You may not want to cut your rhubarb when you harvest it. You are supposed to twist it and snap it off at the base so it tells the plant to grow a new stalk. If you cut them the base just sits there and doesn't regrow a stalk. Just a little tip.

Good job on the soldering. Some people never get the hang of it. If you keep a cold, wet rag handy when you're soldering and immediately wipe it around the joint when you're done, it immediately solidifies the solder and you get fewer leaks. I have been you! I learned how to do plumbing and electrical as I needed to! I am so happy with how brave you are to just give it a go! You definitely want to learn to solder. You might also consider PEX piping. It is more tolerant of freezing temperature and won't burst so easily.

Excellent Job Hannah!!! I admire how you can tackle one job to another with no problem, plumbing to installing a window to laying A couple thousand pounds of sand & rock, there's no quit in you & that's what I admire 😊
When you go to fix piping. You have to soldering (sp?) to the pipes to the new fittings. (those connector pieces). That's why the work you did leaked. Of course, also you have more than 1 leak. So fixing them all is imperative. You can't run water right after doing soldering work either, you have to let it dry.
I love your optimism and energy and occasional realistic chaos and honesty. Shark bites work great when installed properly. You have to push them on hard and make sure the pipe bottoms out inside the fitting and there will be no leaks. You can use flexible pex to connect to the same fitting as the copper.

Back in the 70s, my grandma and i spent one whole afternoon perfecting our fresh picked strawberry/rhubarb pie recipe....cutting my rhubarb every year always puts a smile on my face❤
Glad you were able to fix your pipes. I keep telling my husband that the new led pipes are very easy to install and we don't need to pay someone hundreds of dollars to remove and replace the damaged water lines for the laundry room that was destroyed when the pipes froze and burst. The damage wasn't that had at first, but they had to take out the flooring to the joists and the guy who was supposed to fix it kept giving us excuses and it was left with only plastic covering the walls off and being was exposed to the elements from below everything became covered in black mood after 5 months. I contacted the owner of the company and sent pictures and copies of our emails and texts, and a written timeline of everything. He call me the day he got my e-mail and he had people here the next day. Everything had to be removed to the studs and cleaned and treated to prevent anything else from growing. Within 2 weeks they had completely redone the room and I was able to pick out the flooring, paint, new cabinets, and countertops. We didn't have to pay for anything out of pocket due to the treatment we had received from his employee. That employee had been royally told off by the owner and he was told to fix it asap and basically replace everything with better quality items because everything out there had been custom made for the room as was everything in our kitchen which connects to the laundry room. I love how it turned out. Just need to replace the damaged pipes so we can do our laundry at home again. Thank you for sharing your struggles with home ownership.
You might want to reconsider putting a window in the shower because it can destroy the wood and cold really transfers in the winter making it very cold in the bathroom and especially in the shower. You need marine grace sealant and varnish to protect the wood from moisture. A smaller transom window higher up would be better plus it could provide ventilation. I wish you well with your project.
everything about this is so picturesque even when you show us ALL the intense hard work that goes into this lifestyle because you learn and do everything yourself. it's so impressive. but every video, without fail, i'm like What About The Ticks 😨
Sharkbites work if you use the right ones and use them correctly..... I have used them when putting in a new hot water tank and also when i had to cut copper pipe to replace a shut off valve going to my toilet...none have ever leaked. Its also very important to debur the ends of the copper pipe to make them smooth on the outside and inside.. so the inside of the sharkbite does not get damaged by the rough edges.... and that the shark bites are put onto the pipe at the proper depth.. they make a little tool that will help with the deburring and measuring how far to put the sharkbite onto the pipe.
Your ability to just power through learning new skills is astonishing to me! We've been having road and water main reconstruction nearby and our water keeps getting turned on and off and it's amazing how much crap gets stuck in the filters when that happens, so you might want to replace the aerators on your faucets once you're finished.

The things I'm allowed to change, I have made myself comfortable... I hope you know that you inspire others to not limit themselves and become complacent... The way you live your life and endeavour to get things done, while learning along the way even if sometimes it fail (first attempt in learning)... I look forward to your new content some... Wanderlust and freedom from Australia ♥️🌲🌿🍄🌼🌸
Hannah.... I LOVE the way you look at and tackle problems.. I hope to get more like that myself. We bought a fixer upper of a home and there's a LOT to fix.. I want to tackle it like you do your projects! :)
this chic’s so productive.
Molly needs to start her own channel! Would follow for sure to watch the remodel of her boat 🛥️
Almost one million subs. I remember watching your solo Vanlife videos at 300k+ subs. How times have changed 🌱
Your mind is beautifully eclectic.
You did very well with the sweat soldering for a person who has never done it before. Great job!
So happy to hear you are taking the motorcycle class and getting your license. I did that when I turned 60.
Your optimism, especially in the face of some (little or big) problem is totally inspirational! Love all your work!
Thank you to you and Kyle for another great video! It always makes my day
Hannah I love your videos so much! I'm so happy I got here early and got a chance to say that your channel is my comfort channel, inspo for going outside when I know I need to but don't have the energy, and being active for my mental and physical health. I even showed your videos to my dad because hes a welder and builder and is always doing home improvement projects on our mountain home. He's very impressed with your ingenuity and we both wish you the best!
I know it's gonna be a good Sunday when I wake up to a Hannah vid. Got my coffee and just watch the beautiful chaos ensue.
Love your music you listen to and love watching your projects.
Hey Hannah, good job. I'm glad you didn't use the Shark- Bite in the wall. You may have done it already but quick tip, wipe off any excess flux after you solder. 👊
Thanks Hannah for sharing your beautiful life to us!! I love when you sing!God bless!❤
I was just wondering if I was crazy to think about getting supplies to do some soldering on my own over calling a plumber, so this is a very timely video!
Repairing your pipes was Awesome!!!! I always wanted to do this but I was worried that I would make it worse. Great job!!!!
