Hi, you might have seen my comment from the other video talking about the Gigabyte B450m-k. But, I instead bought this exact mobo in this video for my brother because of better features. Thanks.
Great motherboard, only problem is that they put the pcie's too close together, resulting in my graphics card blocking all the ports - luckily I have an ethernet cable and a wifi extender though
@@Tesqieu Did you buy a 5800X3D and use it with this motherboard? I'm currently owning this board and need to know if it can handle the 5800X3D without thermal throttling it.
@@jaydeepmohile yes, im curently using the 5800x3d on the msi b450m pro vdh max motherboard, u just need to run a bios update and thats it (i did not need a bios update since the board came with the latest version) anyway, the cpu runs like a charm on this motherboard
@@Tesqieu Thank You for sharing this information. I have the latest BIOS as I have the habit of keeping the BIOS updated. My only concern was whether the motherboard is strong enough to handle the power requirements of a 5800X3D.
I mean, it does, i already put 4x8gb 3600mhz (patriot viper steel) but my worrie is bcs maybe the controller chipset will be working so hard and can cause a shorter lifetime, or a failure.@@UltraGameWorld
So you need to borrow or buy an older Ryzen 1st, 2nd or 3rd gen processor then insert that into the motherboard. Once you power up the system you will then need to go into the BIOS and update the BIOS version with one you downloaded from the MSI website onto a USB pen drive. After that remove the old processor and insert your 4600g processor and it should work fine.
I wouldn’t recommend overclocking on this motherboard, it’s a basic board and most Ryzen processors don’t have any more headroom then at stock speeds unless you have very good VRM setup and good CPU cooling too
Yeah you can just connect the 4 pin cpu power to the first 4 pins on the connector from the left. It should still be enough power as long as your not using a really powerful 12 core cpu
Yeah should be fine just make sure you update the BIOS first with an older gen Ryzen CPU as it might not be compatible out of the box with the Ryzen 5 5600
in terms of construction, this card can handle up to a 5800x3d in games, and a 5700x to work (stuff like blender), but depending on you may need to update the bios, but I believe that recently it is not necessary, it already comes with an updated bios
keep up the good work
Thanks for the support Mike!
Have had a couple of these, really nice boards for the price 😎
Yeah they are decent boards, this is my second one and both have worked great so far

Thanks glad you found the information you were looking for
exellent mother board had it for 3 years
Yeah had a few of these over the years been great reliable boards
Which is good choice 😅??
MSI B450M Pro-Vdh Max
Gigabyte B450M DS3H v2?
Great motherboard, only problem is that they put the pcie's too close together, resulting in my graphics card blocking all the ports - luckily I have an ethernet cable and a wifi extender though
Yeah it’s a bit frustrating the layout of the board but apart from that it’s a solid reliable board
Which board is better in handling Ryzen 7 5800x3d that board or Gigabyte b450m ds3h v2?
I would go with this board personally but the choice is yours to make
@UltraGameWorld Could you tell me why you prefer the MSI board?
great review, but i was wondering if the ryzen 7 5800x3d is supported for the following motherboard.
Yes this motherboard will support that CPU but I would advise you use a good cpu tower cooler as that CPU does get very hot
thanks for replying, im going to use the new deepcool ak620, thanks a lot for replying ❤❤@@UltraGameWorld

I can use the 4 slot for ram in this motherboard? i have 2x8 patriot viper steel 3600mhz and i want to buy 2 more
Yeah you sure can no issues using all 4 sticks of RAM

Can I pair this expect a good performance with Ryzen 7 5700g?😊
Yeah will work fine with a Ryzen 7 5700g but you might need to update the bios first
Man just buy one of these with a ryzen 5 4600g but I didn’t know that I had to update the bios, what do I do 😭

Are these rams compatible? G.Skill Ripjaws V Gaming F4-3600C18D-32GVK (2x16GB) 3600 MHz
Yeah they are compatible
Does 3600 mhz ram supports on this board with 5700G?
Yes should work fine
My 3600xt works charm on it.
Can I upgrade to 5800x on this board?
Might need a BIOS update first before you upgrade to Ryzen 5800x

@@UltraGameWorldagree, just wanted second opinion, thanks! What about RAM, have Viper gaming 3200mhz, think i can boost em in bios to 3400mhz?
Does the b450m pro vdh max support NVME ?
Yeah it has an m.2 nvme slot
Ima try get this Edit:this will be my first build
Yeah is a good motherboard for a first build
this is a good board if you can afford it though consider a gigabyte b550k for 15 - 20 more
Bro one doubt the cpu power has 8 pin but my smps power has a 4 pin connector only pls help me

Hi im installed everything correctly but im getting a cpu light on mb
What CPU are you running? If it’s a newer one then you might need a BIOS update using an older CPU first before installing your new CPU
@@UltraGameWorld r5 5600g but i have r3400g can i update mb with this
boss man is this wifi ready and has it got 2 ssd slots?
It isn’t Wi-Fi out of the box, you will need a USB Wi-Fi dongle and it only has one m.2 slot for a m.2 NVME SSD
Will it work with a r 3 4100?
Yes but might need a BIOS update first using an older processor
Yes its compatible
can i used this for rtx2070s and r55600 build
Yeah should be fine just make sure you update the BIOS first with an older gen Ryzen CPU as it might not be compatible out of the box with the Ryzen 5 5600
@@UltraGameWorld can i install a rtx 4070 with this setup?
Yeah you can use any graphics card you like
Will it support r5 4600g?
Yeah but might need a bios update
Will it support Gen4 M.2 SSD?
You can put a m.2 gen 4 SSD into it but you will only get gen 3 speed from the board so I would only buy a gen 3 NVME SSD for this board
How many nvme m.2 ssd slot that this mobo have?
Only 1 mate
does it gonna support 4x32gb Patriot Memory Viper Steel ram?
Should do yes but I can’t say for 100% sure
Nope. pcpartpicker says that it only supports 64gb max, and you're trying to put in 128. There are other boards that support 128gb just not this one.
is it okay to use ryzen 5 5500?
Its ok but i think you Will need to update the bios
@@_Kronik thanks!
Yeah fine to use but you might need an older 1st or 2nd gen Ryzen processor to update the BIOS first to get the 5500 to boot using this motherboard

Yes it’s compatible
Does it work with dma cards ???
Not that I know of but possibly not sure
@@UltraGameWorld wym not that u know of I know the b550 does hopefully it does tho it has 2 pci x1 slots and I’ve been told the bios is ideal for it

Yes 1 m.2 slot that will fit an NVME SSD in
@@UltraGameWorld will this mb support 3600mhz ram?
Yes does support 3600mhz ddr4 ram
Will it support ryzen 5600x?
Yes but you will need to do a bios update with an older Ryzen 3000 or 2000 series cpu first then install the Ryzen 5 5600x

No not really I would just run it at stock speeds personally

Yeah works fine with Ryzen 5 3600
can the lan speed be changed to 1000mbps
Yeah it’s gigabit speed out of the box so already 1000mbps
