your monotone style and no frills information is super charming and funny to me, i will be going to you first for this type of content, bravo and well done brother
Thanks for the video! I just purchased the Pocket 3 so I enjoyed learning about all the accessories. I want to use a backpack mount for some POV shots but all of the GoPro mounts are at the back of the camera. This means when it attaches to your backpack, you need to put the camera in selfie mode in order to get the POV shots. This seems counter-intuitive to me. Isn't it hard to see the controls when they are facing away from you? Are there any disadvantages to being in selfie mode? Seems like with the screen facing forward, it's kind of obvious that you're recording. Can you turn off the screen and still be recording? Thank you!
Thank you for your comment. Yes, you could record with the screen off: Swipe down on the screen to access the menu, go to system settings, and then select the time for Scrn Off When Rec. This can be set to 3 s, 15 s, 30 s, 1 mi. And I do understand how you want to set it up on your backpack. For me, I just pull my T-shirt up to see (even though it’s awkward or see it upside down). Or I can detach it from the magnetic mount to see or make adjustments. You may have to figure out how to mount it on you backpack some other way. But let me know how you would go about it. Thank you again for watching.

Please, what does the Usb-c magnetic adapter do that plugging the usb-c cable directly doesn't do? ( I hope this is the answer to why I can't seem to transfer files to any of my devices with the cable !) Thanks !
Not much except snapping it off is a little easier. For Transferring file, honestly I haven’t had problems. Hopefully the cable itself is data transferable.
I’m sure it can be done for overhead shots with proper mounting. Also, it would have to set to “lock” gimbal and have to camera face opposite the screen to control it, focus and so on. I’d say yes. 👍
Thank you for your comment. With the chest mount, the mode I was using was FPV. I didn’t try “Wearable Mode”, it would tend to be better when walking. @TossSong good to know, thanks. My idea was for recording me work. Hopefully, it doesn't have a hard time focusing between my hands and what's in front of me.
American ex-pat in Japan here. Well done. Still learning the ropes on my Pocket 3, but with experience of accessories for the Pocket 2, I've become as big a fan of products from Ulanzi. For quality and innovation, China is the new Japan. By the way, neither Amazon Japan nor Amazon US, nor Ulanzi Japan or Ulanzi is showing the MT-53, though I found it on AliExpress. @@TossSong I have a small, well built tripod, extension, and accessories from them (MT-58, MT-14, ST-10), and a very well made, small, and affordable fill light (VL-49). Impressive cost/performance.
I think you’re doing a great job on not walking slowly and turning quickly. It just proved it’s not an action camera replacement, it’s more like a vloging camera.
Thank you for your comment. One mode I didn’t try in the video is Wearable Mode. However I did separate test with mode, it did unpredictably when I want it to do FVP demo in front of my chest-like doing photoshoots with a Full Frame camera in the front. It tended to sway to the side for no reason. It did better in the walking straight only versus FVP mode.

The power adapter that I used in this video for the Pocket 3 is 20W (iPad adapter), if you’re wondering. I also tested the old 5W adapter (old Amazon Kindle adapter)-but not on camera. Hope that helps.
Just the video I was looking for! Question, is the Amazon Basics Car Dashboard Mount Holder necessary? Won't the suction cup car mount on the dashboard without it? And if you mount it upside down by sticking the suction to the windshield, is there any mode to automatically flip the video or does that have to be done in post? Thanks
Thank you for your comment. On the windshield is possible, but you would have to configure it. On the dashboard, I don’t thing it’s possible. The surface must be glossy smooth. However, I don’t feel the camera would be secured enough either way (above) without the base holder.
Bro what an amazing video. Literally answered like a dozen questions and helped me get around so many issues I knew I would have in the future too! Fast charging, quick moving items to PC etc etc. Legend man, thank you for this! AND you sound amazing too #brohomo
Thank you very much for this. Appreciate you taking the time to watch! I'm glad you got something out of it. Makes me want to continue to make more, but goods, goods. 👍
I used to use magnetic cables until I had one on my Android device that didn't quite connect properly, or something might have gotten in the way I think, and it imediatly powered off and had this weird moisture alert issue ever since :/
Thanks for your comment. I have had something similar. I bought a couple from AliExpress, and they (straight ones) would not connect sometimes, but when I re-snap them back they would work again.
Which type of magnetic adapter worked best for you on the Osmo? I'm wondering if flat or right angle would be best if I have it plugged in a battery bank for filming or streaming all day. Right angle would keep the cable down, but wondering if it would get in the way of holding or even in the way of an extension pole attached. Or if the Flat adapter is better because it'll be off the side of the extension pole/selfie stick. What are your thoughts?
