And with good reason-although I tend to favor their ‘70s stuff, Eliminator really seemed like the perfect album at the perfect time for them. Back then you couldn’t have the radio on for any length of time without hearing Give Me All Your Lovin’, Sharp Dressed Man, or Legs. If anything, the real pressure on them at this time was to follow up Eliminator with something equally impressive.

I’ve never come close to having an awesome amp setup like The Rev - except for this situation. I used to play thru an identical little Peavey like he has here. For some reason mine didn’t sound the same as his.
It looked like that was costly for the end product.. Could've used some lights and lenses and more shots/editing... Zz are pros They handle all of it like pros...the best band ever!!

Hey, what's wrong with Peavey? There's probably been more money gigs played through Peavey equipment than any other brand on the market. They've always been the poor itinerant musician's go-to gear.
@@leonardhudson3810 I know, Skynyrd used Peavey and they sounded great. I was just making a wisecrack at Peavey‘s expense. I used Traynor amps for years and always caught flack about it.
Guys are so cordial mpleasant and friendly. Cool ass guitars as usuals. He sings a little closer to the mic. Gotta be killing those guys. I’m betting could of paid for some waygu beef now. 3k a steak. Better be a good ass steak.
@@mindcontrol67 No I'm dead serious. The drums, kick, snare, hihat... that thundering bass and massive guitar sound. Plus the vocals... all through that little Peavy with a 12" speaker. And, amazingly, it sounds 'exactly' like the record. My guess is the secret is a small parametric equalizer in-line with the mids cut at about 2k with a fairly narrow Q.
They handled this situation with such good humor. RIP Dusty.

Sounds exactly like the album- despite only one tiny amp, no wind-covers on the mics, and probably no electricity at the stage. Now, that’s talent.
