & streches the skin. And I read one women's regret of chin filler because it migrated and gave her a bad double chin.

    • @RundownwithRachel
      @RundownwithRachel  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Fillers need to be injected by facial plastic surgeons. The reason you write that it "stretches skin & makes face bigger" is because you see the bad results. Far too many people are doing fillers by non qualified people. I've been doing fillers & botox for over 10 years. I have no such problems that you mention. I wish that they would last longer. I also recommend fraxel treatments. I had severe scarring on my forehead from going through a windshield in a catastrophic car accident. The fraxel helped tremendously. I did my whole face & I looked 5 years younger post fraxel. Recovery time is tough- up to 2 weeks & multiple sessions are necessary, I had 3 total.

    • @MariaLuckyxo
      @MariaLuckyxo 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      All my filler knowledge comes from facial plastic surgeons. Dr Amir Karam here on youtube does an excellent job of explaining why he, as a facial plastic surgeon, doesn't like fillers.
      He has first hand knowledge of how fillers age, how the skin is affected and why they aren't in his opinion the greatest option.
      Filler never fully dissolves as MRI scans prove, so yes filler does in fact stack up over time.
      Though, I can see why you like it and believe in it.
      Some people felt Fraxel didn't work for them at all but I'll definitely look into it considering your amazing results.

I’m 48 now, have worn sunscreen religiously (ok, 75% of all days) since 24, had 2 great Fraxel undereye sessions at 37, and tiny touches of filler about 3 times since 37 to now, lots of facials, eat pretty clean and exercise like a mofo, and I’ll be danged, but the cumulative effects are there! Agree, agree agree!

    I’m right there with ya girl. I do it all.
    As for the machines such as Morpheus and Opus etc they are only as good as the provider you won’t lose fat if the settings are correct and they are using the newest platform
    Skin care is most important. Retin A is a must !!

    I love your honesty! I've spent more than I care to admit. But I'm happy and so is my husband. And I skimp in other ways like not going out to eat, or concerts and events. We hike a lot which is free 😆
    So that's my justification. I agree with what you said about some things just not being worth it. I'm so glad I never went for morpheus. A local doctor was really pushing it. But I read about losing face fat possibly.
    Also I'd like to add that masseter botox hasn't been a good decision. Yes it stops me from grinding my teeth and I don't have the headaches from clenching in my sleep. BUT the loss of muscle has created worse jowls. So I'm going to stop the masseter botox. Not worth having jowls. I'll figure something else out for my teeth. 😕

Please advice on supplements that are for bone density, our faces age also because of the bone loss, I have been looking for a good one to sipport that, from what I know Vitamin K2, D3 and magnesium are important, would be great if you made a video with concrete suggestions and overall your supplement routine! also waiting for the one with sculptra! You are young - enjoy it. I've done some daxxify, sculptra (love it!), laser hair removal - legs, bikini - fantastic results, BBL - great treatment and want more, upper bleph - was medically necessary for extreme overhang and could probably have it done again. I am VERY interested in undereye PRF and/or fat grafting for hollows and dark circles. Tretinoin is also my friend, as are high quality skin care products. I'm 54, so most of this stuff wasn't around when I was younger, and I'm glad that is the case. I didn't "need" any of this in my 40s - hell, I still don't "need" it - I want it to keep looking good and aging as naturally as possible. These days that also includes bioidentical estrogen, progesterone and testosterone, plus a handful of supplements at every meal, 136 gms protein daily.... lots of work.

    I love microneedling with PRP and visualizing! I use expensive skin care products with active ingredients such as vitamin c, glycolic acid, hyaluronic acid, retinol (I forget which form) and I find that works really well for me. I got burned one year ago from fractionated radio frequency and I still need to do something for the scar, luckily it’s under my chin. Botox has been great and I’m thinking to try Dysport.

    I was/am super lucky with hair laser removal. I had it done in 2000 with an amazing provider who are still in business and I go there for all random stuff I do. First I did my under arm and the result were so great that I went back for my legs. I think I spent ~ $3k then. Best money ever spent. I still go without shaving for months! I had dark hair and my skin color is olive. So there was a chance of hyperpigmentation, but they were careful and only increased the intensity with second and third treatments.