Thank you for your comment. If holding with it, you want to have it between your fingers. And I think the “right angle” one would let the wire downward and not straight forward, so to a battery bank. Either one would get I the way to some degree. I’d pick the “right angle” still. Hope that help.
Tge wearable setting is on the main setting menu. It can also be chosen for power on. Triple tap the joystick when worn and it starts wearable mode. Shame there are no expansion adapters worldwide 😢
@@paulgerrard9227 thank you. I’ve been hunting for it too. No luck. The popularity of the pocket itself makes it even harder I guess. Hope they restock soon
Hi, the small handle with the mini tripod is not yet sold separately-but it will likely soon. However you could buy the battery handle anywhere, it has the screw for the mini tripod. The mini tripod is universal, you could buy it anywhere, cheapest is on AliExpress. (But you could try to contact DJI on their website for the actual handle with tripod you lost.) Hope this helped. Thanks for your comment.
Yes, it does if you walk casually. It’s best that you still walk slowly with it on. But when demoing something while being still like when I sit and play with the Rubik’s cube (in the video), it’s really good.
I bought a screen protector for the Pocket 3, I realized it makes the wide angle lens magnet not as strong and if you shake the gimbal, it will cause the lens to slide/rotate, so just FYI & be careful not to lose it
never mix up different brands of magnetic adapters! i fried an external hard disk enclosure this way once. they might look identical but there can be differences so the magnetic base connector of one brand with the usb connector of another might damage your camera
don't put tempered glass on the camera lens, it weaken the magnetism, the wide angle lens might fall, I remove mine after testing it, if you want protection better by the uv protection magnetic lens
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I’m searching around for one that is DJI or brand name. It’s still a new product, and it may need time for it to be available. However I have ordered PolarPro ND filter set, I may have to use that until then.
Hi, thanks for reaching out. Yes, it should because it can be firmware updated. When the memory card is removed, the same firmware version is still there and running.
Yes, remember the Pocket 3 requires a microSD card with a minimum UHS-I Speed Grade 3 (U3) rating for optimal transfer speed. There are plenty and less costly ones available.
Hi, I ordered all the accessories in this video online. All the links are in below in the description. Hope you find them useful. Thanks for your comment.
wow awesome video and great ideas are already coming to mind with some of those accessories. I'm thinking that suction cup on the hood of a car is going to get some fantastic footage but we need to think about how fast you can go before the wind resistance affects the gimbal. 🤔
The expansion adapter is a dji only product for now. No stock worldwide. Should have been incl in the full kit. The screw thread for tripod use is not very functional if the extra battery is added. Far too high and heavy for that thread
If you want an alternative adapter, i've been working on some custom 3D printed designs including one with a magnetic back and one thats go pro style like the DJI version.
Useful gadget's....lol Please....if you're gonna spend nearly £500 on the pocket 3 don't buy any of this crap, you'll either fry your camera or be picking up your (now) broken camera off the ground. I honestly thought you were gonna sing into the last one...looked like a mic stand..lol

Pro tip: Don’t ever put a screen protector over a lens. It’s not professional & will ruin your lens.
Thank you for this. I had in mind that it could degrade the quality especially on a small lens like this.
A clear or uv filter is better than a plastic layer. Never use a lens protector .
Why will it ruin it , could you elaborate

Great video! thank you!
Thank you for your comment.
You are welcome. :)
The expansion adapter sold out everywhere 😢I heard there’s a wearable mode in setting specifically for the expansion adapter. Is that true?
Tge wearable setting is on the main setting menu. It can also be chosen for power on. Triple tap the joystick when worn and it starts wearable mode. Shame there are no expansion adapters worldwide 😢
@@paulgerrard9227 thank you. I’ve been hunting for it too. No luck. The popularity of the pocket itself makes it even harder I guess. Hope they restock soon
Thank you for this. 👍
I lost my tiny Tripod USB mount thing and cant find where to buy another... lol
Please tell me where to buy magnetic chest straps
Hi, thank you for your comment. Yes, you could find the link to it in the video description. It’s not pricy at all. Hope you enjoy it.
Does it vibrate a lot?@@TossSong
Yes, it does if you walk casually. It’s best that you still walk slowly with it on. But when demoing something while being still like when I sit and play with the Rubik’s cube (in the video), it’s really good.
Keep making these long videos plz,u r awesome
Thank you for your comment and support. I will continue to try, I also enjoy making them. Appreciate it, thank you. 👍
Use that plastic protector sheet instead of a glass for the magnetic wide angle lens, that might work
Thank you for commenting. Sounds possible/workable to me. Hope someone tried it and could comment here.
I bought a screen protector for the Pocket 3, I realized it makes the wide angle lens magnet not as strong and if you shake the gimbal, it will cause the lens to slide/rotate, so just FYI & be careful not to lose it
Thank you for sharing. Yes, and the protector is not specifically made to have a filter over it. So, be careful.
