      Before I say what I’m about to say, PLEASE KNOW THAT I’M IN NO WAY trying to be mean & I don’t mean this to sound like an attack on you!!! If at any point I make you feel this way, I want to apologize NOW because once again, I’m not trying to be mean & I’m saying this because I know that reading something online CAN come across the wrong way simply because you can’t tell the tone of something that someone types like you would when someone is actually talking to you in person!!!
      With that being said, I agree with what you said BUT I wanted to point out that the way you worded the first line reads as if you think she’s being selfish because you say “she is lucky enough” & if that comment was about me, I’m just saying me as an example, I would think that you’re implying that I’m not thankful for having an easier life than what could have been.....!!!!!!!
      Do you see what I mean? Again I’m sorry if I offended you because I wholeheartedly DIDN’T mean for that to happen! I also apologize for the long response but some people can be very nasty in the way they type over the most trivial of things & I just wanted to be really clear so that this didn’t happen in my response to you!!!!! 🙂

      She couldn't help her. If you watched the lady mentioned she had anusja out of marriage after she was widowed. In that sort of cultural setting she would have a lot of backlash and she would be on the streets and left for dead along with her child. So they had to go in disguise as surveyors so they could meet her and not let any of the community know, especially in her old age they would throw her out. That's the sad reality in such conservative societies.

It doesn't have anything against the parents who raised them and gave them a good life,they love and respect those parents. They feel more whole as a person once they have all the answers.

      No, not possible. Why would tip an old woman from her home, to move across the world and live in a society that is completely different? She was surrounded with family, had her own house, the family supports itself well enough to eat and the children can even go to school.
      What I learned, was that no money in the world can replace love and warm people around you.
      Also: by being adopted, she doesn't know the language, so there is no way to communicate. So, would taking her with us still be a good choice?
      Sadly, as this is already 4 years old, the mother passed away two years ago. But again, surrounded by family after having a full life!

      She couldn't help her. If you watched the lady mentioned she had anusja out of marriage after she was widowed. In that sort of cultural setting she would have a lot of backlash and she would be on the streets and left for dead along with her child. Her best course of action was to give the kid away. Thats why they had to go in disguise as surveyors so they could meet her and not let any of the community/family know, especially in her old age they would throw her out. That's the sad reality in such conservative societies. Besides its best to leave an old woman like her in their communal homes where they are comfortable and cared for modern medicine would put too much of a strain on them.

    • @keerthana7353
      @keerthana7353 6 ปีที่แล้ว +113

      You people don't understand you live in a world far different from theirs. Why attack the young woman who traveled all the way just to find her genetic link. She doesn't owe that woman anything for just carrying her to labor, They don't know each other they're strangers. Her real mother is back home in Belgium. Besides there's nothing she could have done either way. Just because she lays on a bamboo mat out in her courtyard and moving slow with wrinkly skin isn't because she needs medical attention, it's because of old age. There's nothing you can do. She is a very old woman. Dragging her to a hospital won't fix anything it could actually have adverse effects they are probably used to herbal medications.

      @keerthana7353 6 ปีที่แล้ว +66

      Dude! The whole family there looks fine? What are you on about? She is an old lady let her live her life. Leave the poor girl alone all she did was go on a search. If her mother really wanted to become acquainted she would have welcomed her with open arms not keep everything hush hush. They just whispered and went their own way. They had to act as surveyors not to gain the attention of the community. You are deluded man. Go and do whatever you want in. Give her rice I bet she's so poor! Oh poor woman boo hoo. Wake up dude many people live like her biological mother. They live amazing rich lives because that is their way of life. They are used to sleeping in the veranda, they live in huts in the country side doing cotton business. Just because it looks a certain way doesn't mean they are deprived of anything. Prejudice much?

She couldn’t stay with the mother bc the mother has another family that doesn’t know about her existence. That’s why they did a fake “survey” and randomly talked to other aunties in the village. So 1) the attention wasn’t on the mother and 2) so the village doesn’t know that the mother gave birth to a daughter that was later put out for adoption. That’s why they only whispered to each other too. And why the mothers face is blurred. She was a “secret child” so she came and left secretly too. Sad situation for the daughter. She can’t stay with her mother bc her mother hid her from everyone

      I don't think thar will happen. For her the whole life adoptive parents are her mom and dad. If that is a teenage kid things may be different. She grew up with her adoptive parents for 28 yrs and for her they are her parents. But her life she was curious and wants to meet her real mom which she did. I am sure she will be thinking about her real mom more now and sure support her financially too. Wonderful husband who is supporting her.

      I'm sure parents who adopt are aware of this the day they adopt the baby. But at the end of the day, if a child wants to go back to their blood family is it fair to keep her/him away? They never got the choice in the first place. They didn't choose to be left for adoption. And if they have been so loved by their foster family, how can their heart ever want to leave their family behind for a biological family who left them alone when they were just a baby.

    • @Dheerudr
      @Dheerudr 6 ปีที่แล้ว +111

      Actually the thing is she could not afford to take care of her. So when approached upon she has agreed to give away her child for her better future as she was widowed .
      If not for her adoption she would have ended up living in the same slums as her mother. Hope you understand the point.
      Btw even if she didn’t take care of her it’s the duty of the child to take care of the mother , since Giving the birth itself is a Godly thing. I rest my case. :)

    It's very touching story but missed to see a strong hugs and embrace that would never end with mother and Anusja with emotional sentiments, after meeting years later and finding your own mother in that condition. I really pray and hope that they took care of their mother financially and gave her proper dignity at the end of her life🙏🙌
