I absolutely love your channel. You're such an inspiration. Granted, I'm 68, but have lived in the middle of a 7 acre forest for over 20 years. After my precious husband died, 6 years ago, I stopped exploring, even enjoying, my forest. Being recently disabled it is difficult for me to move around, but I push myself....100% thanks to you and your joy for life. I do kinda wish I hadn't sold my van a few years ago. Oh well. So look forward to your videos. In the meantime, I repeatedly watch your older vids. If only other young people could enjoy life like you do. Amazing young woman. 💖 you. You are one extremely special person!
I'm a long time watcher of your videos but I rarely comment, I just wanted to say that as a twenty year old woman with bipolar you make the days when I am depressed so much easier. I literally talked to my therapist about how your videos truly inspire me like nothing else and watching you tackle a project with just music and a good attitude truly is better then any kind of self care. You have such a warm personality and your videos are just a wonderful glimpse into your daily life and it helps so many people, including me. I've had so many people tell me they are proud of how much more I'm doing lately and it's honestly because of your videos! Thanks for dedicating your time to recording for us, it means a lot. 🤍

Ice and water shield under shingles on that whole section would be a good idea, but,a better idea might be rubber membrane and no shingles because there isn't much fall/slope to it. Hey Hannah, your father must be very proud of you as he watches these videos. You are empowering people from all walks of life to try their hands at home and dyi projects. And to work through the challenges. My father passed on Christmas Day 2019, I used to call him and ask questions the way you did in this video. It warmed my soul to see your interactions to say the least. Thanks for the great content. And PS. I’m so glad you found Matt, he’s your perfect partner.
From my experience creosote isn’t as likely to form when a fire burns fast and hot. Your old stove wasn’t efficient but it moved a lot of air thus lowering the formation and buildup of creosote. Your new stove will burn slow and efficient but may require a good seasonal cleaning.
So nice to see Luna again -- she has such an amazing smile! Bummer about the roof, but the new stove looks great. You're so talented! Love your gumption. P/S: Hi Hannah's dad!
If Matt's mom is watching this I cannot imagine how good it probably makes her feel to know that her son found a woman that is so sweet and loves her son as much as she does. That little hug at 23 minutes was the cutest.
Great video. I love your attitude. Opps, there is a hole in the roof. Fill it with insulation, cover it with plywood and slap a sheet of plastic over the whole thing… good until spring. It comes across as no drama, just get it done. The tree is outstanding. Thanks for sharing and I really enjoy you and your extended family and all those that are part of your world!
I never would have thought to put the chimney sweep through a trash bag, what a great idea! The old stove was quite interesting, never seen such a thing, but this new one with the window to the fire is gonna be so much more cozy and efficient to keep you warm. What a great xmas present to yourself for the cold season! Always fun to see what you've been up to!
You are so delightful. I love your no-fear attitude towards everything new and your cheerful approach to 'work." You have me smiling and laughing. The final scene of you and Matt sitting in front of the fire was satisfying after seeing all you went through to accomplish that. Nice choice of fireplace too.
Hannah, so glad you didn’t go up on the roof! Kudos for always having the mindset to take on any task but drawing the line when you need to! I’m always inspired to try a little harder to accomplish stuff when I watch you.😊 happy holidays and the cabins are looking great!

You can move a woodstove easy by yourself using levers. Grab two 2X4s, a four footer and a 38-40"er. Hold the 40"er under the edge (lip) of the woodstove horizontally. Place the four footer vertically under the 40"er, under the lip of the woodstove on the side that faced the camera. Then wedge the four footer under the four footer (kicking the bottom end out towards you as needed), so the 40"er is wedged up under the lip of the woodstove lip. Now push down on the end of the 40"er and lift the stove about 3" up on the side and then facing the camera. While holding the stove up 3", now push the end of the 40"er to your right about 18". That will move the stove (one the side facing the camera) to your left about 8". Not sure the proper term, but I always called it "walking". Rinse and repeat, alternating sides until you walk it back to where you need it. Easy-Peasy. =)
I love the wood stove!!! We had 2 in our house and love it. You need a hand truck! If you moving things around and construction you need a hand truck! Trust me it comes in handy when needed!
You're one happy gutsy lady! So love that about you! You are so enjoyable to watch and listen to and so fearless to tackle whatever is before you!!I am truly inspired!
I know this video is old but I will say you are one of the most inspirational youtubers on here! Your independance and ability to just tackle ANY project big or small with so much focus and determination is absolutely amazing.
So I work at a coffee roastary. We used to clean the chimney at the old place (we just recently moved) once a week, and we had the brush attached to a long rope either side, and a railroad spike on the end. We’d drop the spike down, and one person would be in the roof, and the other would be under the chimney inside, and we’d just pull the rope back and forth for awhile 😂 was my least favorite day of the week.
