    Looking at the rules of the 75 hard, I'd advise against drinking a gallon of water everyday which is apparently almost 4 liters of water. There is such thing as drinking too much water.

    • @Diana-qp2rw
      @Diana-qp2rw หลายเดือนก่อน

      4 l might be a lot, but it’s not too much for someone active. Something like 10 l would be way too much, but 4 l is totally fine if you workout and have an active lifestyle.

      Or people should add salt to their water to help with electrolyte loss…

      Not a lot of water for me if I drink it throughout the day. And I am active❤

      Actually, 1 gal is appropriate for active people especially in warm areas. I am a physician & a Cardiologist advised this to me years ago. Agree w/ electrolytes a trace minerals / pinch of salt. (This is not medical advice).

    I'm doing this! Except for the gallon of water. I drink a LOT of water but my small frame (and bladder) can handle a gallon! Thanks for the suggestion to make the challenge your own.

I’ve never even THOUGHT about attempting a 75 Hard because I’m older and have a few physical limitations. But if I modify the steps to accommodate those needs, then I COULD do this! Yess!!!! I did my first 75 Hard last year, and it absolutely changed me too! I'm doing it every year now - I do mine mid March to late May (finishing right before Memorial Day weekend), but after watching this video, it's making me want to start it sooner! I'm craving the structure, the peace, and the conviction it gives me. Your tips were spot on! One tip that I would add....it's worth buying the 75 Hard app. I rarely pay for apps, but at $5 or $6 it was soo worth having. It helped me so much to keep track of the daily tasks, and what day I was on. And that dang progress picture was nearly my downfall on more than one occasion! This upcoming round I'm planning to take it when I'm getting dressed to workout in the morning. Waiting to do it at the end of the day is not a good plan for me! Thanks for the video, it was a great one!

      I agree. I got the app from the start, two & a half years ago. I can’t imagine doing 75Hard without the official app. (I don’t usually pay for apps, either.) I like that it keeps the dates & pics of all the times I’ve done it.
      Today is Day 64 for me. :)

    Interesting concept and hadn’t heard about the challenge. Love Libby, get all my books from there. Honestly most of the “challenge” items I already do, and I’m learning to do the opposite: give myself grace. I don’t need to push myself more or be more disciplined. I need to stop feeling bad about being human and missing a workout or eating what I want once in a while. Life’s short! I hope you find good things from the challenge though!

    I started 75 hard last August...made it 2 months, then got sick, so I was in bed for 10 days, but I just continued with it afterwards. I lost 29 lbs and never felt better. It inspired me to do a No Spend January #nailedit
    My 75 days ended on my birthday (Nov 24th). I allowed myself to slide over the holidays and now Im going right back because I crave the discipline (never thought I'd say *That). The hardest part for me was getting all the water in. The next time, I'll do 1/2 gallon. Thanks for sharing your experience!

    Love this! Sounds like an amazing experience on so many levels. But sincere question- what’s the thought process behind the daily progress photos? Seems like it would be just as effective of not more to just do one at the beginning and one at the end? What do you think?

    • @RundownwithRachel
      @RundownwithRachel  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      Im so glad you asked because that is exactly what I thought out the gate. “Is a daily progress photo really necessary?” Although I should find out the REAL reasoning behind it - so far I’ve realized for myself that sometimes the easy things can feel just as challenging as the not so easy things and if anything the easy things are even easier to neglect. So it’s helped me build awareness with that AND I’ll also be curious to see in looking back across the 75 progress photos, what the actual progress looks like, and what the ups and downs amount to over time. Change is never linear - at least that’s what I’m anticipating!

    • @daniellaastor
      @daniellaastor 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      I definitely hear you on the easy things to do are easy NOT to do - I think that was a Jim Rohn quote? And yes, it will most likely very cool to see how progress actually unfolds - in a very NOT linear way! Here's an added tip I've done in leau of daily body progress pics - I've put myself through a style challenge where I take a pic of my outfits every day for a little while. It's the same idea on easy things being easy NOT to do. But it also helps me feel great about myself every day knowing I've styled myself in a way that I love. But of course, that's just if style is interesting and important to you (I suspect it is) :)@@RundownwithRachel

    • @daniellaastor
      @daniellaastor 4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      HA! I totally get that! If you work from home things can get a little too comfy, shall we say? I find that re-evaluating my personal style has helped me feel great about the body I'm in and also consider how style helps me accomplish all that i want in the world. It's different for everybody but it definitely helped me to get a "data set" of what I looked like on a daily basis. @@RundownwithRachel

    I'm just about 5 minutes in watching you sit on your floor and discuss this 75 day challenge and I'm thinking I'm going to do this.
    I only have one dilemma and maybe you could advise me what you think. I'm going to Hawaii on the 26th of this month febuary, to go and be a part of my son getting MARRIED on the beach.
    His fiance is the one who chose Hawaii 🫣 so pretty expensive for everyone to be there, but they're only having 30 people on the beach and the rest of the friends and family will be coming to Phoenix Arizona March 23rd for the RECEPTION. So I'm going to go to both places. I live in Northern California up close to the Oregon border on the OCEAN 🌊🦤🦭🐬🐳
    THIS COULD WASTE OUT TWO WHOLE MONTHS BEFORE BEING ABLE TO START.😮🥴🤔
    Let's face it, life happens, should I just go ahead and start it anyway ❓is it something I can do while traveling? I know for the rest of this month after I do my two more days of vegetables prep diet, i'll start water fasting for the rest of the time before I fly to Hawaii.😅🎉❤
    Can fasting be considered a diet?
    I'm actually very good at sticking to healthy eating because I love whole food 🥝🥑🍅🍓🍉🫘🍳🧄🧅🌽🫛
    I think the biggest challenge would be ❓❓❓🤔 What do you think Racheal any advice ❓

      WHAT a great idea, thank you Rachel 💡 WHEN I get back March 5th I can resume.
      I don't think I'll find it hard to do cuz I don't drink alcohol. I already do Michael Thurmond stretch band exercises every other day.
      So I'll just have to incorporate outside exercises and the reading 📚 I want to do anyway,.. so I think it's going to be a challenge of course, BUT I think I can do it!!