Excellent video
Thank you for commenting. Really appreciate it. 🙏
You have all this game and weren’t affiliated? Heck, I watched it the whole way through and was ready to click those links for the awesome info!
I appreciate you wanting to do so. I’ll try and apply when I can on Amazon. Thank you again.
thanks for this
Thank you for your comment.
never mix up different brands of magnetic adapters! i fried an external hard disk enclosure this way once. they might look identical but there can be differences so the magnetic base connector of one brand with the usb connector of another might damage your camera
I see, I’ll make sure of that. Thank you for this input. Really appreciate it.
Really enjoyed that mate - some great inspiration and no ‘waffle’. Simple and to the point 👏 👏 👏 (subscribed 😁)
Thank you very much for your comment and support. I did enjoy making it. I like testing things relating to new tech. Again greatly appreciate it. 🙏
Nice 😮😮
Thank you for your comment.
don't put tempered glass on the camera lens, it weaken the magnetism, the wide angle lens might fall, I remove mine after testing it, if you want protection better by the uv protection magnetic lens
Thank you for your comment and suggestion. I’m searching around for one that is DJI or brand name. It’s still a new product, and it may need time for it to be available. However I have ordered PolarPro ND filter set, I may have to use that until then.
Micro sd, chest mount necklace, screen protector but don't put one on the lens, car mount, ulanzi mt53 selfie tripod
DJI OSMO PICKET has inbuilt memory ?
Hi, thanks for reaching out. Yes, it should because it can be firmware updated. When the memory card is removed, the same firmware version is still there and running.
@@TossSong today only I have received but it has no sd card...need to buy extra.
Yes, remember the Pocket 3 requires a microSD card with a minimum UHS-I Speed Grade 3 (U3) rating for optimal transfer speed. There are plenty and less costly ones available.
Where you buy?
Hi, I ordered all the accessories in this video online. All the links are in below in the description. Hope you find them useful. Thanks for your comment.
هل جرّبتها على الدراجة الهوائية
Thanks for commenting. No, I haven’t tried on any exercise equipment. It should be as smooth as on anything.
wow awesome video and great ideas are already coming to mind with some of those accessories. I'm thinking that suction cup on the hood of a car is going to get some fantastic footage but we need to think about how fast you can go before the wind resistance affects the gimbal. 🤔
Thank you for your comment. Good point about mounting it outside the car. I would definitely be hesitant.
Tks for your sharing. You are really look like Jackie Chen. lol
Thank you for your comment. I’ll take that definitely. :)
you are so buff! nice video
Thank you, I try to keep myself fit. And thank you for commenting. :)
what about overheating
I have not experienced it. However, before the recent firmware update, fast charging caused charging heat (really hot) that I had been I unplugged it.
Thanks Uncle Jackie
Thank you for commenting.
I love his voice, lol
Thank you for your nice comment.
That POV car scene felt straight out of a movie or video game. I don’t even drive but now I see a wonder use case!
Thank you again. I like that footage a lot myself.
He looks like Mr. Chow from the Hangover
Thank you, I’m flattered. He’s my favorite funny actor. :)
Магнитные фильтры будут плохо держаться из за наклеенного стекла на объектив
I agree. I wish it was possible.
Я согласен. Я бы хотел, чтобы это было возможно.
Toss, howw is it going?~like, you made pro vlog. ciao!😎
Hi, thank you for your comment. 🙏
The expansion adapter is a dji only product for now. No stock worldwide. Should have been incl in the full kit. The screw thread for tripod use is not very functional if the extra battery is added. Far too high and heavy for that thread
Thank you for your comment. Yes, I totally agree. I didn’t want to order it initially, but I caved in. Hopefully more will be available soon.
If you want an alternative adapter, i've been working on some custom 3D printed designs including one with a magnetic back and one thats go pro style like the DJI version.
Sounds very interesting! After, if you could share how it turned out, that would be great. Thanks for your comment.
Drop the chains
Thanks for your comment.
Really a bad idea to put that on the lens in the first place! Google refraction.
Thank you for your comment. Yeah, wanted to try it on but realized later that wouldn’t be a good idea. Just keeping the image quality best as is.
Best accessory is z axe
Thank you for your comment.
thank you bruce lee
Thank you for your comment. 😄
Useful gadget's....lol
Please....if you're gonna spend nearly £500 on the pocket 3 don't buy any of this crap, you'll either fry your camera or be picking up your (now) broken camera off the ground.
I honestly thought you were gonna sing into the last one...looked like a mic stand..lol
Thank you for commenting. I totally got your point. I myself am careful with my gadgets. Just choices to have.