When Matt started coming around, I was super nervous that he wouldn't live up to my expectations for you..as if my opinion matters on the subject😂.......but anyway. From what I can see, he truly seems to be such a sweet and loving man. I adore seeing your little moments together, he just might be a keeper. What a nice addition to your channel and an even better addition to your life.❤🎄
I can't believe you were really born in 1985. I thought you were in your early 20's! No wonder you are so talented in house restoration. Love the progress you have made in your cottage. I remember one of the first videos when you were trying to level it up.
Hannah, you are so special. You're fun, interesting, intelligent, funny, easy going, I could go on. I'm glad you didn't hurt yourself moving the stove! But it also made me chuckle. Too bad you couldn't put some cool stones in back of stove. But this will look more modern. I love you guys together ♡♡
Love everything about this video. Your sister is so fun and cute and Matt's dancing is delightfully awkward. Keep up the amazing work and enjoy the snowy holidays.
“Might be a stupid idea”…. Ummm it’s brilliant actually. I’ve had wood stoves for over 20yrs and just figured the bag trick out a few years ago. 😆 You’re a great problem solver!
I'm very impressed w/you for tackling such a major project, & making your cabin safer. It's got to be a good feeling, esp being warm & knowing you made it a reality! I think your sister has your personality, & love for music! Glad she was there to help decorate the tree - holiday memories🌲🎄
Hello to Luna. Looking a lot like Christmas! Happy Holidays to you all. Despite the drought here in southern Colorado, we got a foot of snow and the temps dropped way low. Stay warm with that new wood stove. It’s a beaut. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
A regular shop vac works fine, I used one for many years. There are also creosote logs you can burn every so often that help. Oh, and YOU DID A GREAT JOB!!!!!!
Love your new woodstove I have been waiting for this moment and I'm assuming you looked up all the code for your specific woodstove but usually if you have single wall pipe it has be to 21 inches away from the wall even with the cement board. I would just check into that if anything you can get double or triple walled pipe and that can be much closer to walls. Same with the woodstove each specific woodstove has different specs of how far from combustible surfaces it can be. But sorry if you already checked all of this but I just figured I'd mention it my boyfriend and I built a hearth under and around our woodstove and the code was tough to navigate but so happy with it now and so excited that you have an efficient stove with the window! (It's so nice to watch the fire and be cozy) love your videos so much!
Hannah you should look into installing heat vents into your ceiling and walls so your heat travels nicely through the cabin. The new stove looks so good!
All the little diversions are vital thinking time Hannah. I do exactly the same when working on projects I haven't done before. You're working out where things might go wrong and what to do to prevent them, or at least reduce the fallout. Just keep doing you.
Love everything about this video 💜 From getting to see Luna again to the sweet way you and Matt are with each other, your awesome home reno/diy projects, your skills are really getting honed well, your new wood stove, your beautifully decorated Christmas tree … the snowy weather makes everything seem more magical and cozy. Thank you, Hannah for just being you ❄️✨🎄🌙🤘🏻💜

i so look forward to your videos and love your little dances and Matt looks just cool when he does it too which is a miracle because you are so cool and you could easily over shadow Matt but he is the stable one and strong and he is just what you need and he is not embarrased by your out burst of energy Love you both xxx
me: hmmm i would love to watch hannah's videos right now. i wonder if she uploaded. *that same second* youtube notification: HANNAH UPLOADED!!!! my day is complete!! 😅🧡
We always clean our chimney every fall regardless, always better to be safe than sorry!! We have a chimney brush on a rope that's longer than chimney, brush on one side, small weight on other end, when on roof we drop the weight in then it can be pulled down to the bottom, then the person on top pulls it back up & then person at the bottom pulled it back down, easy peasy.
Being from Norway, I can not understand how you can go outside with so little clothing at that temperature.. I would be freezing dead. But then I freeze up until around +20C degrees (I was definitely born in the wrong country) 😜
Humidity makes a big difference. It might not be as humid there and then it doesn’t feel as awful. But I’m with you it seems Americans, in general, have less winter clothes on than us Scandinavians (I’m Swedish)
Hannah please be careful! I had the motivation, drive, and life you have. Needless to say an injury to my back took it all away!! And it happened moving a wood stove. Be careful sweetie

Easy-Peasy. =)
@NPC 1337 Leverage requires levers. I was explaining how to make a lever not how to make a leverage. : )
I love the wood stove!!! We had 2 in our house and love it.
You need a hand truck! If you moving things around and construction you need a hand truck! Trust me it comes in handy when needed!
A nice woodstove with a window to see the fire is everything, isn't it? Much love from Ontario, Canada! :)
The stove looks perfect. You’ll have many hours of enjoyment just watching the glow. Enjoy being much warmer.
So I work at a coffee roastary. We used to clean the chimney at the old place (we just recently moved) once a week, and we had the brush attached to a long rope either side, and a railroad spike on the end. We’d drop the spike down, and one person would be in the roof, and the other would be under the chimney inside, and we’d just pull the rope back and forth for awhile 😂 was my least favorite day of the week.
if I’m gonna be completely honest Hannah’s videos make my day so much better
When Matt started coming around, I was super nervous that he wouldn't live up to my expectations for you..as if my opinion matters on the subject😂.......but anyway. From what I can see, he truly seems to be such a sweet and loving man. I adore seeing your little moments together, he just might be a keeper. What a nice addition to your channel and an even better addition to your life.❤🎄
I can't believe you were really born in 1985. I thought you were in your early 20's! No wonder you are so talented in house restoration. Love the progress you have made in your cottage. I remember one of the first videos when you were trying to level it up.
