I only discovered Brandon Sanderson this year and he has really grown on me especially after he started to be more active on his TH-cam channel, I think he’s a lovely guy. Of course you helped tremendously as well, I really like the flow of your videos, they resonate with me so easily. I appreciate you saying that we shouldn’t feel as we’re missing the hype if we don’t get to the new release now, this truly needs to be said more to remind us that the journey is important and each can take his time. I love the world of books so much. I got reading as a hobby a year ago because my friend constantly forced me to read her favourite book. And then after I have read over 30 books. People generally do not encourage you, here in India, to read novels. Especially for teen like me who is in 15 -17 old. All assume we students must learn word to word all our school books, sit 10 hours at one place studying, get out of marks. And in this all jumble I never touched a single novel. Boks give wisdom which is greater than bookish knowledge I think. Sanderson is one of my favourite author. I read his books, especially way of kings, because of recommendations of you all book tubers. I am now waiting for the new chapter to come of RoW on Sanderson's channel. I always try to encourage my friends and family members to read books. Because, I think, reading books is a way to relax our mind busy life we live. I always want someone with me to discuss the events in the book but I have no one in my friend circle who shares common interest in reading. That one friend I said who forced me to read book, she reads mythology which I do not prefer to read because I love fantasy in with there is completely different world. Here too, you are a great help Elliot. I love to listen what you and all other people think on a perticular book which I like too.

If your friend is open to all kinds of mythology, then you two could maybe bond over "Circe" or "The Song of Achilles" by Madelline Miller. It's not (Greek) mythology in its purest form, but it has that appeal nonetheless.
@@nicholaus3248 I hope that was the case dear. She is not open to all mythology books and nor i am to all fantasy books. She merely have 2to 3 series written by Amish tripathi an indian author.

@@meeramarwade Ah well, it was worth a shot. "Circe" is one of my favorite books of the year, but it certainly isn't for everyone. A lot more ponderous, a lot less action, more... _intentionally lyrical_ than Sanderson's works and the like.

Although, I'm not sure if I'll be able to take that long break between Oathbringer and Rhythm of War, since reading that many books in-between will take much time, especially considering I'm a slow reader...

I'd be so thrilled if I received one of your two international copies. It just might redeem this terrible year. First it was months of joblessness due to Covid, and more recently - within a week my fiancee left, AND I got infected with a non-trivial case of Covid... Revisiting The Cosmere while recovering has been one of the few bright spots.

Thank you very much for the great video. My son and I are huge Brandon Sanderson fans and he actually bought me a signed copy of Rhythm of War. I have either read or listened to Graphic audio of all of his books to date. After years of listening to Graphic audio, I still hear the character voices from the Graphic audio series as I am reading Rhythm of War. If you have never tried Graphic audio, I highly recommend it. Thanks again!
I’ve heard the graphic audio is great! They had it on sale at a local used bookstore once and I’m still kicking myself that I didn’t buy it when I had the chance 🙈