She was born in 1971. She's 50.
She was born in 1994 lol it’s on her Instagram
i like luna, shes always smiling and and cute.
Matt and Hannah are literal example of caught the vibe for each other....they are so similar
Love everything about this video. Your sister is so fun and cute and Matt's dancing is delightfully awkward. Keep up the amazing work and enjoy the snowy holidays.
always a fan of hannah’s videos. even more of a fan when one direction and their solo music plays in the background
You should buy a dolly for when you need to move all those heavy things, it's life changing!
Your videos truly cheer me up. I had a bad morning. Seeing this video with your darling sister just made my day.
Such an awesome ending to my evening. Love you all the way from Slovenia! ❤️
loved that you played "habit" and then "good 4 u" such a mood
Hello to Luna. Looking a lot like Christmas! Happy Holidays to you all. Despite the drought here in southern Colorado, we got a foot of snow and the temps dropped way low. Stay warm with that new wood stove. It’s a beaut. ❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️❄️
A regular shop vac works fine, I used one for many years. There are also creosote logs you can burn every so often that help. Oh, and YOU DID A GREAT JOB!!!!!!
luna((::: i missed her its been so long!!
luna has such a radiance about her she’s so pretty 🥺
(It's so nice to watch the fire and be cozy) love your videos so much!
watching the two of you dance in the kitchen just melts my heart
Hannah you should look into installing heat vents into your ceiling and walls so your heat travels nicely through the cabin. The new stove looks so good!
Every time I watch Hannah’s videos it feels like I’m watching a home video and it feels so nostalgic and comforting :)
Brilliant job, Hannah! Not every young lady can do what you do. I love your "can do" attitude. Love from Australia. 💞
All the little diversions are vital thinking time Hannah. I do exactly the same when working on projects I haven't done before. You're working out where things might go wrong and what to do to prevent them, or at least reduce the fallout. Just keep doing you.
Love everything about this video 💜
From getting to see Luna again to the sweet way you and Matt are with each other, your awesome home reno/diy projects, your skills are really getting honed well, your new wood stove, your beautifully decorated Christmas tree … the snowy weather makes everything seem more magical and cozy. Thank you, Hannah for just being you
❄️✨🎄🌙🤘🏻💜
You can do it all, You guy walks around as you are doing all the hard work. Your doing a Fabulous job on your home! :)
Hannah you are an amazing and capable person - it’s inspiring!
Ngl, one of the only in-video ads I haven't skipped through lately cause watching you and your sister dance was great. Haha. I seriously live for these videos.
So exciting that the new stove is there and installed, what a happy ending to the video! I love knowing that you guys are going to be extra warm and cozy for Christmas !
My grandad passed away this morning and this video gave me a little moment of peace and comfort. Thankyou Hannah
Your energy and spirit have gotten me through some hard times recently. You seem like such a genuinely amazing person. Keep being you please and bringing the awesome videos.
Your new stove is beautiful. Thank you for another lesson. I very much enjoy them. There is something special about you cottage.
One of my favorite videos of you I'm so happy for you sweetie to see how much love you guys have for 1 another
You persevered! It’s so gratifying to know that you completed another challenging situation. Girl power! ♥️✌🏼🙏🏻
Hope the holidays are going well for you.
Miss your creative content when I have to do the after holiday cleanings. 💕
i so look forward to your videos and love your little dances and Matt looks just cool when he does it too which is a miracle because you are so cool and you could easily over shadow Matt but he is the stable one and strong and he is just what you need and he is not embarrased by your out burst of energy Love you both xxx
you and matt man. i cannot
Matt is just so pure and sweet💕 love you two together!!!
me: hmmm i would love to watch hannah's videos right now. i wonder if she uploaded.
That was hilarious thank you for the entertainment but you’ll get it done I know you will and you’ll be so happy with your new stove!!❤️❤️
you and matt are too pure for this world
Being from Norway, I can not understand how you can go outside with so little clothing at that temperature..
Don’t understand why you are not freezing to death in that cabin while you install that stove?
She did it!!! Always fun watching Hannah reinvent how to do everything..and it usually comes out great when it seems impossible to ...
Good to see you this morning, Hannah! I am looking forward to your tutorial as to how to clean your chimney! Very best wishes and keep warm!
Bruh ur such an inspiration this is how I want to live so bad. Sooo bad. Fixing things as I go just living and learning
Hannah please be careful! I had the motivation, drive, and life you have. Needless to say an injury to my back took it all away!! And it happened moving a wood stove. Be careful sweetie
Hannah, you’re always making me smile! I love your tenacity! I love that you just try things and I love that you have so much support from your family and friends!
